From the latest timetable I've seen, 2008, track 1 (Keystone) is authorized for 110 mph and track 2 (Acela Express) is good for 135 mph.

Honestly, my favorite part of this video was the reaction of the passengers. They are totally accustomed to Amtrak screaming by their station at full speed. But on this occasion when two Amtraks whizzed northward simultaneously, that got their attention! :)

@searchanddiscover Top speed on the Acela through there is 135 mph. Regular Amtrak trains are allowed 125 mph. Really not much of a difference on this part of the line.

Actually the Acela Express has an unfair advantage:  It's good for 135 here on 2 track while the Keystone is good for 110 on 1 track.

I've been railfanning Hamilton Station for nearly four years, I've been there more than 60 times. Of all this I have never seen this or anything even remotely close to it. Absolutely INSANE catch dude. This is too awesome! Great video and catch.

Nah -- my REAL UN-lucky railfanning would be either A. Leaving a grade crossing on the Trenton Line exactly 40 seconds before Q300 came -- with CSX 8814 (CRQ SD40-2) leading. I heard the horn. OR! B. Taking a break from a shared assets local for the two months it had CSX 1554, CRQ GP15-1. Haha.!
