This makes me so sad, why can'y she just make Damon happy, he deserves it not Stephan. Stephan has gotten everything he's ever wanted while Damon gets nothing.
i, like every delena fan, cringed when she said that because 1.ouch the poor guy loves you and 2.hello its damon! but at the same time a huge part of elena's character is her loyalty and her upholding the moral code she's set even when everything in her is screaming otherwise. she's still unsure of damon and she will not betray stefan.

Damon has accepted it and feels alot more than he's given credit for. And this season was totally Delena. It was a total build up of their relationship and how they grow close to end with a big boom in the season finale.
