  • My IP Address is the same on both computers and i can not connect. Is that a Problem?

  • thanks for your IP

  • @TomCuthbert93 yeah no probs...feel free to use it..

  • @Computerbasics im hoping you DO know what some people are cappable of with a IP,,,?

  • @TomCuthbert93 If you read back through the comments...my ips are not the same...

  • @Computerbasics yup there is a main ip which is located in the modem for the main connection to the web and there is sub ip which is what you see for connection..

  • @TomCuthbert93 Couldn't you just tell your computer not to be controlled over remote access? in its properties?

  • @ZER0EVO nope, its through Ip

  • @TomCuthbert93

To get to this LAN IP you would need to know her WAN IP first provided from her ISP.

  • @TomCuthbert93 Are you STUPID? That's the INTERNAL Ip. Everyone has that one and if you try it, you will spin around in circles. (you'll connect to yourself)

  • @newman30000010 HAHA you fucking retards dont know the meaning of sarcasm or what?

  • @TomCuthbert93 Shaddap and don't call me a retard

  • @TomCuthbert93

these are local ip in the network , there not the same as seen by the outside world you tard

  • @freddyshutsupforever you mean local and global IP's P.S IT'S BEEN 8 MONTHS SO STFU WITH THIS "HUEHUEHUE IM PRO COMPUTER NERD" SHIT jesus fucking christ think i give a fuck about what your on about > ? :S

  • @TomCuthbert93 im hoping you DO know that this is a local ip and it will only be possible to connect to theese computers with that ip if u all are connected to the same network

  • @TomCuthbert93 lol retard

  • @TomCuthbert93 Its her Local IP, its worthless to anyone. Almost everyone's computer is 192.168.0.X, you would need her external IP to be able to do anything.

  • @TomCuthbert93 lol hahahhahahaha is that possible for you to control His computer<?hahah

  • @ericsantiago011 you can ping the net, shut the computer down, anything you want with the global ip

  • @TomCuthbert93 Actually, that is only a internal IP, not external IP.

  • @varpppisss wonder how many jackasses are gonna comment back trying to be technical -.-

  • @TomCuthbert93 Oh god damn you can't be serious! Haven't you heard a word "sarcasm"?

  • @varpppisss i have heard of the phrase "after 6 months, it's best to leave it"

  • @TomCuthbert93 Oh shit. Didn't notice that. FUCK!

  • @TomCuthbert93

Obviously you don't realize how many different computers can be behind a router with the IP 192.168.0.3.

You may want to do some research before you decide to run off at the mouth at what you THINK you can do with an IP

  • doesnt work.. ive tried so many times and it just wont let me.. it says that it is possible that my remote connections arent enabled or that the computer im trying to reach might be too busy to be connected. I have done all you just said in both computers and it just wont le me.. so what else?

  • if you people wanna acess another computer from your house and the other computer is not on your house you need their static IP ADRESS and for and static ip adress they not no pay cuz ussally the ip adress change all times so what do the static ip adress do is that dont change so that why you need to pay and thats what you need to acess another computer

  • let me tell u one thing, that for remote desktop private ip connection is required for connection.

  • do i need to turn off the firewall of the computer im connecting to?

  • Comment removed

  • thanxxxxxxx alot

  • wow, in order for me to connection to the remote computer do i need to connect the internet cable into my host or the remote computer? HELP

  • @tuckavids hi i know i don't know u... but if u open ur computer from another computer, u can do anything u want, even internet, but u have to have internet at your main computer, thx

  • @am4830 I am on the same network in my house. They all have an internet connection available to them...they are connecting through the network and yes I can browse the internet when using remote desktop.

  • @tuckavids Both computers have internet to them... they are networked in my house...

  • @Computerbasics Guys i have a question... ist possible to connect to other country?cos me im here in spain...and for example i want to connct to philippines...ist possible?...and ist possible that i might see the work of the others?and to control their computer?... just a question only heheh

  • um so technically what you are telling me is That basically connection to another network, what can i do then? can i transfer files?

  • from one pc with vista home premium to another pc with vista home premium? On microsofts' website, they say it can not be done. so, how can you do it?

  • @salinmt Hi there...I am remote desktopping from a Windows Vista home prem to a Windows vista unlitmate, so I can't tell you if home prem to home prem works... But are you sure you do not have home and not home premium?

  • I looked under 'computer' then 'properties' and it says Windows Vista TM Home Premium ..and that's on both computers

  • @salinmt I am pretty sure it should work if you enable all the settings. Its home basic that is junk.

  • Thank you very much :D:D::D <3<3

  • thanks enjoy your help.

  • this is all good, but you forget to mention that you can' t use it on windows vista home premium

  • I have done this with vista home premium also...but not vista home....

  • Do you have to have a PASSWORD on the other computer to access it?

because the other computer i have and want to access, i DO NOT have a password...so what do I enter in Password Box?

  • ye mate u need a password & account otherwise u cannot connect remotley

  • You can use photoshop on the remote computer but the work will be saved to the remote computer. However in this case I would save my work on a shared drive. Then you have the program on both computers and edit the same file on the shared drive. This only works when you are on your network though. If you are on another network you will not be able to access the shared drive...

The only thing you can copy and paste between computers when remote desktoping is text.

  • awesome =]

Is it possible to go on something like photoshop on a remote desktop but save to the actual computer your on?

  • awesome
