The lbum is quite satisfactory but I dont know why they had to release it. I dont even know why Queen had to collaborate with PR. Why don't they record solo albums or something else?

Also, as I said, I'm a huge Freddie fan. I don't think there has ever been or will ever be another performer as good as him. But, I am glad that Brian and Roger want to continue making and enjoying making music utilizing the sound which they, along with Freddie and John worked together to create. I don't think they need a new name. I think Queen + Paul Rogers is accurate. A new voice was added to an existing stylistic legacy. Not a replacement or upgrade, a continuation of something.

gster73, regarding the fact that Freddie would never sing another persons songs, he did. I am a huge Freddie fan and have multiple recordings of him doing other peoples music. His first recording was a cover of "I Can Hear Music" made famous by The Beach Boys, he has sung "Jailhouse Rock" live in concert, and in his solo career, arguably, his biggest hit was "The Great Pretender" which was a song by Buck Ram for The Platters.

I went to see them last night, and they were awesome, also saw them in 2005 and I think they are better than ever. Freddie would not want his fellow band members to curl up and die along with him. Good on Paul Rodgers for being brave enough to step into Freddie's shoes. LONG LIVE QUEEN.

This can be considered as a typical Queen's album of the late '80s. The Freddie's voice, the Brian's guitar and some good songs were the reasons to listen at those "melodic" albums.

These songs are very weak without the original voice. More rock-oriented songs and more energy by Paul (he knows how to scream in the mic, nice bluesy voice) would make this album worthy of some interest.

HORRIBLE sampler!

I was expecting a let down for the first time in coming from a Queen related product. This sampler sold me on the crappiness of certain tracks.

The album ROCKS! Listen to track number 4 or 5, the gospel-quiet song, and you think they've lost their mind. The song actually builds into a great song, but this sampler wouldn't clue you in.

This sampler is common, but the creator dropped the ball here. Cosmos Rocks is a gem and should be advertised as such.

To be fair to RobertAndGiovanni, who created this sampler, they were just using the already prepared 30-second samples provided by HMV, a music store chain. So they didn't really "drop the ball", they just worked with what they had.

I never REALLY enjoyed Innuendo - From The Miracle onwards, everything got too slick for me, except... have you heard Stealin`? Now thats good rocknroll Queen style! And they left it off the album, dammit.

i know stealin and I like it as well. Thats what I like most about Queen, they play so many different genres. But you cant say that Stealin is in Queen style, coz then where do you rank Bohemian Rhapsody? Stealin is like Crazy Little Thing, but remember that Queen played heavy tracks as well as slow melodic ballads. I find Innuendo album as one of their masterpieces. Different folks, different tastes.
