  • This is the reason a lot of people dont like country. Then they happen to hear Webb Pierce or Carl Smith and then they wonder why all this crap is even called country.

  • WOOOW! honestly this is scary great!

  • 9 people don't know music and they stand in line to go down on justin bieber lol

  • It must have been such an honor for Travis to perform with Waylon, one of his idols. I really miss the old cable network TNN (The Nashville Network). It was a great showcase for country artists. I have seen Travis in concert 5 times and he still mentions how much he admired Waylon. He often performs a Waylon cover tune in his shows. He also performs a Skynyrd tune or two. Travis is such a class act, and one of a kind. See him live if you can, you won't regret it.

  • @jdmeyerscountry i agree 100% his style wasn't flashy like about 90 of guitar players he had a great tone and you could pick him out in a room full of these so called pickers i've been saying it for years the guy was and still is the standard of what an outlaw should be case closed.

  • 2 outlaw hoss;s right there! legends of music!

  • seven people need kicked in the face!!!!

  • @Rrisjan01 Or PUNCHED in THE THROAT! ; )

  • @def717 hahaha yeah good one!!!! lol

  • @Rrisjan01 eight now

  • @Rrisjan01 - I'll hold 'em...

  • I never understood why Jigger Bridges was playing guitar for Waylon during this time period. I love his bass playing but his guitar playing was weak...even compared to Travis Tritt....who in the last filmed concert of Waylon does almost a note for note re-enactment....does a decent solo here...but Waylon himself was an amazing guitar player. There's just nobody like him. A lot of us copy him but he's the originator of a style unlike any other player.

  • Sounds like they've re - written "Good Hearted Woman" - you could sing it to that backing - and the lead guitar is very similar.

  • Love this video!!!!!! r.gentry

  • Waylon HAS to be the BEST country singer in the entire history of country music. Whoop whoop!! GOOOOO HOSS!!!!

  • Outstanding. Who's the lead guitar man?

  • hell yeah

  • Has Travis Tritt ever won CMA Entertainer of the Year? If not, he sure should have.

Singer, songwriter, picker, and energetic entertainer.

Check out his picking on the "Travis Tritt Warmin' Up Part 1" video. He's awesome.

  • Love it.

When I say I like country music, this is what I'm talking about.

  • Love this , didn't realize Travis Tritt was so much like Waylon.

  • Simply blows me away this clip. Now THAT'S COUNTRY!!

  • WOW I feel like a boob. Man that almost put tears in my eyes.

  • There is a reason why Travis is on the stage next to Waylon. Waylon said in his book that he was "about my favorite".

  • sorry for swearing but this is ABSOLUTLY FUCKIN BRILLIANT

  • I don't mind your fuckin' swearing! HA!

  • @ant67hony Watch yer fuckin' language. hahah naw I'm just funnin' ya, but yeah, this video kicks ass!

  • Brilliant !!!!!!

  • Travis's Solo wasn't too shappy either!

    Thanks, Tony

  • " aeroshine Waylon, I guess as an elder, you are obligated to go with the respectable look. Although I don't like the trimmed head of hair on you, the suit looks good & the music is good which is all that matters!

Unconditional love always, Whoop Whoop!!!! RIP 3 months ago "

Yeah, I liked him better "shaggy looking"

Wow! look how young Travis was in this, this must be an older clip.

Wow was that piano solo HOT!!

    Thanks, Tony

  • waylon, willie, merle ,david allen ,john cash, there arent a whole lot of outlaw music left but got to give it to travis tritt, jamey johnson too, at least they are real not like this new shit thats coming along

  • Damn I miss waylon. Country music is and has gone to hell these days because they aren't real. Waylon was able to do it his way, stick to his guns,...and made it known that if people didn't like it they could kiss his ass. Even with that stance he was one of the classiest country-western singers ever. Who's gonna fill their shoes indeed. R.I.P. waylon.

  • Waylon, I guess as an elder, you are obligated to go with the respectable look. Although I don't like the trimmed head of hair on you, the suit looks good & the music is good which is all that matters!

