@braddfordy The Viper SRT10 has a 220 MPH speedo, and the ZR1 Corvette. Its obvious those cars will not go 220. The digital readout is dumb just put at least 180 on the speedo.
with the key turned off, hold down the reset button for the odometer as you start the car. It will go into a diagnostic mode, and you can then cycle through a number of settings.. RPM of the engine, voltage, mph of the vehicle etc etc etc..to get out of it while the engine's still running, hold down the button again and it will exit..
Your point? any car can cruise at a high speed with ease. Just might take some longer to get to that speed.... its not an accomplishment to cruise at 90mph.
there is a function that you can do with the key to cycle through ECU inputs and outputs on Ford vehicles.....that are displayed on the odometer....so he had the MPH setting displayed on there...if you watch again...you can see that it does say 169 on the right side of the display..
It's actually pretty simple: You merely gauge the distance it's gone past 160 versus the distance between the numbers before 160. I.E. 1/2 inch might equal 10 mph... I did it in my 1986 GT which only went to 85 on the speedo. Gonna tell me it only went 85?? More like 140 was top and I did close to that, based on RPM's in 5th alone...

supra=god of cars! 2jz owns. i love cobra's and i own a mustang myself but there are like no vids of mustangs beating supra's on here. you have to look really hard and there is like two vids but the supra's were basically stock.
Stock to stock a supra loses to a cobra. What do you expect when they are half a second faster to begin with? A smaller pulley is all it takes to dip into the elevens and that is with 20k for the car and a 50 dollar pulley. You can't even buy a supra for that much less run elevens. Supra's are overpriced and the few that are wicked fast are trailer queens. There is no fun in that.

I'm just saying that I respect and love supra's even though I am a cobra owner, I don't know why the same respect is shown for cobra's because they are very good platforms too. But the Cobra is affordable to someone like me. I'm not sticking up for the other guy by any means, just my 2 cents.
also i have seen a twin turbo 03 cobra that has twin 57mm on it and had around 850rwhp only ran a 10.35 @ 137 know why? no traction. it's not always the driver's fault it's either the track or the car man.
Thats what I'm saying, there is alot of factors that go into it. Here's an example... my car with me driving ran a 12.8 bone stock, after being heat soaked john venomous drove it to a 12.4. But a car with 500 rwhp should be able to run 10's, with the right mods. thats what I don't like about the supra crowd, they are dyno queens just looking for a number and sure it may have 1000 hp but they can't hook it, thats just plain dumb to me. I like supra's, but the tuner crowd gives it a bad name IMO.

with the key turned off, hold down the reset button for the odometer as you start the car. It will go into a diagnostic mode, and you can then cycle through a number of settings.. RPM of the engine, voltage, mph of the vehicle etc etc etc..to get out of it while the engine's still running, hold down the button again and it will exit..

Your point? any car can cruise at a high speed with ease. Just might take some longer to get to that speed.... its not an accomplishment to cruise at 90mph.

there is a function that you can do with the key to cycle through ECU inputs and outputs on Ford vehicles.....that are displayed on the odometer....so he had the MPH setting displayed on there...if you watch again...you can see that it does say 169 on the right side of the display..

It's actually pretty simple: You merely gauge the distance it's gone past 160 versus the distance between the numbers before 160. I.E. 1/2 inch might equal 10 mph... I did it in my 1986 GT which only went to 85 on the speedo. Gonna tell me it only went 85?? More like 140 was top and I did close to that, based on RPM's in 5th alone...

that's why SVT put a 155 mph governor on the 03 Cobra.. and why the 00 Cobra R has a big ass spoiler and air splitter to keep it on the road..
I've done in excess of 160 in my stock suspension/body 03 Cobra and while it wasn't as stable as my 98 C5 at those speeds, it wasn't bad..

supra=god of cars! 2jz owns. i love cobra's and i own a mustang myself but there are like no vids of mustangs beating supra's on here. you have to look really hard and there is like two vids but the supra's were basically stock.

Stock to stock a supra loses to a cobra. What do you expect when they are half a second faster to begin with? A smaller pulley is all it takes to dip into the elevens and that is with 20k for the car and a 50 dollar pulley. You can't even buy a supra for that much less run elevens. Supra's are overpriced and the few that are wicked fast are trailer queens. There is no fun in that.

I've seen a 700 rwhp supra barely run 11's. I've also seen a 516 rwhp cobra run 10.99. The difference is the driver not the horsepower or the mods. Grow up and respect both cars for what they are.

that would be a thing called poor traction or the track wasn't prepared properly.....i have seen twin turbo foxbody's that had over 950-rwhp run low 11's and high ten's because the tracked sucked and they had wheel spin up the ass. what's your point??? i have even seen a 99 civic si here in orlando with a 71mm turbo run a 10.17 at 149 and he only had it set to 13psi wich was good for a lil over 480whp

I'm just saying that I respect and love supra's even though I am a cobra owner, I don't know why the same respect is shown for cobra's because they are very good platforms too. But the Cobra is affordable to someone like me. I'm not sticking up for the other guy by any means, just my 2 cents.

Thats what I'm saying, there is alot of factors that go into it. Here's an example... my car with me driving ran a 12.8 bone stock, after being heat soaked john venomous drove it to a 12.4. But a car with 500 rwhp should be able to run 10's, with the right mods. thats what I don't like about the supra crowd, they are dyno queens just looking for a number and sure it may have 1000 hp but they can't hook it, thats just plain dumb to me. I like supra's, but the tuner crowd gives it a bad name IMO.

well my shop car hooks every time. thats why we always run 8's in it almost 8 flats. and like i said the fastest pass we ever made was a 7.71 @ 185. our other shop car has the stock 6-speed and rear end and it ways 3,468lbs. full interior with 8-point cage, radio and air. guess what it hooks and also runs 8's all day. i'm guessing you have never heard of or looked into titan motorports. they are known for the the worlds fastest street supra and for the worlds fastest 2jz drag car.

if you want an example on a fast 4 cylinder....type in cft civic. thats central florida turbo's shop car and it will hand any street mustang it's ass. i'm not bashing on mustangs. i own a 99 gt and love it but when i comes down to me and the cft civic si. i would be running mid 13's and it would be running very low tens....

A turbo taurus would be sick, but it's been done before. FWD is worthless for anything but a daily driver if you ask me, to each their own.
