  • No Martial Art is better than any other.

What makes you better than your opponent is how much your practice

  • la peli es la de homback o algo asi no?

  • which film is this?

  • @2xuq773pps The movie is The Protector

  • I read in a book sometime ago that Capoiera is not about in-you-face fighting. It's about using your outsmarting your opponent in any number of ways. Everything goes, and if the other guy bites it, it was his fault not expecting it. Sorry if this is wrong or anything, book was ages ago.

  • Capoeira Abadá - Lampréia e Macaco. musica de fundo.

  • hehe zum zum zum capoeira mata um!

  • cant u just make the capaeira user off balanced by stopping him mid way through his break dancing stuff?

  • at 3: 19 breakdance's trick flare to windmill ^^

  • what is this music 1:10????Pls help me. :)

  • The movie this scene is from is a Thai move, Ong Bak 2, it overall has got some excellent fight scene's this one is particularly good, worth hiring from your local video shop if they've got it

  • @fergalpf its actually from the movie the protector which is an awesome action movie but the storyline is pretty dumb. ong bak and ong bak 2 are also damn good movies. tony jaa brings back the jackie chan style movies by doing his own stunts and adding in some sweet martial arts scenes

  • Good movie the protector

  • seu gay!!

  • im pretty sure i've seen this fight scene in a movie, anyone kno what movie this is?

  • He is best known for his appearance in Tom-Yum-Goong (known in North America as The Protector (taken from wikipedia)

  • WHER MA ELAPANT

  • tony jaa does do muay thai but he also knows kung fu n other stuff i forgot

  • hi i'm from brazil and i can answer this question

capoeira is a martial art that was created in brazil,

actually, capoeira isn't a fighting style like muay thai. The capoeira it's like a mix of dancing and aerial moves. But many people her in brazil uses capoeira to fight, wich is not so effective as muay thai and other fights, this fight it's a fake, none of this happens in a trully capoeira fight.

  • capoeira FTW!!!!!!

  • its not muay thai.

  • Yeah this is some kind of Kung Fu I think ..

  • tony jaa id muay thai

  • What exactly is capoera?

  • a mix of dancing art used as fighting.

  • Capoera also known as breakdance fighting, it is a fighting style that looks like breakdancing, very complex

  • Cool :D

  • Here's a fact for you. Breakdancing didn't appear in the United States till AFTER the first Mestre(master) brought it to New York City. Capoeira is a 500 year old martial art used by slaves in Brazil, breakdancing is a 30year old art form ;-)

  • lateef crowder kicks ass

  • hes just like eddie from tekken

  • Yeah Man.Hes playing Eddie in Tekken Movie.

  • Cenas do filme "O Protetor".

  • capoeira nao tem contato fisico ¬¬

  • wad's the title of tat song?

  • Capoeira ABADA, it is from the capoeira group. so just search with the phase song in it.

  • this was very boring (execuse me) this was a show."oow the big bad master kicks the good guys ass then the good boy beat him"capoera is not so effective.they defense equals with the zero.and the attacks?just with leg?come on!

  • The defense in a tradational Capoeira game is called a Esquivar which means dodge, rarely do you see blocking but there is blocking. There are grappling techniques as well but none are really seen in this movie. Oh and with the just legs, thats a lie. Capoeira does use legs as a primary attack but that isnt the only attacks, there are hand attacks as well but you would rarely see it in youtube videos for reasons that hand attacks would open a deadlier game...

  • Eddy..Gordo

    He is awesome

  • capoera From Brazil

    This is Brazilian Martial Art

  • Capoera bem melhor q muithai eu faço capoera e so do brasil!!!!!!!!

  • the capoeira guy looks like ronaldinho...with smaller teeth

  • whos the name of that movie, can some on tell me please?

  • the protector

  • Just to prevent confusion: There is also a Jackie Chan film called "The Protector". This one is from Thailand by Tony Jaa in 2005.

  • eddy gordo....

  • how intresstin Capoera ,i'm Thai and i'm now lerning Caoera at school.

  • the movie has 0 plot but the fight sequences were incredible.

  • song* lol its late -.-

  • anyone know the dong he put in while they were fighting?

  • capoeira isn´t a marcial art....

    at least now a days...

there is no way to fight using it´s tecniques against any one that can fight, may be beautiful to watch, but useless in a real combat situation, it has been modified from it´s original purpuse, and that is, african slaves defend their selves against white folks or each other... but, still, everything depends on who practices, or how hard is the practice!

