theparoradyhunters-alot of the wreslters who came to tna from wwe, came at their own will, because they didn't like the way they were being treated. Listen to some of their interviews about why they left wwe. TNA cares about their employees, and Sting said himself he would never work for wwe,and he was once apart of a growing company(WCW) and he would be apart of another growing company(TNA)
WCW took the time to make sure it was safe to have DDP brought up to the top of the arena by his BELT yet WWF cant keep a good enough to stop Owen falling to his death
Damn Ted Turner for ruining the greatest wrestling company EVER made..I been watching Sting WCW moments every since last nite...tho TNA has much love and respect for Sting, I hate the short reigns they give him
I feel so bad for nash and hall. Look how big these arenas are. With TNA its like 400 people otherwise here it's like 17,000. I wish good ol' wcw would come back.
@Russman1478 Nash could have stayed at WWE? I know it was bad blood between them but Triple H and Shawn Micheals was still there. Besides he's old now not like he'll get big shots anymore! He won't even get one at TNA! And they have to balance legends and new talent! As for Hall as great as he WAS, he is so over weight and old now
What was that about? Scott Hall punched DPP across the back, but then walked away and allowed Page to pile-drive Savage. His buddy's getting killed and he's off talking to Kevin Nash.
"Well, I hit him. You saw that. There just wasn't anything I could do to try and save him."
its funny to see how easy sting and the wcw can pull off the harness stunt. just makes vince and the wwf look like a bunch of retards, not to mention the fact that the method they used for owen was beyond improper...
yea i agree with bobolob maybe a new Monday night war but tna would have to get impact on Monday night like wcw did but if that was to happen i got to say i would like wwe to win cause face it there better wee got more fans the crowd is always bigger there pyro is like fire works and tna's is like fire crackers it just seems 2 me wee got what it takes inless tna steps it up and gets a bigger crowed better pyro then i mite have a chance other then that don't think so
yeah i agree. let tna get more air time then they'd win. i ain't even know about tna until later on. and that was after i stopped watching wwe. i personally think tna is better and if they had more monday nighters or so on, i think they'd outbeat wwe
@TheSteelersrock1010..........WWE have better production value thats all......and why would you want a winner. Wrestling has been going downhill since Vince monopoly killed wrestling leaving us all with one choice one vision.
I don't understand how the WWF screwed this stunt up when WCW did the bungee cord drop successfully with Sting. They should have just called WCW's stunt guy so they did Owen right!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@bobolob......... don't be dumb it was Stings stunt people who did Owen harts Stuff....that night. you should at least have some knowledge without commenting on something you know nothing about.
They were at the kansas arrena that day and production called Russo, and said Stings people are here do you want to do anything with them? and he decided to Parody sting entrance with blue/owen blazer.
Say what smudge? The stunt rigging for what Owen Hart had was completely different than anything WCW did with Sting. Owen fell out of the safety harness rigging. Sting was never in the same situation.
Weird, I never knew that. They had an entirely different bungee ringing on Sting than they did on Owen. Like I said, Owen harnessed in improperly and fell from that. Sting's was basically foolproof. But Sting stopped doing it either way after Owen died.
@smudgeVIW Actually, it was a planned stunt written way beforehand and wasn't some sporadic moment as you play it off. It went with his superhero gimmick as he was "flying" to the ring.
@smudgeVIW I'm saying sorry in advance for the dickhead I am about to become....Are you high? The same folks who rigged Sting up were The.....Same.....As......Owen? Dude, if anything, YOU need to keep in mind to not try and talk about something you have very, very poor knowledge of! It's evident you have very poor knowledge here so go back and read up on your information boy!
yes business it's gonna pick up not to spoiled anything because i like to be suprised but i even heard about sid vicious he looks good to a comeback to wrestling
@TennesseePride20 wwe could revamp the old Bret Hart/ Stone Cold angle with Cena and CM Punk, Cena could become a super heel, CM punk could achieve a Stone Cold like status. Then try to get people like Sheamus, Daniel Bryan, the miz, and sin cara some decent match time.
@sqweaty sounds great. Cena is going to be face for a while because of his character and persona with the kids. I'm actually fine with it because of the influence he has on them. Not a lot of role models out there i would want my kids looking up to (i don't have kids by the way) but Cena is one of the few i would like them to look up to. He does a lot of great things for Make-A-Wish and its great to see the smile on the kids. Personally I wish he was heel, but for the kids i'm fine with it.
Exactley when I saw RaVen's Flock mennn that was a tough gang to me. I remember that they came with a tough music to with the reigns of Saturn. Too bad they looked weak against Bill Goldberg. At that time I wanted to see that they beatin up Goldberg.
Wow. Sting did a Batman entrance, and took DDP outta there like a real G. Dangerous stunt, but theatricality appeals the most to the masses. That was an epic scene.
two things 1. why would you send nash's slow ass out there first to try and jump sting, and 2nd, whats the odds that dalals kept his eyes closed the whole time he was going up that cable hanging like that?
This was the best series of run-ins I've ever seen in wrestling, plus it wasn't just NWO vs WCW. Harlem Heat got jumped by the Steiners, Benoit was attacked by Kevin Sullivan, etc. They literally emptied out the locker room for this one.
whats your all time favorite theme song?leave a comment on our video and let us know thx...Feedback on our other videos as well would be just marvelous
Damn, that was freakin' awesome. I never saw this clip until now. I've always seen clips of Sting falling from the rafters. Nobody will be able to replicate that ever.
The craziest thing sting did was repelling from the ceiling. Which is a basically a freefall with only the rigging to slow you down. Other times he was lowered to the ring via a harness and tieoff.
wow so many things could have gone wrong there... sting could have forgotten what he was hooking up when the NWO people started attacking him
good job though and yes DDP was brave, can't believe they put their lives in danger like that for entertainment, guess it was considered safe back then
nothing is REALLY safe during any time period...i mean you do know about the owen hart situation years prior to this RIP...but idk sting prb made sure things worked before he did this and owen mightve rushed? unless there was a malfunction which is bound to occur...anyway sting does have nerves of steel to do this during the crow vs nwo angle
This was before the Owen incident. DDP had rigging on under the trench coat. How many times did DDP ever come to the ring in a trench coat besides this time?

