Jason is correct. The first generation MyTouches only have 198 mb. The G2 has 288 mb and the new MyTouch with the 3.5 mm jack also has 288 mb.

I dropped my G1 in motor oil and got a Motorola Cliq and sent it back 2 weeks later. Great camera and video.. Internet and screen was too wacked out so I ordered a white Mytouch. Camera is even lower than the G1 (DEEP DOWN , they are both 3.2 mp but the G1 is better) This phone rocks. I was afraid about the on screen keyboard and its great. I loved the G1 and this is even better. The touch screen is much better than most samsungs and maybe even the droid.. The internet is the hot spot for this

You must have a special version of the phone. It has a 3.2MP camera, *not* a 5MP. Big shortcoming, together with the lack of a flash (limited as those small ones are, they do service a purpose).

I highly suggest getting a gel skin to put on your phone. I have a black one on my merlot phone and it gives youa great grip on the phone..... I have never dropped it a single time and I've owned it a month already.

Yes, this camera is only 3.2mp and the same ram. However, it is faster because the flash ROM of 512 vs. 256. It is much more responsive with A LOT less force closes than the G1.

I just took a picture with it and it came with the same dimension size as my g1 pics came in. I also looked in settings and didn't see any way to increase file size. Maybe it was a last minute adjustment to stay with the 3.2 megapixel camera. For me it is not a big deal. To me there is little difference between 3.2 and 5 megapixel pictures and I didn't buy this thing for the camera capabilities.
