  • Thanks so much! Now I don't have to pay for it from the library :D You've just made me indescribably elated xD Bless you for uploading this <3 xxx

  • When our production was finished, the director each gave us a videotaped copy. Can anyone answer this question for me? If I upload my hometown's production of this, will it be seen as a copyright violation?

  • @robynsegg: What if I just upload my scenes so I can make a demo reel of my work??? Is that still a violation?

  • hello everyone!!! im 13 and im playing penny in my school production of "you can't take it with you" i am so glad to have seen this, i love it!!!

  • At 55 yrs of age this movie remains the greatest film I have ever seen with immaculate and imaginative direction from Capra and stellar performances. The storyline applies to todays faith/love and business/politics a stunning 74 years later. A timeless, great piece of art and a beautiful expression of the human struggle with values and greed. If you have never seen this movie, do yourself a very big favour and watch it. It is fun and very fullfilling.

  • thank You1

  • omg...thank you soooo sooo much i saw this movie once and totaly fell for it

  • Thank you! Its my school's spring play so...

  • a truely wonderful kapra-esque movie... when i think of the crap we put out now it illuminates how far down our society has fallen

  • i played alice XD in a play

  • Thanks for posting! Our Highschool is putting on this production. I'm a stage manager, and Friday is opening night!

  • thanks sooo much, i play Mr. Depinna in my schools production, and it really helps

  • I'd like to say to everybody, it's so nice to know that even now, about 80 years later, that this play is still going strong through the schools, because where I live, there are very few people who have ever heard of the movie, let alone the play. they would never do this show here, and that's too bad, this is one of those stories that I think everybody ought to be familiar with.

  • I loved being a apart of this play. "You can't take it with you." When I was in high school; I played the character Jim. (One of the Government man in this play version.) I was an understudy for older son's part; I think? But another person; who had more time with the group. Got the the part in the play. (I lacked a strong conviction. When I try to battle for that part.) I've gained a stronger conviction in many aspects. But yet I lack an understanding of "tactics" towards networking.

  • Just got done playing Paul, funniest show out there

  • I'm essie!! i needed some ideas and this was perfect! :)

  • I just got cast as penny!!! I'm so excited!! It's my first play! Any tips??

  • James Stewart billed third.

  • Double cast as Mr. Henderson and Mr. Kirby in my school production. Even better that they have a movie about it!

  • @619kade, I haven't seen the movie yet. I read the comments to get a feel for the movie before I watch it. I'm terribly sorry you feel that way about your part in the play. Someone once said "There are no small parts, only small actors" so be the best "Donald" you can be. That is, if you can act. It also might help if you change your opinion about your part. Give it some thought.

  • i have 2 play donald but hes a nigger, sadface

  • @619kade Hey, my friend played him our freshman year and he nearly stole the show because he was so funny. And now he gets all the lead roles. Don't ever complain, work with what you have. It's like, a ten person cast... just be glad you're in it!

  • I was in this play, brings back memories. Thanks.

  • One of my all~time favorite comedies! Thank you so much for posting this great classic! Beats the h*** outta what passes for entertainment 2010. ;)

  • This show is absolutly wonderful. My school just did it for our fall play and I had the honor and priviledge of playing Grandpa. There is so much love that goes into this play. It was very sad to see it go so quickly. But the message of freedom and choosing happiness for yourself is unforgettable. Thank you so much for posting this. And may you all find happiness.

  • Im Ed in a drama scene! This is amazing. Im loving how much I can get of his personality! IT is really cool to find out even more than just one singular scene!

  • Thank you so much for this. I'm in a situation right now where I'm competing with my best friend for the role of Penelope in our high school production of this and this will help me so much.

  • Thank you so much for posting this! I have to analyze this movie for a philosophy class. It is so much easier to write an essay while watching the movie, instead of trying to remember every detail from class.

  • Thanks for posting this movie! I'm playing Ed in a performance at the New Hampshire Theater Project next week.

  • Thank you for this! I'm using it as a reference. I'm Rheba in a local production in my hometown, so again, thanks!

  • You are welcome....glad it helped! One of my favorites!

  • It's a little bit different from the play, I've learned. 1.) Grandpa doesn't bring any1 home from the IRS office. 2.) Mr. Kirby isn't trying to buy Grandpa's land. 3.) & The Prison Scene isn't shown. My character, Rheba & her bf Donald only talk about it! A couple of my cast members were looking @ it w/ me today b4 rehearsal. Maybe when the show ends (on Mother's Day) maybe I'll show it @ the cast party. I just wish I could put the 12 parts back together! LOL! Again, Thanks! {{{{^_^}}}}

  • @robynsegg Bahaha I'm Donald!

  • @flyingbowser2: LOL! You're playing Donald???? Congratulations & have fun w/ your part! Break a leg sweetie! {{{{^_^}}}}

  • @robynsegg :D Haha thanks! I'll try :O "Damn, those flies in the kitchen!" ^_^

  • Thanks so much for posting this movie; it is one of the best besides "Harvey" and "It's a Wonderful Life". James Stewart and the rest of the cast are fabulous!!

  • quite welcome. I'm also quite the fan of this movie!
