Love this Background! Thinking of one myself! not too sure though, maybe a little darker would be nicer! :) and I would like to see a background with more overhangs and definitely darker areas to give a more deeper feel to the aquarium! Looks really good at the moment though :D

internal is glued into place...it comes as part of the tank.

will I need to make the background smaller so that it stops short of the filter in that case !!

@mucky1957 The internals are stuck in place with a safe silicone. My tank had 1 and I've removed 3 others from tanks I've owned. The tank in the video is a RIO 240 that comes with an internal - To remove it use a long thin knife

backgrounds look great....but one question though. My tank has a large internal filter unit in the back right corner. Measures about 16cm square...how does the background 'hide' it.!!!!

@mucky1957 Easy solution remove the internal thats taking up space and use an external filter. Cheers :)

Hi, Ordered my background, it took less than 2 weeks to arrive (which was nice!) But..... When it arrived it was completely to wrong colour! I checked their website and compared the 3D rock Background and the NEW 3D Dark Rock Background (which is what i ordered) and it doesn't match the colour of either. The Background still looks pretty good, just not what I ordered and doesn't quite match the colour of the slate i have in my Tank. I will knock up a quick video soon to show the difference.

Hi, been thinking about getting this background but nervous about waste build up behind. In this vid you show the intake behind the wall and the outlet through the mesh. Question is how is waste taken from the tank water via  the inlet if its behind the wall ? do you need to cut a hole in the background to allow the water, and waste to pass through, or are you preventing waste getting behind altogether and therefore not filtered. I have heard of power heads placed behind to prevent build up.

@Richandtasha Hi Rich, I just tilt the Background forward and syphon behind, takes me 5 mins a week.

@bolly12345 sounds good to me, but how does waste get filtered from water if inlet is hidden behind background. Assume it wont pass through netting so remains in tank.

@Richandtasha You have the option to either have the inlets behind the background or in front.

Both of my external filter inlets are in front covering the mesh either end. The mesh is there to prevent the fish going behind the background.

I like the background, it would be an excellent addition to any tank, but it would be nice if you could show it in the tank from the end of the tank sothat we can see how far it comes out from the back of the tank. Also, Iv'e been to your site and see that the prices are extremely inexpensive, less than 100 pounds.

I've never liked 3D backgrounds because they take up tank space that could have been used for fish to swim. Same with built-in overflow boxes.

That is a very nice looking background and I like that fla feature that blocks the fish and debri. I live in the states and if I owned cicklids I would definitely have to own one of those. Amazing aquarium!

i think its a really good background and it makes your colorful fish stand out but i think that you would have to be careful with what fish you stock with this background because darker colored fish are going to be a pain looking at with this dark background camouflaging them... But out of 10 i would say an 8 1/2. maybe a 9

Best news in ages when I brought my tank second hand the guy said it was 450 litres but I always thought it was bigger i put the length, height and width in to a water volume calculated and it turns out it is 250 us gallons I almost fainted

I like the background better than the old. My onlu suggestion for you would be to get rid of the sharp edge rocks and stock it with some nice sized rounded type rocks. Great tank and great vid!

The backgrounds design is sharp looking rocks. Adding cobble style rocks will look really out of place IMO. but if your thinking the fish might get hurt on the rock don't worry as I took a hammer to the edges

I think it really makes the colour of the fish stand out and looks very natural, I like the idea of inter-changable backgrounds which are quick and easy. And that space where the fish are hiding in under that over hang looks pretty cool.
