the start of the vhs dino riders was one of my fav parts and being as young as i was i actually thought that maybe of i saw dinosaurs at a museum that they would come alive like in the start of the film.also he through out my copy of the labrinth (david bowie ) vid and my dark crystal video and all my muppets vids like the frog prince out.(i havent seen or heard of sir robin the brave since
man i had this vid on vhs and one weekend that we went to dads he had thrown this vid all my dino riders figures and all my masters of the universe figures out cause he was sick of all the toys we had at his place,oh and also my big trouble in little china vid all my tyco super blocks and my banana split snack shop,it was the darkest and most depressing day of my life.f u dad what the hell were u thinking
god I LOVE this show. I never have seen any other episode besides episode 1, but this alone is totally EPIC! if i watched the tape untill the VERY end I could see the beginning of episode 2 and i always wished i could see the entire thing.
Alright! Someone put up the superior VHS version with the better sound effects and superb background music. I wonder why there are two different versions of the first two episodes?
i watched the intro without this and I was like, man they needed the museum opening, I still have the VHS from my brother who was an 80's kid, my mom wanted to throw it out but I saved it
You know, with the number of inaccuracies in this thing, I'm surprised that they actually gave the t. rex two fingers. Fun Fact: t. rex actually had three fingers, the third was just so tiny you wouldn't have been able to see it.
Adding to my previous statement, something else I didn't notice until just recently was the arms on the tyrannosaurus rex are way too long. The animal is almost able to put his "hands" together; when in reality , the arms were much too short to be of much use - if any at all. Also, I'm pretty sure I read somewhere they were very muscular, and could probably lift up to 600lb each. Too bad they were too short to even reach the mouth. I doubt the animal used them.
i was never born in the 80s but i watched my brothers tapes of this show and believe me i have the very same nostalgia i really wish i hadnt broken my only toy of this though it wouldve looked damn good in my room
What is so alluring, is the awareness that each is engaged in a battle for life called social-darwinism. Most understand this innately, but the full concept is suppressed by a world-view that has not yet matured into being able to properly explain and teach this natural law. The wonder is commonly experienced through falsely separating man from animals and using imagination as a means to temporarily bridge the gap. I.E. Dinosaurs being used as pawns in galactic chess is fucking awesome.
Does anyone here know how many Dino-Rider Episodes were released on VHS? This is really great ! I wouldn't need the museum-opening but this music is indeed EPIC !
For the longest time, I thought Dino Riders was a short movie, mainly b/c my older brother had taped the first 2 episodes back-to-back w/o commercials so it didn't look like two separate episodes.
god to think i didn't get psyched for the military super blocks! and i'm also surprised due to the times that tyco didn't get sued by Lego for working with them too... Lol just a thought... btw thx for posting this, this is the version i wanted to see for so long!
They should make this into a live action movie. To be a kid in the 80's and 90's we actually had to use our imagination when playing instead of video games. I had a NES but I played with action figures more. I remember having this video and driving my mom insane because I would watch it alot. Also I got the T-rex for Christmas one year.
Live action would be so cool!!! Or animated!!! Just no CGI please. I don't care much for CGI - they maybe able to do more with it, but CGI still doesn't have the "depth" that traditional animation has.
Krulos was voiced by Frank Welker aka Megatron and his lieutenant was voiced by Chris latta aka Starscream. The animation quality was great! back then.
This brings back MEMORIES. I actually hadn't been born when this came out, but when I was about 8 I got into the dinosaur craze. We only had one episode on VHS, the third one, and I couldn't stop watching it. It drove my family crazy!
yahoo over rocks and through the mud XD I totally have this whole thing memorized stil from when i was a kid. I either watched this, sectaurs or computer warriors on a daily basis lol
dude you are a god for putting this up. for 20 years my family thought i was nuts. they thought this show was some shit i dreamed up or something. today i finally found my "dream"
You said it brother. Watching this show has been like being 5 years old all over again. Its fuckin wild. And yes I remembered this show from a random pic on an image board. I was like ''Holy Shit, thats the fuckin show!!'' Hahahah

@Krayorik2point0
I don't know about the 3 fingers on T-Rex, but it's proven the animal walked with it's tail horizontal to the ground, and not dragging.
