  • If you're going to spam a website at least do it right. It's offline, smart ass.

Anyway; Nice video Matt, love your channel!

  • Would you recommend me to use mechanical drawing pencils? what would be the pros and cons of using them?

  • what type of pencils are you using? Like what's the name of them?

  • It's a Prismacolor Col-Erase pencil

  • excellent tutorials....what i like best is the little side info that you drop...such as "synthetic lines" for wine bottles and soft "organic lines" for surfaces like grass...very helpful...keep the videos coming!

  • what pencil do you use in this video?

  • It's a Prismacolor Col-Erase pencil

  • How do you feel about shading with the side of your pencil? In Andrew Loomis' books, he suggests the method in shading with pencil is on the side of the lead. He did give other techniques, but I would like to know how you feel about this. Thanks.

  • matthew, thanks a lot for your videos. What pencil do you use by the way?

  • You are certainly giving the viewer what we want, I can say that much. Your pod casts use every second making them extremely valuable. Watching your hand alone is good, with you talking to us and advising us, it's even better. I've been watching your pod casts for a while and this is the first time i noticed you asking for a "review", so there ya go!

    Keep it up!

  • great video, thak you so much for doing this free videos for those of us who can't pay for membership but still are really intrested on learning to draw, :)

  • Muscles!!! FINALLY!!! YAY!!!!

Will you focus on where the bones and muscles meet and where they appear on the surface planes?

    Thank you!

  • Thanks Matt... is it possible you give us more tips on what kind of things you give to you students at Visual Arts so that I can practice on my own? I'll try to draw different textures like you mentioned. Thanks

  • I teach them a lot of this stuff just more in depth. I get into longer tutorials on my site. I like to keep the youtube stuff short and to the point. But everything you see here is what I give them, just with more details.