Unconditional love always, Whoop Whoop!!!! RIP

  • Waylon was one of a kind, us women like how he looked no matter what,

  • The good ol' days. I really miss 'em. We GOT to get back to country music being like that. I'm doin' all I can, but God it's a fight.

    -JD

  • good job def awesome performance by 2 awesome performers

  • REAL DEAL country music from two guys who blow away any clown climbing the charts in today's pathetic country scene.

    NEW COUNTRY NEVER.....WAYLON FOREVER!

  • @BloozeDaddy76 AMEN BROTHER!!

  • Travis's wearing a hat!!!!!!!!

    rare moment

  • Where is Travis Tritt now? Is he still touring?

  • wish I knew, I like him too;

  • travis and waylon wow ... i love them both :)

  • tritt looks like a kid on christmas! what an honor for him.

  • I heard Waylon say, once, that what he couldn't understand about the new "Country" singers was that they all sounded exactly the same - sang the same kind of music, same phrasing, same voices, nothing distinctive. He had that damned straight. He made mistakes, but he ended up a good man, and I miss him.

  • This is so great, what a fantastic dance number it is. All the solos by the different players and those two pianos are out of sight and Travis and Waylon jamming on the guitars at the end. WOW!! thanks for the upload.

  • I've probably said this before, more than once, but it bears repeating again. All Waylon's work gives full space and range to the instrumentalists - even his. Dozens of his vids feature extended solo work by Mooney, Albright, an harmonicist I don't know the name of, and here we have a lead picker I also cannot identify.. WJ's total body of work (to me) surpasses that of willie, Merle, Buck, Johnny or anyone else. I kinda like Dwight, but he aint caught up yet.

  • I really like this video; Always Liked Waylon and Travis!

  • I like travis's hat.

  • Waylon "standin'&jamin"! Thank-you!

  • waylon you were the best ever ....my mama has a tattoo of him on her arm after his death she went back & had the date put under it ...named my oldest brother after him

  • Jamey Johnson does some good Waylon covers...I did TT too, both awesome singers, and travis can pick...I agree New Country is a sham produced for young women, give me my outlaws back...

  • Tritt is as close to Waylon as it gets. Country music and most of the other ass clowns (i.e Miranda Lambert) suck these days. Murder has been commited on Music Row. Greats like Tritt have been replaced by Jimmy Buffet wannabes like chesney and company. It is sad, Shooter Jennings and other great people didn't even have a chance at so called 'country music'

  • That seems sad... but Waylon was never supposed to have a chance either. He had to fight for everything he wanted to do. So, we just need to find someone who will stick to their guns and fight Nashville...

  • yep.shooter, hank III, josh williams, old crow medicine show, the list goes on and on... thank goodness for the internet fuk 98% of the trash on radio

  • I really enjoy Wyalon and Travis tritt singing together. They do the same duet on Waylon's last concert at the Ryman

(The WAYMORE Blues band). Travis Tritt does such a great job on Waylon's music. I wish he would sing more of it and keep Waylon's music alive. Travis Tritt is so talented. DOn't seem to hear much about him these days. Did he turn 45 and get kicked out of Nashville or just usurped by Keney Chesney, Alan Jackson, and other new singers?

  • These 2 are and were the REAL deal...seen Tritt live was great never got a chance to see Waylon wish I had

  • 2 great singers

    RIP WAYLON

  • Great to see such a young Travis! :)

  • Waylon, You'LL always be remembered as one of the worlds greatest country icons. Waylon, you haven't really gone, because your music will be here for ever.

  • why does he look so much shorter then waylon lol wen he actually isnt lol.

  • very well said ha ha.

  • travis tritt is one of the last REAL country music singers you ever hear. country aint country no more

  • Yes absolutely thanks.

  • Love Waylon Kat

  • Awesome video. Thanks for posting this absolute gem.

  • What can you say? So Cool!

  • they are having a blast doing this. This is awesom.

  • i have been of Travis since 1989! NO MATTER WHAT HE COMES OUT IT'S KICK ASS. The 2 best unreleased Travis tracks are: BIBLE BELT and HOMESICK!!!

  • Guitars , Jim Beam and Waylon !... that's all I got to say !