what a worthless pig Scott Norton was huu? why was he even there? Im almost positve that the only thing he ever did as a nWo member was get the stomped on whenever somebody started whoopin ass on the nWo, he would get hit and roll out of the ring EVERY TIME!

these were the good old days of wrestling. not just in WCW but in the WWE (then WWF). The nitro era vs the attitude era. this was a true war for ratings.
now we r reduced to watching an overrated Fake Italian talk rubbish to the crowd along with an overrated WWE champ (cena) and a sex-symbol champ (edge) along with a load of bad storylines.
W.C.W was the best i wish it stayed W.W.E sucks everything b4 the 2000's was great wrestlin now the only good wrestlin out thr is those house shows that beginnin wrestlers do
bcuz u dont get seats like a mile away and u get a lot of autographs

WWE had Austin & The Rock.
WCW had Sting & Goldberg.
Those were the times.

WCW would've had plenty of others as well. They just never realized to push them up...

Bobby was the best color commentator period. He was always fearing for his life, it was always chaos.

sicksolidgino 3 years ago 9
any wwe fans watching this? now this is real wrestling!
coreydec 3 years ago 12
these were the good old days of wrestling. not just in WCW but in the WWE (then WWF). The nitro era vs the attitude era. this was a true war for ratings.
now we r reduced to watching an overrated Fake Italian talk rubbish to the crowd along with an overrated WWE champ (cena) and a sex-symbol champ (edge) along with a load of bad storylines.
