Well, as far as I can remember, the original Dracula WAS human-like. He did "pose" as a human in order to get his way sometimes. However, since then, they've been so over-represented in books and cinema they've been given too much back-story, too much character. They've been sexualised and romanticised. 30 Days definitely doesn't do that.
Just a little warning about posting posters on your vids, some companies are so greedy about their rights, you might find yourself being accused of copyright infringement and it'l be sad for us to see you gone on YouTube. oh and btw, the blur photoshop filter is applied everywhere nowadays, I gotta agree with you xD In fact, I use it all the time (not on my own photos, tho xD). Just because of that I'm gonna see Res Evil for the lulz. That comment just made me laugh 8D
I've seen a lot of films on the cinema lately, and Res Evil is the ONLY one that actually smoothed the skin of any of the actors. The problem with it is that it's so bloody obvious even when done well, so when it's done BADLY, it's just hilarious. Not just badly, either. Inconsistently. Could be a drinking game, to be honest. "take a shot every time they've photoshopped her face".

ehh and for Saw, I compeltely agree with you ;) I've just liked the first a little and especially the second but the 3rd...was really bad!!I almost fell asleep x) Disgusting things but no sensation when I've seen that x) not original at all
congratulations again for your movies, keep really cool and interesting :P
People in big towns as Paris (yeah, Paris XD) are like stressed ALL THE TIME!! When you come from countryside and you go there a weekend, all people "klaxonnent" in car, they even can't wait 1 sec -_- most of them are cold and seem sad! pff There is some exeptions anyway lol
That's why each time I see a people from another country of Europe, south America and others, I'm like crazy x) and really happy.
To me France is getting too industrial and nature isn't respected enough :( We see many supermarkets or similar things setting around towns whereas there is already enough -_- and that waste all :( is really awful...
I'm not saying it's everywhere like that x) luckyly there is the Alps, Brittany and some cool regions, but live in a country with so many people and which is getting so depressing with unnecessary fuckin industrial things -_-
Is that a new rating, I like it. And is putting the ratings list in the description box a first on the videos, I didn't know which brow meant what, now I do, very cool.
Heh, I forgot to do that for a few of them, but it's there in most of the descriptions. I do believe the description of it used to be "terrible" though. I just modified it to more accurately represent my intended meaning of the rating. ^_^
good point with saw4 , just what i was thinking too ... its abit like hostel , in hostel there was a story and tortuering...then in hostel2 there was only the tortuering... there wasnt even a story in hostel2 ... We just had to watch people getting tortuered lol , abit sick too :s
That's why I'm glad there are still films like 30 Days of Night and 1408 being made. 1408 might not be fantastic, but at least it's more than people being hurt in inventive ways.
once again, you're right on, and Moore is just becoming ridiculous with his over the top political bullying, he is right in his message but his creditabilty is becoming flawed, Saw4 is only a sign of a society jaded to extremities, and you're right, nudity helps, umm... sometimes.
Ha ha my day would have been better without having witnessed the last 2 seconds of this review but totally unrelated to that.. overall I review your reviews "Two raised eyebrows". Though I hated all the resident evil films with slightly more passion then you did and liked Sicko slightly more.
30 days of night is the best of the bunch. I recommend that movie. I liked the first Resident Evil movie but the third one is not very good. (The last second of the video was hilarious. You are truly the most unique and funny movie reviewer ever!)
Thanks a lot! I try to do my own thing and not get too hung up on what's expected of a reviewer, but it's not always easy. Some nudity always helps, though. ^_^
America's healthcare system IS f#cked up beyond belief. Take it from a healthcare worker who has seen both sides of the coin, who has seen these patients being thrown out on the streets... America's healthcare "system" or lack thereof, IS in fact hell, just as shown. No exaggeration there.
A friend of mine from America said that the depressing thing about Sicko is that even though the foreign countries are being treated MUCH too kindly, it's hard to actually exaggerate just how bad the American health care system is. Moore does manage it, though. The Anti-Moore site owner's wife, for example, was never denied care, even when they couldn't pay. So it's not ALL doom and gloom.
Key words, "The Anti-Moore site's wife" (states)... Nothing is ALL doom and gloom. Hitler was a great painter. Charlie Manson was evidently quite the musician. But it's still for CRAP! :)
Heheheh. I do see your point, I really do. But there's no doubt in my mind that if Moore had wanted to, he could have found enough sunshine stories to make a movie that said the opposite of what Sicko does now.
And you know this because you have lived in America with no insurance and/or studied the healthcare industry? What is your experience with America and/or healthcare in same? Try coming over here without insurance. We will bleed you dry!! :)
That is not to say that it would be more or even AS accurate as Sicko, it's just saying that I hardly believe there is not a single bright spot in the recent history of US health care. I do agree that the system is inherently flawed and fucked up, though. No doubt. The people who provide the sunshine are usually people who fight the system.
Honestly, I have worked in the industry in all facets for 15 years and I have ZERO sunshine stories to tell you. ASk any doctor or nurse in the U.S. OR citizen who has been ill with no insurance for that matter, or even WITH insurance... Insurance companies are criminals/putting doctors and hospitals out of business and killing people.
