  • FUCKIN AWESOME! i got shivers from chime onwards. it's a banjo?

  • @trustyification It is a Banjolele....a banjo and a Ukulele were put into the LHC and Smashed together at near light-speed and that is how the Banjolele was born.

  • I say, what a super song old chap. Always listen to this when drinking lashings of ginger beer.

  • Love Mr B xxxxxxxx

  • For me, Mr B has definitely eclipsed Professor Elemental. All hail the Chap!

  • For me milk in my tea makes me physically sick. I do like a spoon full of sugar though.

  • Where do i download this I want it ever so much

  • @Psstization Use a youtube converter if you're one of those horribly uncouth Americans. Otherwise go to his website.

  • OMG U SHUFFLE!!!!!!! LMAO!!!!!

  • @MrCrow1985 and 6 more people after them couldn't seem to find another race when they sent to outer space :D

  • That smiley-face guy looks like Frank Sidebottom would if he went to a rave.

  • I remember hearing this on radio

  • crazy love it keep it up

  • @MrCrow1985 i like sugar in my tea... however i don not dislike this epicness :D

  • This is SPIFFING stuff!

    Carry on my good man!

  • Utter, utter, UTTER genius, I was proper laughing out loud by the time it got to "Out Of Space" :)

  • @alexanderrorycargill Here Here!

  • This is amazing live.

  • Chap life 4 eva chum

  • Top drawer.

  • I really want a banjolele.

  • LOVE YOU Mr. B. Want to do, very naughty things with him despite the mustache or maybe because of it. Now I'm a Chap-hop groupie.

  • This is what I sound like and I am from york

  • I much prefer Mr. B when he's performing original pieces. When he's just covering pop songs with a banjo and an accent it's not really entertaining.

  • an unparalleled work of genius

  • Marry me Mr B?

  • Mr B doesn't seem like the sort of person who would be involved with someone who called himself acid ted. I wouldn't think he would have an addictive personality.

  • Tashtastic Mr B!

  • So, um.... I kinda made this tribute to Mr. B in my spare time.

    watch?v=9hpcnegEaZY

    ... yeah...

  • absolutely superior!!!

  • Garage classics next!!

  • hooray for amazing mustaches and ukulele playing!!

  • Absolutely brilliant!!! In fact Genius!!!

  • BLOODY MARVELOUS!!!

  • Absolutely top drawer eh what? The spiffing rendition of the Prodigious' fine ditty at the finalé got me quite boisterous too!

  • Brilliant!

  • @Budgiesmuggler could you do the same kind of list for'Chap-Hop History'

  • Brilliant ... Sounds like Stewie off family guy!

  • Fabulous, and such high production values too! An all-round top effort! Hurrah!

  • This guy sounds exactly like the singer from the Strawbs...

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this Jim xx

  • First Val Kilmer was fat, now he's British?

  • Mr B has swag and he is grime -3

  • @BenMobbsTV I have no idea what that means, but can only assume you mean he is an absolutely spiffing gent.

  • LMGDAO! I have everyone of those tunes in various versions on various singles AND albums as well as a mountain of pure ace dance music........however as soon as I'm on the razzle dazzle I STILL have to listen to this at least once 'cos it's f@cking EPIC!

  • Just saw this guy perform a one hour show live in a pub at the Edinburgh Festival. Absolutely hilarious - brilliant live.

  • This pootles along quite splendidly until 2:40. At 2:40 it becomes one of the most wondrous things ever beholden by man.

  • This is total fucking genius. Why have I not heard of this chap before?

  • I say, what a splendid composition this is, rather top-notch. You've outdone yourself old boy, keep it up!

  • <3

  • FabO

  • this song and video are both bloody brilliant works

  • Love it! Bloody brilliant!

  • Oh I do love this... What a charming chap! :)

  • Fantastic Mr B! What's all this silly competition with professor Elemental whipped up by musical pygmies. Are they suggesting Dre should move over for say, Kanye because there is only room for 1 artist in a genre? Doh!

  • @bjorkish68 MC and DJ rivalries are part of the core of hip-hop, chap or otherwise. it's vital for the evolution of the art form...

  • Always been a fan of the Gentleman Rhymer...but with this one, Mr B has taken his lyrical/musical stylings to another level. First rate work sir!

  • @ KlaxonCow

The Prodigy lifted that lyric from the Lee Perry/Max Romeo 'Chase the Devil' which goes "Gonna send him to outer space" - I believe that the excellent Mr B is merely trying on Max Romeo's Jamaican twang, hence "gwan send im..."

"Transcending into outer space" sounds good though!

  • @ KlaxonCow

"Transcending into outer space" sounds good though!

  • It's funny, but I always thought the lyrics to Prodigy's "out of space" were "I'm transcending into outer space".

But looking it up on the Googles, all lyrics sites seem to have "I'm gonna send him to outer space" or "I gone sending to outer space" (the latter of which makes no fucking sense at all).

If those are the correct lyrics, then they really shouldn't be.

"I'm transcending into outer space" makes vastly more sense and is far more poetical than some meaningless "gone sending" nonsense.

  • I paid attention.. I found myself in outer space with another race.. Thank god for Ipods, eh?

