  • How can Jerry Lawler be doing voiceover work at this time in the WWF??

  • Holla! Have you considered intellectus 424 diet (just google it)? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my work buddy lost a ton of weight with it.

  • @teranu exercise more, eat less. it's not complicated.

  • wht a joke

  • Four idiots who viewed this video work for the Federal Trade Commission.

  • I first saw this in 1990, and I was laughing for two weeks straight. (And still grinning inanely a month afterwards.) I came prepared, but it wasn't enough to stifle the laughter.

You deserve a Nobel Prize for preserving this piece of comedic history! (And for uploading it!!) I'm gonna have to take a closer look at what the fine print in the ad says. (I'm sure more laughter is on the way!)

  • so, this is the diet that Richard Simmons is on.

  • Old wrestling stuff like this is why I love youtube

  • was he supposed to get a push in the wwf?

  • @okrabay

Never, he was a jobber, jobbed to guys like Koko B. Ware and Tito Santana.

  • @keijimuto He had more of a push in the early/mid-80s. He even got World Title shots against Backlund, I believe.

  • @mamacornettesmoney He was a big noise in the AWA when he tagged with Doug Sommers, check out their wars with the Midnight Rockers from back in the day.

  • @DrJReefer Oh yeah, I've seen all of that. I was an AWA watcher at that time.

  • i want the original one, the one that aired on SNME before the lawler years

  • how disgusting. lawler, mcmahon and rose

  • Buddy deserved better than this....Fuck You Vince !! Buddy had problems and you had to laugh about it !

  • @JonathanVonErich I talked with Buddy and he was thrilled to do this. He thought it was really funny, actually.

  • Too bad Rose didn't keep himself in the shape he was in the 70's. He'd probably still be with us

  • Playboy Buddy Rose was awesome.

  • Buddy Rose = one of the best ever.

  • This is what WWE/WWF did to famous wrestlers. But hey, he got paid big money, and went along with it.

  • @RickRudesMustache

    lol love your name...

  • I remember seeing this.. (Lawler's voice wasn't in the original).. and just thought it was strange.. not funny or anything.. just weird segment to put in a show..

  • 1-800-LARDASS

  • i was laughing MY ass off!!

  • What a shame that Rose was reduced to a joke at the end of his career. R.I.P.

  • @nicko198080 He'll always be "The Crippler" in my mind. One of the greatest villains Roddy Piper ever fought!

  • I remember this but i feel it is differnt

  • what the hell? the original version aired in 1990 and had a random guy announcing, and i think the dialogue was slightly different. anyone know when and why they did a remake with Vince and Lawler?

  • i noticed that as well. the skit came out about 2 years before lawler worked for the wwf. not sure why they redid it.

  • anyone know if this diet actually worked?

  • One of the few funny and memorable moments of the WWF

  • That's a classic.

  • @HBKanedge818 I'm tempted to call, and if someone should answer, I'll ask if Buddy is in... "Or maybe you know him as Playboy?"

  • @GOFLuvr i called and got an answer they asked if i wanted the blow away package ..

  • I miss Buddy. He could wrestle and provide the laughs.

  • I only met Buddy on two times both times had a nice conversation with him. I found out yesterday of his death from a friend of his. I'm not sure if Buddy was ever not a heal but outside the ring he was really one of the good guys.

  • It's always sad to find out another wrestler died.

    RIP Buddy Rose

  • r.i.p.

  • Jerry Lawler.

  • what year was this?

  • Originally it was made in 1990 when Buddy was enhancement talent for the WWF. And it was done with a different announcer. It was brought back during the 1995 or 1996 Slammy Awards with McMahon and Lawler's voice.

  • I , like others mourn the man. Never a champ, but never chump. R.I.P. Playboy.

  • Rest in Peace dude

  • I guess that big hunk of butter finally caught up with him. RIP =[

  • what year was this? Cause I dont remember Jerry Lawler being in the WWF back when Buddy Rose was.

  • The was done during Thanksgiving during the RAW era (1994 0r 95 is my best guess). They played the video and redid the voices (I like the original better since it didn't SPELL OUT EVERY JOKE FOR YOU)

  • Best best 271 uh......... I mean 217 pounder in the biz gonna miss you.

  • RIP Mr. Perschmann :(

  • RIP

  • rip

  • RIP Buddy

    What a shame

    :(

  • RIP Playboy!!

