  • how did you make it? is there a lapse feature on the camera?

  • Huge!!!

  • would you know any download sites to down load the photolapse software??? i tryed to download it but it didnt work.

  • Nice work - thanks for the show! =)

  • the sun I meant

  • At 1:19 the son rose, and many stars still visible, that I never seen before, how is it possible?

  • was this all photos or video?????? if anyone else see's my post please let me know thanks

  • @jetpro88 This is video made from a sequence of still images. There is a cool freeware utility called "photolapse" (and others) that does this with JPG and other images. Cheers! =)

  • just wonderful...

  • The clouds that moved together looks like ufos xD

  • Oh, if I only had waited and gotten the Canon T3i!. Swival monitor.

  • @n8imo but thats like an extra £200 and all you get is a swivel monitor...for that you could attach a mirror and buy another lens!

  • @n8imo

IS that the Celestron NexStar 8SE? Dude you must be loaded!!

  • @n8imo no way am i wasting any more tears or money on dslr's. Going to be off the market in a couple of years.

  • The music was made by me, the author of the video. The lens used in the videos was just the stock EF-S 18-55mm that comes with the camera. I use the Canon T2i mostly without any lens, since it is often connected at the prime focus of a telescope.

  • anyone know the song?

  • This is fucking cool and music helps to get better the sensation!

  • That was amazing!

  • what lens did you use?

  • I don't see that the author answered many of the questions posted here. There is no real desire to share I guess or he doesn't visit here anymore. I suppose he used a f/1. 50 mm or a good f/x.x 10-20mm Sigma lens to capture so much details by night. I have seen lapses of 1 sec so this must have taken lots of pics. Also, Quicktime Pro does the stitching perfectly. Look around other places. You don't need Adobe Premiere or expensive software.

  • @noproblema To add to what you said their is a free program for Mac OS X called Time Lapse Assembler. It does a decent job.

  • @noproblema thank you, you've been more helpful than the author

  • You can literally see the Earth spinning through space on the second clip, so cool.

  • well done!!!

  • please tell me your setting because when i try to do it, it's way to dark for seeing the stars???

and which tool did you use for the timelaps?

  • i love this sort of time lapes how do you stop the lens from foging up ?

  • Shot with the 18-55mm? or a 18-135mm?

  • mmm... EOS utility can work as an intervalometer. I just need a damn tripod to start using my camera for this!!

  • great time lapse vid! which movie makers have u used & which one do u recommend, thanx in advance!

  • love everything about this video!!! beautiful!

  • you can get a simple but very cool remote infrared intervalometer for this camera and all top cameras: Tempus ( tempus.bymac.org )

  • amazing, very good

  • I didn't know you can get the stars with the sun out! I'm going to have to try that! Also, there is an intervolometer/timer cheaper on Amazon and it has a backlit lcd and can take 399 exposures! The model is RS-60E3. More features, cheaper, and works with my T2i. Cheers!

  • Great job! This is really relaxing to watch before going to sleep. Nice composition. The desert in the southwest must be beautiful at night! Wish Los Angeles was like this

  • Wow! Looks awazing

  • i would love to know your lens and settings for 16 to about 30 thumps up if you wana know too!

  • what kind of lens did you use? I have the T2i also

  • amazing

what objective, object glass used in this video???

  • You don't really need to buy an intervalometer, you can connect your camera to a laptop and use the supplied canon software as a timer. works great

  • Amazing man!! What lens did you use please? ;)

  • Great video - I have the same camera and same intervolometer from DX - if my time lapse turns out half as good as your video I will be happy

  • god i love it, wanna make music to it xD

  • awesome job, love the cameo appearance where it looks like you float in...

  • very cool video.. i am shopping for a intervolometer. does it refocus for every shot too?

  • Wonderful!

  • Nice! :D What lens did you use?

  • I am so confused, how did you accomplish this? Sped up video or multiple shots collaborated together?

  • @cmcthadon its with a timed remote control you can get off of ebay called a intervolometer they run from $20-about 100 depending on your camera.. its like a automatic shutter release.. set the timer to take photo every 1,2,3,4,5,10,20 etc seconds and then when you get all the images you want.. u then put the photos into a movie maker and hit play... cause the clips are small photos in a sense and depending on your settings you make some pretty kick arse movies like this one..

  • Fav worthy! Great time lapse man!

  • very nice.

  • 1:22 WOW nice view of the milky way! great video

  • use ur calculator as an interval timer

  • Awesome! Have the same camera!!!

  • awesome!

  • Hey looking good, I tried a time lapse of the night sky. But mine doesnt look as good, what lens do you use and what aperture? Thanks dude Thumbs up!

  • Very nice!

  • @TheeWelcomeMATT 8 seconds sorry. not 10

  • @TheeWelcomeMATT I have never used it, and my camera only goes up to 10 seconds I am going to get a new one.

  • @TheeWelcomeMATT No some cameras have a timelapse feature or a device that takes a photo automaticly every however seconds.

  • ive been some what skeptical if i should have a time lapse of the sun rise until it becomes bright enough (noonish) because im afraid that it might damage the sensor.

  • When you take a long exposure with the eos 550D, let's say 30s for example how long does it take until the exposure ends and you can take a new picture?

My current camera takes 30s exposure an other 30+5s to process the picture. Same for 10s exposure an other 10+5 to process.

