She was the Khorkina of my day, but with class and sportsmanship. Just a wonderful presence, and it was hard to take your eyes off of her.  Her floor exercise at the 1989 World (the perfect 10) is still my favorite of all time.

I love this routine..her tumbling quite difficult actually...and her dance amazing..too bad she stepped OOB because this was worth a 9.8 at least.

I do agree... maybe it was the time... maybe the names of the gymnasts. I liked the virtuosity of the routines. I miss this in our times. And most of all I miss the thrill of a perfect ten.

I was only a teen when I watched her compete on TV back during the 90s...but DAMN SHE WAS AND STILL IS THE HOTTEST GYMNAST I'VE EVER SEEN!!! They way she looks, moves, certainly got my blood pumping-LOL.

love when they were plain bright white leotards like this coz it shows how physically fit the are there muscle look so more defined. Another example of this is Alona kvasha from 2004 olympics :)

yeah i am agree with you. I dont think we will see another gymnast like boguinsakaia anymore or like khorkina or zamolokchikova or lovazniuk, All those great tumblers and dancers are remembered as the best ones, no one like them anymore.

To bad she went out of bound's she would have been close to the top after the fisrt rotation. Connecting skills don't get hardly any bonus as it use to. Like wip backs use to give you alot of bonus. Now their just trying to focus on 4 solid big tumbling runs and then focus on the dance.. Dance gives your more bonus now days.

Yeah, she was 23 when she did this routine...the oldest female gymnast to compete in the Olympics this year.

Funny how back in 88 and 92 she looked like you couldn't approach her because she had an appearance which made her look mean-almost evil looking. But look at her here! She doesn't look like that at all anymore!

What I like too about this video : she was the last one to compete, and you just see all the people looking at her, even the staff... She was a great athlete and this was really her moment in Atlanta. Yep, too bad for the out of bounds...