  • i see the point you are trying to make :P but i think you are wrong, it is true most people who practice capoeira nowadays mostly use it for more purposes than just fighting, but true capoeira is just as much a martial arts as any other style and very effective :P

  • I don't remember this music being in the movie

  • YES, BUT THIS FIT PERFECTLY!

  • yea your right

  • capoera is an awesome martial art!

  • Lol, man, the fact you are defending such a weak martial art shows just how little you know about true warrior arts. Look up the Bujinkan and learn something. Fool.

  • what is the name of that movie?

  • The Protector

  • the fight wouldve been over at 2:05

  • Lmao. Capoeira is such a waste of energy. Lol. Worst martial art ever!

  • dude u know a shit about capoeira, so stop talking talking about things u dont understand

Lol i love this wannabe martial artist on youtube. so hillarious.

  • this is not muay thay and

other ting, the man of CAPOEIRA is MUCH BETTER !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Toni Jaa does Muay Thai... So yes it is Muay thai. He crossed trained but yes it is muay thai.

  • muay boran ppl

  • Lol w/e

  • i don't think that was eddie...but ronaldinho!!!!hahahahah!

  • thats what i thought lol

  • yeahhhh!!!! capoera is a shit! (again)

  • hey idiot!get the fuck out of here!

  • eddie gordo

  • i swear this guy is eddie lol

  • look! its eddy gordo... hehe

  • he did the motion capture for him i think actually

  • this is da shit

  • Potector?warriro king??? try honour of the dragon.

  • ehm wtf??? my mom owns a video club and this movie didn't come with the title "The Protector" but with the title "Warrior King"... whatever great movie though :D

  • this is the best fight sequence ive to date

whats the name of this movie

  • tom yum gong

  • the protector

  • Tony Jaa, is a muay thai fighter who put his own style into the fighting as well. and calunio, he aint jap, hes thai.

  • he's not a muay thai fighter... muay thai is the present style of fighting made from "muay boran"

  • God you're off, he's NOT an muay thai-fighter, his style is muay boran, NOT muay thai.

  • One thing is for certain: If he wanted to, Tony Jaa could kill us all. One by one.

  • Muay Thai won here, but who's the better dancer?

  • While he is the Muay Thai fighter, IRL and in Ong-bak this movie is not all muay thai but a form of it that him and his master developed called muaykodchasarn translated to Elephant Boxing, and was made specifically for the film. He even said this in interviews

  • Name the movie is: The Protector ( Tony Jaa ), second movie is Ong Bak ( Tony Jaa too ). Tony Jaa have two movies. Tony Jaa is the best Muay Thai fighter in the world on movies.

Tony Jaa is the "Muay Thai father"

  • Muay Thai does not perform acrobatic kicks nor somersault. Tony Jaa is also a wushu pratitioner.

  • Tom Yum Goong.

  • wat movie is that???? anyone give me the title of this movie...plsss

  • To corect u.He is not Japanese. He come from Thailand.I cant believe u cant even reconise muay thai.

  • What movie is that?

I can't believe the jap guy won at the end. That was so fake. He was being completely pwnd. I couldn't even tell what style he was fighting.

  • tony jaa was the main role of the film they scripted for him to win anyway

  • muay thai el mejor arte marcialllllllllllllllll

  • you dont really see any good capoeira fighters in movies

i think it ooks pretty good

they should make more like it

  • the capoera guy starred in the first Mortal Kombat movie. He was the first fighter Liu Kang faced. Real talented guy

  • ronaldinho? 0.0 LOL

  • why has tony jaa never been on ninja warrior!!!

  • capoera is the best !!

  • muy buen combate, si soy el unico que habla español, che!

  • pfft of course he wins....he was wearing ALLSTARS!!!

  • The first part of this movie is called "Ong Bak" or "onk Bak" I aint really know right now. And this scene is taken from the second movie but the titel of this movie i don*t know.

  • its called tom yam goong......

  • right. Thanks :D

  • welcome :D

  • Its called "The Protector."

  • Stupid MF, "Ong Bak" is a completly different movie you ass. Tony even plays different characters and the movies are set in two different countries. Don't pretend like you know stuff, get facts first.

  • Calm down boy. It's the same actor.

  • Oh, pardon me, great Arasethius, every movie that has the same actor has another is automaticly a sequel to whatever movie the actor made first, thanks for correcting me and my stupid mind, so, tell me, how come "Judge dread" isn't called "Rocky -"?

  • wooooooooo this is a very good video, what movie is?