  • The Only singer that can Star Struck Tritt lol Travis looks like he is Singing with God himself lol And he may very well be. No One Has ever been able to touch Waylon`s voice ever.

  • notice how tritt tries to lower his lol..hah not bad though

  • Great duo, great song.

  • Travis and waylon are two good ole boys who are 2 perfect voices to sing together :)

  • Yes, Travis is a good match for Waylon, but not as good as the rest of the Highwaymen were. Waylon's voice has no peer. As Kristofferson said, "the best there has ever been" His range is fantastic. Listen to this video without looking at it and you will sure hear the difference.

  • Someone else said it, those piano players really are fantastic! And Travis is a good match for Waylon. Sure do miss this kind of music!

  • Two of the greats kickin' ass! Waylon was the man.

  • amazig

  • well hell, excuse my Texas expression when I say, that was kick fckin asz. Where's the Dairy queen at I need a 40 oz. and a malt.

  • The pianist on the far instrument is absolutely AMAZING! As a former keyboard player, the guy's talent is mind boggling.

  • I'vwe watched this video several times and love it. I wish they could have done more duets together. TT and Waylon also do the same song on Waylon's Never Say Die cd and DVD. It is great too and not to be missed. Ol Waylon, you were the best. Maybe TT will sing more of your songs.

  • It's Jerry Bridges. He was Waylon's long-time guitar (and sometimes bass) player. Awesome Player!

  • Two great singers and a bunch of fantastic musicians. Thank's for posting def717. Anyone knows who is on the Les Paul?

  • OK this song makes me smile! :D

  • Love Travis Tritt.

  • love it! sure do miss waylon's great bass beat style , nothing like it since, sadly to say

  • Great video!Waylon was a great guitar picker and the best singer country music has ever seen.

  • Yes, a legend and a future legend.

  • I wish you could have stayed with us forever Waylon. I miss you like crazy. I just love this song.

  • Super video! Two of my favs on a great song! Thanks for posting!

  • RIP Waylon

  • Oh what a super performance by two of my favourite singers, and the guitar playing WOW!

I didn't know Travis was such a mean guitar picker. The backup music was also great specially the piano playing, everything perfect.

A great video thanks for posting.

  • Hey mickmac- It really is a great video! You should check out TT's new CD, The Storm. It is amazing! Thanks for your comment! Danielle

  • One of my favorite Waylon tunes.

  • The Legend and his protege performing on the same stage. This is indeed a rare treat...excellent.TY for posting.

  • I couldn't have said it better myself, thanks for the video and thanks mclenptp for the altement statement...so so true Barbara from Canada

  • We miss you Waylon!!!

  • Great video. Waylon just is so good no one comes close. Well, maybe Travis.

  • to great singers

    RIP Waylon

  • AMEN

  • Waylon has in my opinion the best country voice ever just so original not twangy like everything you hear now, altho i do like travis tritt w3aylon sings effortlessly...

  • They could have just left out the solo on the Les Paul. It's a "Telecaster Only" song. Pretty good video though.

  • God, cant you tell how the newer country over-do the accent?

  • At the time, Travis looked so small and insignificant against the great waylon, but now Travis had made a real name for himself. Goes to show who you learn from reflects later, way to go Waylon for teaching Travis to be a great performer !

    sharing the light,

    erica a.k.a. 'enlightenedpsych2'

  • this video is truely amazing!

  • It's called "I've Always Been Crazy"...Two country GREATS! Awesome video!

  • EASY LISTENING, KICK ASS MUSIC!

  • Smokin Twang! Thats from a weekly tv show Walon had in the 90's. I think there were about 4 or 5 shows, with a diffrent guest each week. This song sticks in my head like it was yesterday ! Thanks ! Check out my Waylon Portrait guitar from this time at .. roofologist dot com ,its worth the look, I promise

  • Glad Travis got rid of that hat! Sounds pretty good. I've got a version of this song with just Travis singing that I posted too.

  • The Master and the Apprentice, Travis the next breed of 'Outlaw' and this video shows exactly why ole hoss will be sadly missed. RIP Waylon.