  • what a genius..loved to see him in colab with beardy man....

  • @davyboy62 Second

  • i think that mr b just pulled ahead of proffessor E

  • Brava bravissimo old chap, keep up the good work!

  • Oh my eyes, this is genius.

  • liking the old fashioned avocado bathroom

  • I regret that I have but one like to give.

  • Mr. B carries an unusually high level of "badass" throughout this whole thing. I found it quite enjoyable, and a very addictive mix.

  • @deldulin indeed ,it is quite an addictive mix.

    I'm currently a once a day man.

  • Outstanding stuff.

    A scholar and a gentleman.

  • I found Mr. B through Professor Elemental's dis-song "Fighting Trousers."

I see why Elemental feels threatened, because B is the superior gentleman rhymer.

  • @srushaggs And my response is that you, sir, are a blackguard and a philistine. And I say good day to you, sir.

  • Hahahahaha love this, I like your tweed sir!

  • "Who's coming up for the rush?" Priceless...

  • I will say, after some thought (and, indeed drunken musings) that Mister B's delivery of these folk songs is rather crisp, somewhat like a cup of fine Oolong in the early morning.

  • @belaskoTheNinja check out beardyman

  • @belaskoTheNinja before you educate the Neanderthals you should take note that the genre of music played in this video is rave, techno and old skool hardcore and not hip hop....

  • i love this video

  • Great song as usual from Mr. B. and quite the epic suit at the beginning. Come to the U.S. and educate these neanderthals on what proper hip hop is...

  • Please Mr B, please do a full version of 'chime' with the banjo-lele. It was quite magnificent. I would be willing to pay upto four pounds for the pleasure of owning such a song.

    Kind Regards

  • Please end this insanity

  • What's all this crap about Elemental? He's a completely different act but he definitely isn't as likeable as Mr B. Elemental just looks like an unshaven bloke trying to act posh. Mr B looks the real deal. He's far more creative and entertaining. He's created a character with a unique personality that is making fun of the rich Oxbridge upper classes and at the same time paying homage to good music! I find Elemental's rhyming and his videos incredibly boring. Give me Mr B any day!

  • Mr B is performing in Brighton on the 5th May at Jam, Middle Street. Click the above link if you want to buy tickets!! BE quick! Go to ticket web to get tickets or go to facebook and message Michael Mcintyre Gold!

  • Jolly good! He hits these spot on with his Duncan Fearnley.

  • trippy

  • JUST aWESOME..:-d..IM front an centre for this at beatherder Festi :-D..luv his mash up of Epic Dance tunes..take tha P I Salute ya :-D

  • Mr b is utterly wonderful. Unique and fabulous.

  • Arggh what is the solo in the middle? I know it, but cant pin point it!!

And when are you next in Brighton Mr B!?

  • Jolly, jolly, spiffing. I am all for dance music played on banjos. Do pass the hoookah, there's a good chap.

  • A thought - Mr B should be our next Eurovision entry. Apart from the fact he is possibly the only one who could make Eurovision watchable, he would be by far the most British entrant ever. Not to mention our best chance of actually winning.

  • @ZZvonSchnerk

    A spot-on proposition.

  • @ZZvonSchnerk The Europeans wouldn't understand.

  • @comradeheathcliff

Surely that just means we need to educate them - like Chap-Hop missionaries bringing the good news of this fantastic music.

  • @ZZvonSchnerk He is too epic to be contained within such feeble things.

  • Its even better in 1911

  • Sing along.....

  • Genius:)

+1 "Physically sick" very well done indeed sir

  • Please illuminate me, when are you playing Manchester? Myself and a number of fellow chaps are intrigued by your maverick chappish beats.

  • What are these songs? I recognize some of them but I'm wracking my brain on the others. I've never been a fan of rave music but suddenly I'm interested in hearing the originals. You are brilliant.

  • @JosephJamesScott

#1 - The Shamen - Move Any Mountain

    #2 - Reel 2 Real - I Like To Move It

    #3 - Inner City - Good Life

    #4 - Orbital - Chime

    #5 - SL2 - On A Ragga Tip

#6 - The Prodigy - Out Of Space

  • @Budgiesmuggler Thank you so much! Good life and Chime really had me stumped!

  • Seven people missed the like button because they had been given the sweets that make them feel rather queer.

  • I think I'm in love.

  • Absolutely topping, sah!

  • If I had a time machine I would travel back to 1950 and use this video to slowly break people into rave music.

  • There's one MAJOR thing wrong with this video.

Where's the 'buy on iTunes now' button? Surely you embrace this new fangled technology.

  • Absolutely spiffing. Does one know what the song is around 3min 50 secs in? "Wa day" or some such. Used to go into a veritable frenzy back in the day, but can't remember the track's name or who it's by. Too much laudanum and opium one imagines.

  • @sambagaz SL2 - On a Ragga Tip, XL recordings.

  • @ProjectorGames Nice one dude, spot on.

  • Professor Elemental or Mr. B? I like both of you :)

  • Why I do believe that this song is jolly ripping good.

  • Epic.

  • Epic.

  • i think i am in love.