  • @brutolf that sounds about right with most cameras. the longer your exposure the longer it takes to process. i thought it would be faster than that though o.O

  • @Roaningdotcom I have sold that one and bought an eos 550D, but I think my old camera(Casio EX-F1) did take a secound picture of equal length with the shutter closed and eliminated dead pixel spots. Don't know if you could turn that off but to late to bother now.

  • @brutolf so the eos 550d processes a lot faster after a long shutter speed? it'd be a definite plus if that's the case.

  • @Roaningdotcom Yeah, the 550d takes only a second or two until it's ready to fire again.

  • Nice I wish I could see the sky like that in Chicago.

  • Can you tell, about how many frames did you shot with the camera?

In my opinion, is no need to use and wear out a new DSLR camera on a job that can be made by a cheaper bridge camera.

In this way , you reach 100.000 shots in a few movies made.

  • what kind of lens?

  • just wait for the final Magic lantern Firmware. It will have Interval Timer inside the Firmware like chdk. So there is no more need for an interval meter.

    BTW. Good video Dude.

  • memory card?

  • Wow, astonishing, makes me want to go to arizona man seeing the globe move like that....question, is there a difference in quality between the canon rebel 2ti and the canon 550D, because im seeing a cheaper price listed on the 550d...please anyone

  • Good video!!!

  • iLuv!...check out frames 2:00 to 2:03...who see what happen?

  • @Shacworks those I belive are the trails left by some aeroplanes

  • @tfmercedez ..iknow what it is..jus looking at the flight path and the planes sudden slows down...kool looking!

  • He came up with the planes and watched them go

  • what editor did you use in this?

  • how do u do this? i have a t2i also

  • My good sir, what a great video! I have recently purchased this camera, and I am starting to venture into this type of photography. However, I would appreciate it if you answered some questions I have! I would just like to know what type of battery you used when filming this - is it the standard LP-E8 that comes with the camera or an external battery pack? One more question, if you would - what do you set your white balance to when filming this to achieve that bluish type of look? Thx again!

  • Very cool! Well done.

  • this was ace.

  • sick, just increase the speed by like 50 more percent and itl look a lot better, wont be so skippy.

  • increase fps.

  • Song name plz :)

  • holy $#!t

  • realy awesome ! 550d rules :)

  • Well done - love the music too

  • what type of lense sir?

  • The video was simply astonishing. Excellent quality, and abosolutely loves the shooting stars.

  • dealextreme never fails to impress me. I like the stop motion that you did in the middle. great time-lapses!!

  • hey what program did u use to speed up time?

  • Very cool. I just got a JVC HD camcorder with time lapse capabilities. Haven't tried a night sky yet, but I hope I can get stars like that.

I like the effect on the person in there, too. Nice job.

  • So out of curiosity, after you record your pictures, how exactly would you stitch it together? Either in Final Cut Pro Or Adobe Premiere, or however you do it.

  • Nice work man!!!

  • Very nice work - liked it a lot

  • that was awesome!! you look like gumby. lol

  • Its amazing!

  • Hi! first of all hands off great video! such clear skies! anyway just wondering if you used the 18-55mm kit lens or did you use something different? also doesn't the t2i/550d have an interval shooting option to allow you to make stop motion videos? thanks

  • hahahahaha...thanks for adding a sense of humor lol

  • That is really cool! How do you do Time lapse on the canon? I really want to do this!

  • looks sick. was this the kit lens?

  • what aperture you set with? what lens you use either,

im trying to shot milky way but fail, maybe the sky is much pollution here :(

  • I thoughts the max for shots were like 12 minutes? or wasnt this done in 720p/1080p?

  • @petterhny I understand. It's no video:P lol.

  • Cool video. I have the T2i as well and would like to get an intervalometer. I can't seem to find the specific one. Which did you get (model #?), and which connector does it take? Thanks and 73.

  • @wx5rp you can do this with the T2i if you go into the eos utility on your computer and connect the camera via usb the go into remote shoot and there is a stopwatch button, sometimes it doesnt light up so you have to change shooting modes. you can set a delay, number of shots, interval and the camera settings exposure, iso and other settings also you if you but the camera into bulb mode then you can set the exposure for different times aswell

  • I got my intervolometer from Dealextreme It works very well and simple. It sets exposure duration, time between frames, delay between photos, and number of exposures 01-99. When set to zero, it just keeps going until the camera's battery runs out.

  • @n8imo could you give a link or a name of the product? I cant find it.

  • @n8imo

Wow, deal extreme? Thats amazing, i never thought to look there, I've bought from there before, free shipping. My sister's husband bought a 25 cent magnet (free shipping from china) :) hehe I will buy one from there too then! Very cool video, I am buying my 550D any day now. I just can't wait any more...

  • @n8imo Can you post a link to the deal extreme page to buy one? I don't see it there... Thanks

  • @n8imo N8imo could you post the product from DealExtreme. Is it this one dealextreme. com/details.dx sku.13891

  • wow how is that done? I want to soon get the T2i.. What would I need a intervolomenter? How exactly does the work? I would really like to know.. Thanks!

  • I've ordered the same intervolometer on ebay, how do you like it? Noticed any problems or drawbacks?

  • Nice video. Can't wait to get my camera this week.

  • NIce :]
