  • I'm from Wichita too :DD You have a more Cali twang than I do, tho. Still, Kansas WOOTWOOT :P

  • I live in Kansas RIGHT by the state line of Oklahoma, and my accent is waaaay thicker than yours! I've been to Wichita a lot though and I very rarely hear people who's accent is as strong as mine or my family's, or anyone who lives here... Guess it just depends on where in Kansas you live!

  • I love it! I just spoke to someone today who is from Kansas (and I didn't know at first) and I really wondered when this guy started talking to me, if he was from Ireland. To me it sounds like you got a hint of an Irish accent. Any Irish person reading, please don't be offended, this is just my opinion.

  • Hmm, it sounds like a normal 'standard' midwest accent to me.

  • same town wat wat!~!!?

  • I can't sense your accent, Hun.

  • @Edna13Darkling what do you mean?

  • Go Kansans B|

  • Hey just wanted to say I like yr accent, it's not too harsh or too soft. I'm British and we have a lot of accents too, I'll post a video response, let me know what you think :)

  • @moffTV sweet, i love English accents! (: and thank you!

  • You're so lucky i wanna go back to Wichita! (was born in Wellington though.) But i moved to Alabama lived here since third grade I'm in eighth now. Sorry i just got excited to see someone from Wichita. Gosh i miss Kansas!

  • @inuyashamanic2 haha i hate it here! but i think i'd miss it if i left.

  • @stickmedia1 sweet!

  • im from texas but have lived in kansas for 7 years and my accent is similar to this one. i never developed a real thick southern accent, and most kansans dont have a southern accent. its kind of neutral. now im getting ready to move to arkansas and i have a feeling that accent will really start to wear on me haha

  • @ksn8908 oh i bet people will wonder where you're from. i hate how we can't notice our own accents!

  • Watch out for the Tornado behind you! duck.

  • @Counterbrilliance nice one! don't jinx me! lol.

  • supposedly, some of us from wichita have a problem with over pronouncing the h in wh words (such as "white") and we also have a twangy a, plus we have this thing where we pronounce i's in words more like an eh sound ( as in we prounounce "pin" as "pen" or "sit" as "set") thats all i got :) toodles!

  • @BelaLugosiisdead69 i hate when people over pronounce the H's! lol.

  • i was born in KS (Wichita) and moved out to NorCal a decade ago...thats when i discovered my accent. it's mostly gone now, but i'm told every now and again it pops out :)

  • @cuhrazykidd haha sweet! i love them too! <3

  • woo hoo I live in Wichita too! It is strange because listening to you I realize I still can't hear an accent. Maybe because i'm also from wichita and my accent is exactly like yours

  • @meandmybuds yeah, that's probably it! no one from kansas can recognize other kansans accents :p

  • I'm British (English) but my boyfriend is from north east Kansas. You pronounce some words a lot like he does. It's a lovely accent. It's very clear but it also has character and warmth; maybe because, like others have said, it's ever so slightly 'country' sounding but still quite light and easy to understand.

  • @xXMissFoxyXx well, that's cool (: and thanks, i hear i sound quite country, but it's not as bad as texans haha.

  • @xXMissFoxyXx ew england.

  • U have a southern accent but not that deep. Like u sound like any body. But na

  • kansas has country accents!!! ... missouri is more thick.. dont even get me started on them fake texas people!!!!

  • @kansasocean777 i wasn't aware i sounded country? haha. and yeah, missouri definitely is.

  • @kansasocean777 yeah, texans have a pretty thick accent. :p i don't think mine is all that country though!

  • Ha go Kansas people:DDD woot woot! I really wish I could tell our accents because I mean you notice other states accents except your own state's. Im from Shawnee soo yeahh. Go kansas:D

  • @SamanthaStruckX3 Does Minnesota have an accent? :O

  • SuperGuy209 well thankyou. (: I wasn't aware that I sounded really white haha.

  • omg! like so Hawt . o sorry

i'm from California and you sound like umm.. REALLY AMERICAN . like very very white , no offense. it sounds really nice and American . ;) still hawT

  • @SuperGuy209 You seem to type with a Californian accent. XP

  • @ToRiHale I get that quite a lot. thanks for commenting!(:

  • Uhh southernish but not too strong, that's coming from a different country.

  • @RevanGabriel what about kansas?

  • Kansas

  • @mimigoesrawr that's awesome! (:

  • I live in Wichita too :3

  • @GameingWiz no problem (: kansans have a certain slang and most of us pretty much sound the same. ha.

  • Thanks for doing this! I was born in Topeka, but moved away and in Missouri I listen for accents. I think I pretty much sound like your "accent" lol.

  • @ItsEmmalicious you're not the first person to tell me that ha. xD

  • i think you have a slight country twang, im from oklahoma & i notice it all the time! lol but its barley noticable

  • @Lordtks thankyou :D I love australian accents!

  • Wow your really cute. I'm from Australia i think your accent is cute

  • Excellent. :) Thanks for taking part!

To me (the 'someone else') you have a quintessential American accent. :) If I were trying to learn how to speak with an American accent, I'd definitely copy you! :D You've got a pleasant voice, too. :)

  • @OmniPictures no problem. thanks for the opportunity!(: well, that's cool to hear, I went and listened to how I said it and I can't tell. wish I could though!

and why thank you :D I'd much rather hear your accent over mine!

  • you have a very normal american accent. i wouldnt be able to place it.

  • @bostonteabagger71739 lolwut? she sounds almost british. at times...