  • @sgtrock70 hey mr B being the gentleman and good old chap that you are do you reckon there is a slight chance you will be accompanying me and a few chums in Liverpool we would very much appreciate it :D I will be sure to continue to promote you up here in the north :D

  • @sgtrock70 any chance of mr b making an appearance in liverpool?

  • @hypeo07 I agree

  • Sounds like something that would be on the Mighty Boosh I love it :D

  • Wow! Great job all around! Takes me back...

  • Now that is what one may call a dapper performance.

  • I can't stop listening to this! See you in Reading, good sir

  • This reminds me of some mad night in the 90's when the biscuits were good HAHA MENTAL ;) funny as f***!

  • ha for once i was in his world , for a day or two

  • This chap rocks - If you get a chance to see him play you should make the effort & go. Check out his web site for gig dates. Simply spiffing!

  • 7 people couldn't move any mountain

  • Why, I do believe your ukulele is falling apart good sir.

  • All proper tea is best.

  • I do say, I' m entirely certain that I could not begin to keep up with this man's audial verbiosity!

  • The absolute Don! superb, Mr B.

  • Top kahuna...best clip on youtube

  • The beat for "i like to move it move it" part is the EXACT same beat as basshunter's saturday...

  • @vsharm001 No; Basshunter's Saturday has exactly the same beat as "I like to move it".

  • One can always tell the quality of a man by his mustache, and yours my good sir is exquisite! By the by, I must say a teaming up of sorts between you and Proffesor Elemental would be a jolly good show and I am simply gravelled that it has not been suggested by one of these fine commentators. A pipe of wine and a bowl of tobacco could surely settle your differences! Theres no need for two well respected gentlemen such as yourselves to be coming at eachother all hammer and tongs!

  • How can there only be 21,976 hits on Mr B. 'Going off' as he is here..??? Has the world gone mad..??? Have the lunatics truely taken over the assylum...??? I left his presence refreshed &rejuvenated. Mr. B - please inject some REJUVENATION INTO THE NATION. Don't hide your talent under a Bushel - or even a Nescafe... As the seagull is to the chip - Mr. B is to Mel - O - Dee. To use an ancient, oriental blessing.... "Love you looooong time". Cheers OE2NB
  • I love this guy!

  • My dear, dear man, I will never be able to hear Chime again without the beautiful twangs of the Banjolele reverberating around my Skull. Spellbounding in its genius. Pip pip and et cetera :)

  • where can one get this fine longplay by the name of "I Say!" in the states

  • Nuff respect !!! Back to the oldskool !!!!!

  • The Jive Bunny of whatever they're calling this decade!

  • One of the finest headnods in existence. Parallels Daft Punk's "Teachers" in quality, but kills it in inventiveness.

  • <3 Cannot begin to explain the place Mr B has in my heart. I first saw him at the Frank Sidebottom memorial gig and he just.. utterly, utterly creased me. Simply brilliant.

  • Brilliance!

  • You truly are the Lord Kitchener of Rhyme. Tip top.

  • I should moreover like to add that, should our man Mr. B and this Sergeant Rock ever meet, our lyrically dapper fellow of the microphone should most certainly tell him precisely the same thing. Why, whether these superstars, in particular, or any other manner of plimsoll, a gentleman's footwear is not therewith consistent, chaps.

  • While entirely splendid an effort otherwise, I really must agree with this Sergeant Rock chap (of the Seventieth Surrey, is it?); chap-hop this is not. As to how anyone properly ill in the manner not to connote malaise, however, might advocate the wearing these 'superstars' or what have you, I cannot imagine. As a non-commissioned gent, in fact, I should rather have expected hobnails and puttees on the fellow.

  • Acid, I don't think thats all you've taken ;-)

  • If techno or house all sounded similar to this, I would go to raves. Unfortunately, the majority of what I hear does not, and, extenuating circumstances excluded, I will not go to them.

  • absolutely wonderful good sir!

  • I find your erudite and most brogue-tappingly rhythmical tunes quite enchanting Sir! A happy new year to you!

  • Classy, bangin', quality!

  • Marvellous stuff from a most entertaining gentleman.

  • I simply, utterly, categorically adore this. I can't express how much this tickles me! LOVE.

  • This is veritably top-hole entertainment for the discriminating listener. I eagerly anticipate hearing it on the Light Programme in the nearest future.

  • Come on clubbers! Let's make this a hit!

  • Why isn't this like, the biggest hit ever?! Wah!

  • Only just twigged the lazer beams for eyes bit after seeing the video.........

  • Sir, where did your friend "Acid Ted" get his large smiley face head?

  • Hahaha...nice

  • Clearly this man is a misunderstood genius.

  • brilliant. the chime section is a visual treat

  • Brilliant!! :)

  • Bravo Sir! Another triumph for the gentleman rhymer. How anyone could side with that oaf Elemental is beyond me. He's a grubby working class demagogue who reeks of turnips. Bring on the confrontation! Two chaps enter, one gentleman rhymer leaves...

  • Splendid ditty sir.

  • Thumbs up if you find yourself liking Mr B's take on these songs to better than most, or all, of the originals!

  • Well done old chap
