you're really good it's just that you need to move faster with the fast notes and trust me it will sound better. also try not to rest in between the notes. I've been through the same thing. I always play on stages and sometimes get invited to play some places and i'm only 14. Once you play more in front of people it will get so much easier (:

@142848 Well, i think she sounds great. When it comes to the moving part, when you start playing a song that you enjoy playing, you get lost in the music and you sway with it. She, like any other flute player, still has room to grow, so don't down her for it! =D

Performing anything, even just speaking in public can be a frightening experiences. This young lady is an excellent flautist. It wasn't her technical understanding of the flute that was at fault... it was inexperience in being in front of crowds of people. To discourage someone of talent is doing the world a disservice, we need to hear her play her flute. i know im definetly wayy younger than you (im 12) but ive been playing for a while this is my third year i go to i.s.318 and i heres some advice. work on you breathing using some long tones and you should fix how you put your flute the way you put it looks very uncomfortable. that should help you get better ]

Sally, this was beautiful! yeah yeah the breathing blah blah metronome. but I love how your vibrato mimics Celine's so well that it actually starts to sound like her voice in parts! No performance is perfect. Just use the feedback and work at it. BOOM!