  • wow MY BUTTERFLY TWIST look just like his at 2:56

  • it is CAPOEIRA not CAPOERA

  • wtf

  • Tony Jaa is a good Action actor, but what he shows off in his movies isn't real Muay Thai, or at least, it's about half Muay Thai and then the rest is kung fu/acrobatics stuff. You watch a real Muay Thai fight, they use short, simple strikes, elbows, knees, punchs, etc, none of that fancy fly kick shit.

  • Lateef Crowder is an awesome fighter! I'm glad to see that he is actually using a more authentic style of Capoera than the modern style.

  • This is a good video...It shows some good capoeira, but Jaa is using bits and pieces of other martial arts, if I'm not mistaken.

Also...the song in the background kinda ruins the mood...though is quite appropriate to what style of fighting the guy is using :P

p.s. Check out the chuck taylors Jaa is rocking

  • Tony Jaa Is using the old style of Muay Thai,(Siam yoot)In this Awesome movie "Tom yum kung" But yes, it has similarities with South shaolin Kung Fu. In my opinion.

  • mola el video

  • I need to buy this movie now!

  • This fight shows very authentic capoera. But the muay thai by jaa has a bit of another martial art because muay thai is mostly elbows and knees, but rarely kicks and punches...

  • jaa dose so muay thai but he also dose alot of other martial arts like muay boran, so dont say it aint muay thai

  • AFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

  • zuhahahaha

  • Damn.....The Capoera Guy is Hotter then that fire over there.....waz is name, he's fit fit fit!

  • this isnt muay thai...

believe me i train muay thai 4 times a week

ans this doesnt even look at it

  • I agree with you.... muay thai focuses on using knees and elbows to hit the opponent. tony jaa isn't really muay thai.

  • capoera sux :D

  • tony jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

    best fighter in the world

  • soooooooo fuckin' awesome!!!!

  • seriously that fight OWNED !!.....crappy american films these days dont have fight sequences like that, and the action and suspence in that figth alone makes me wanna see tht film.....DAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMN !!!!

  • "revenge of the warrior" ;)

  • Copoera is soo much like breakdance, accept its a martial art, not a dance. And just same as breakdance its freakin amazing

  • is a good video

  • In his movies, I like that the stunt effects don't look faked.

  • true!!! if this was a real fight crowder woulda kicked jaa's a**

  • capoera owms mauy tai buts its a movie about muay tai so they have to win

  • Diz Shit Sooo Cool

  • SICK CAPOEIRA FIGHTING. And that Muay Thai was sick too, never seen that shit before.

  • It's Eddie Gordo!

  • LOL!

  • The movie is umg buk i think thats how u spell it lmao and its prt 2 i think its a mean movie!!!!

  • ong bak ? ^^

  • its a bit dark i can't se something

  • Tony Jaa rules. new incoming hollywood talent... The new Jacky Chang... But much bether

  • Its Jacking Chan

  • its jackie chan you morons.

  • lol, you must feel like an idiot now..

  • fuk fuk fuk it aint jackie chan u dik

  • capoeira é melhor sempre

  • cool!!

  • what movie is that? is amazing lol

  • the protector

  • It's from Tom Yum Goong in thaiwaneese but in english it's called the honor of the dragon if i'm right

  • the english version is the protector

  • Nice thx :) now i can find it.... i've only rented the french version hence... "L'Honneur du dragon" which i believe is also a direct translation of the thai title.

  • Lateef Crowder the capoeira dude was awesome his kicks and gymnastics was amazing

  • Tony Jaa blends his style into Freestyle. Just like Jackie Chan. Jackie has no style, he improvises everything at the moment which make it very difficult to know what the next move is gonna be. Some martial artist are not bound to only 1 style, but to be able to expertise and use many useful techniques and utilize different fighting styles. Freestyle = Kung Fu = "Great knowledge".

  • para nawai, para nawai

  • that capoera guy was playin with the other dude, lol

  • amazing

  • Whaddaya talking about steel? Tony Jaa is a Muay thai dude, saying he isnt is just plain stupid.

  • hell no man that guy wasnt a muay thai player his stances were so diferent than a muay thai player and his kicks as well!!

  • i seen this movie.I actually have it on DVD.Its friggen good, seriously. For those of you who havent watched it,watch it now.And i mean it.

  • i cant use capoera to arma ppl

  • süper manyak

  • wow this sucks dick

  • capoera does not rely on up front punches and kicks rather confusion, agility and out maundering your opponent. of course in ong bak they have to make muay thai the best fighting style, look @ 3:23 he lets his guard down on purpose.

  • part of the movie i liked

  • what's this movies name?

  • The Protector
