@snipingghost90 this maxima had a lot more done to it than the 5.0, he was running high 13's which is quite a bit faster than you'll see any stock maxima run. I have no problem taking care of the majority of imports in my LS1
wow...my friends 97 maxima is mad slow compared to this....he has a intake/catback/ with a automatic trans...auto or stick it's not that much faster...
a 5.0 mustang runs a mid 15 just like a stock maxima. if the maxima REALLY has full exhaust and intake he would have killed it. A v6 vtec accord 01 is EXACTLY the same speed as a stock 97 maxima till about 80 - 90. I measured all my mods vs this car. With 00vi swap, intake, y-pipe and b-pipes I absolutely pull the doors off the accord now. I pull on him from the second I press the gas. The Maxima should have won.
What year 5.0. My friend took his 98 too the track and it ran a 15.5 bone stock 5 speed.
Also I took my maxima to the track bone stock it ran a 15.6 it's an auto base model. I did 00vi swap y-pipe intake and b-pipes it runs a 14.8 There is no way that maxima runs a 13.0 with full exhaust, the boosted guys have hard times running that. shit 3.5 swaped 4th gens with full exhaust don't even run that. I WILL argue your times beacause I've only ever driven a maxima. i know what they run.
did you not read that he has slicks and nitrous? check out my other videos of him at the track. that 5.0 is a 1990 and it MAY have a cam that was installed before he purchased the car.
the maxima is a manual with headers, no cat, no resonator and electric cutout. he has an intake from a 00 maxima.
watch my other videos with the maxima, one is against a cobalt ss and the other is against a turbo rx7. the ss missed a shift so it looks worse than it really is
Ahh see you didn't say that he had an intake from an 00 max, What you mean is he has the 00vi swap which is a variable intake/manifold swap. The swap is "suppos" to put down more whp than headers. + headers + cuttouts. So I'm guessing he's a while over 200whp especially with the nitrous, then slicks, I suppose if he takes his seats out or is an amazing driver I suppose I could see a 13 second run maybe not a 13 flat but defiantly mid - low 13's. If the 5.0 has a cam then I could see that as well
he ran 13 flat. he was expecting high 12's, he runs 10.6's at 96 all day at our local 1000 ft track. he's only been to the 1/4 once and ran a 13.0 at 104. he's pulling some awesome 60 ft. watch the other videos on my profile and you'll see man
i agree with you ct0386 cause i drive and will always drive 95 maxima =) but anyway 13s no way a vq30 or 35 are strong motors but it is really hard and limited to get 13s with just exhaust.
With headers full exhaust. 00vi and e-manage and a little track practice 4th gen guys break into 13's pretty easily. what's hard is getting lower than 11's or 12's wih 400whp maximas. traction takes it's toll. but it'd still own a vette's ass on the highway.
Lmfao 5.0 mustang vs 3.0 maxima and the mustang loses.... that's y I'm all for the imports

that mustang runs mid 14's, the maxima ran 13.0 @ 104 with slicks and nitrous. at 30 the mustang is in 1st and the maxima is in the bottom of 2nd.

no we are both in first at 30....he can wrap first to like 40 or a lil over....second is a lil under 70 and third is about 90 i think

I have 00vi too. also longtube or shortrunners if longtube I'm guessing OBX. which arn't a cheap brand really they make nice headers for maximas