  • rip

  • RIP Buddy Rose

You will be a true WWE HALL OF FAME

  • RIP

  • "Playboy", you will be missed:(

  • It's a shame that Vince and Lawler dubbed over the original Voiceover. The original one was much better.

  • I remember watching this video when it made its debut on WWE some 20 years ago. Wow.

    RIP Buddy.

Never heard a bad word uttered about the guy.

  • RIP Buddy Rose

  • RIP.

  • we will miss you playboy

  • RIP Buddy Rose <3

  • R.I.P. Mr Rose.

  • RIP Playboy :(

  • You get three packets of chia seeds to renew his chia afro. How cool is that?

  • that is vince and the king talking about blow away.

  • Better than Stacker 2,lol.

  • Absolutely hilarious! I love the part when Buddy Rose daintly puts the tape measure around his thighs and ass. Haha!

  • It sounded like McMahon said 317 lbs. I think the original one said 217 lbs.

  • Possibly -- that's the weight Buddy Rose always insisted that he was -- a "slim, trim 217."

  • omg I am totally ordering this diet. lol Love Kirt

  • I was in Vegas in 87 at the Trop, and seen Buddy Rose at the buffet..Jesus what a swine, you couldn't see him for the mountain of food on his plate, he at like four slabs of roast beef, and three slices of apple pie. I tought he was going to eat till he shit his pants

  • Haha awesome Playboy Buddy Rose, also known as "The Executioner". He was way too big to be able to do much in the ring at this point but at least he was cool enough to do some comedy and have a laugh.

  • nice ass! HOT!

  • YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I love you!

  • man what a big tub of goo

  • lol--at least he could make fun of his weight, and not be over-sensative about it!!

  • Buddy Rose's biggest regret is this video because you see him in a lesser light.

  • Lol, you think you're so smart. Buddy Rose actually came up with the idea himself with Jimmy Hart and pitched the idea to Vince McMahon Jr.

It was his idea. He made a lot of money out of it. You fail.

  • Ha ha! I remember this being aired on Prime Time Wrestling and then Gorilla Monsoon said something like "what the hell was that!? It's that fat slob-friend of yours!" (to Bobby Heenan). A true classic!

Oh and this miraculous product was even featured in an issue of WWF magazine (a personality profile for Buddy Rose).

  • I worked on this, it's original was for a Saturday Night Main event, the Saturday after Thanksgiving in I believe 1990. The origianl voice was Michael Fineberg the husband of Vince's secratry, Emilu Fineberg. They changed the vo because Vince had a nasty split with Finebergs after it was revealed that Vince had an affair with heer.

  • I was going to say I didn't think Lawler was in the company at this point, because it was right before the AWA fell. Also Buddy Rose is freaking huge here, he must be 80-100 pounds heavier than he was in his 1985 WWF run.

  • this was an easter egg on the from the vault: shawn michaels dvd

  • Ha Ha

    Funny!

  • NICE ' TOMMY '

  • Hahaha Poor Buddy Rose, he was once scheduled to be a major player in 84 but then buggered off to the AWA. Thats why he was under a mask at WM1. Five years later THIS !!!

  • "Dough-Boy" Buddy Rose

  • omg...i remember this from the slammy awards, lol

  • i meant late 1990 not the late 90s

  • i dont like the fact vince and lawler doing this i loved it the way it was in the late 90s it sounded right vince and the king butchered this up

  • I think this was actually an hidden clip on the Shawn Michaels DVD. It was just after WWE purchased the AWA library, and I think for some legal reason they had Vince & Lawler redo the voice overs. Still a hillarious video though.

  • I remember seeing this on WWF TV back in the day, I don't think it was from the AWA library.

  • This is hilarious!!! When was this from? I never knew that Lawler and Rose were in WWE at the same time.

  • He wasn't it was redone with Jerry Lawler and Vince Mcmahon.

  • look at my videos everyone! cool video!:)

  • I recommend this diet to everybody, better then weight watchers

  • classic buddy rose.i like him when he got more portlier in the late 80s-early 90s wwf coz he was funny as a heel but still incredibly agile.

  • He is. :)

  • It sounds like Lawler's doing the voiceover with Vince McMahon.

  • hey why new Jersey?

  • ps: fag = fat american gonzo!

    not what you thought
