I am a gay EMT and the president of Marist College's LGSA. I have worked alongside EMTs from every stroke of life but not ONCE have I EVER seen ANYONE disregard their duty as a tech because of his or her patient's lifestyle. That is egregiously against the law and the calling to serve we all have.

It's rather disheartening that people say we shouldnt do this because its a "negative message". THIS IS REALITY. This is how it is. These are things that have happened and continue to happen. I guess we cant make people aware. We just have to sit and take it. What a world.

I think it's important to highlight people's negative experiences in a world that can still be very hostile to gays and lesbians. You make a good point, however - maybe we should do a follow-up relating people's positive experiences.

I cant relate to any of them personally either, but the father of my children is Gay. Im the mom who raised her kids to be accepting and loving of their father, becasue first of all, he was their father, and he loved them. It's rather disheartening that people say we shouldnt do this because its a "negative message". THIS IS REALITY. This is how it is. These are things that have happened and continue to happen. I guess we cant make people aware. We just have to sit and take it. What a world.

I think you should make two vids with these responses. While I respect your intentions to focus on the gay aspect of it, it seems pretty clear that you have struck a universal chord outside of that. Revenge of the Nerds is a great movie cuz we have all been nerds.

I think a lot of people are missing something here. These dialogues don't have to relate to you. We are doing a PSA commercial. We need actors and actresses to read these dialogues. Obviously someone who physically fits the dialogue is desired (male, female, couple, child). But the situation of the dialogue doesn't have to apply to you IRL. I mean come on, theres dialogue from dead people here! Thanks! =)

im sorry i cant relate to any of these lines. Members of my family including my mother (who i am so lucky to have because she almost lost custody because of being a lesbian) could relate though. i wish there was some way i could contribute!

I think it's important to highlight people's negative experiences in a world that can still be very hostile to gays and lesbians. You make a good point, however - maybe we should do a follow-up relating people's positive experiences.

The language I use would not be appropriate (you know how filthy I really am), but along with the slights and attacks and denials against us, our history includes a lot of fighting back. I need that part of our history or I can get very depressed.

I cant relate to any of them personally either, but the father of my children is Gay. Im the mom who raised her kids to be accepting and loving of their father, becasue first of all, he was their father, and he loved them. It spills over into, they are accepting of anyone becasue tolerance is just another word for grace.