Oh I don't doubt that for one second. That system is so corrupt that... something witty. Anyway, we're basically agreed, but I'm the kind of guy who always has to look in every nook and cranny to find the little bits of beauty, because they're always there, depending on how hard you look.
Believe me, I do as well. When I go in tonight I'll try and find someone who isn't left to die because they cannot pay. But unless there is a miraculous intervention, won't happen. :) Maybe in the next 15+ years. ::G:: If you come to America, I'll give you the great grand tour of the hospital/ healthcare system and you can personally interview folks on their experiences. :) Every night I see people suffer because they are not well to do. :(
Yep yep. At least we (USUALLY!!::G::) have Magnulus videos to cheer our @sses up/keep us from running back to Canada or Ireland/ the UK! :O) (BTW...Moore is totally wrong about unions, however. Bunch of mafioso bastards...) But enough grandstanding. :) At least you gave Sicko one (albeit Norwegian) eyebrow. ::G::
By the way, the only place legally where healthcare providers are FORCED to provide care whether someone can pay or not is in an actual emergency room. One visit to the ER can bankrupt you. In CA, our trauma system is shutting down. You can only go to an ER for all your treatment if cannot afford cash upu front for a doctor/specialist. And ER services are ONLY and EXACTLY that. You have a serious illness and no ability to pay, yer done.
Thank you for asking...:::G::: :) Like every other civilized nation in the world, we need to have universal healthcare. Either that, or the insurance companies need to be reigned in but that's not likely to happen being that they are so deeply in the pockets of all of our politicians. Obama managed to get insurance companies in Illlinois to provide a plan for ALL UNINSURED CHILDREN. But it's likely only universal healthcare will work at this point. Insurance companies do not.
Heheheh, it's very heavy on the cheese, I'll admit that. It was no worse than the first one, though. Well, maybe a bit. It didn't have Michelle Rodriguez for one! ^_^
AHAHAHAHA!! The pirate hat at the end! How is the hat staying up Magnulus? ;] I do think the newpaper pirate hat is under-appreciated though... And thank you for introducing me to the term "Gorno" I've been looking for a way to verbalize my "appreciation" for the Saw movies (though like you, I appreciate the first one). Love you!
Well, the hat is open to interpretation. I'll let you decide yourself, which is always a good option, since people always assume the worst. ^_^ Thanks a lot!
Unedited? That sounds quite boring! NO editing?! Eww! ^_^ No, I haven't. I guess I should, then.
Yeah, well that's the kind of messy I meant. Legibly messy. Spawn was that way in its lin eart, but then it got TOO messy and detailed in the line art and was JUST messy. 30 Days looks messy in the colouring and that, and it looks great. I can't remember what it reminds me of right now, but it is SOMETHING! ^_^
Ow i see Alaska is why there is 30 days of night! Clever. Are the vampires like Dusk till dawn types? I think this is the one im more likely to go and watch.
I think you are picking up a few hints of a scotish accent sneeking in there!
Well, I'd recommend just going to IMDB and look at the pictures there. They don't have the stupid exaggerated facial features that Buffy and Dusk 'Till Dawn have, but they have a lot more pointy teeth than any other vampire design I've seen. They're just very visceral overall. I like 'em.
Holy crap. One of the best videos of this series. You always put yourself out there, love it. Anyways, I'll skip the horror films but I still need to watch Sicko. Btw, your Solomon reaction was funny, but I would never leave a movie mid-way no matter how bad it was. It seems like a waste of money to me. Take care.
Yeah, if I didn't have CineWorld's unlimited card and actually had to pay for each film, I wouldn't have left during the movie, but if I hadn't had that card, I wouldn't have SEEN most of the movies I review here. I will make many sacrifices in order to give you your reviews, but that was too much.
Thanks a lot, babe! I do try to make it interesting.
I pay 11 British Pounds (about 20 USDs these days, I suppose) a month for unlimited access, so I'm quite happy. ^_^ I've already more than had my money's worth of films as I've watched 45 films already, and for the entire pre-paid year to pay off, I would have had to watch 30. And that's after little more than two months! ^_^
That reaction is so embarrassing. I'm shaking and slurring my words, or maybe that's just the way I am? haha I haven't stepped into that realm of adding my videos to others where it's not directly answering to it. But I guess that's how I should network?
Well, my view is that I'll post an old video as a response if it feels relevant to the video I'm watching. It gives people a "youtube trail" to follow. Your video is still relevant to my video, so I really wouldn't mind at all.
Magnum when you gone start talking about movies.Looking forward

You know, about Milla Jovovich, I think they did that whole 'blurring' thing with her in Ultraviolet, as well...
Rather annoying how the only good view you can ever get of her face is when she's 15 meters away...

Oh I don't doubt that for one second. That system is so corrupt that... something witty. Anyway, we're basically agreed, but I'm the kind of guy who always has to look in every nook and cranny to find the little bits of beauty, because they're always there, depending on how hard you look.
Magnulus 4 years ago
Believe me, I do as well. When I go in tonight I'll try and find someone who isn't left to die because they cannot pay. But unless there is a miraculous intervention, won't happen. :) Maybe in the next 15+ years. ::G:: If you come to America, I'll give you the great grand tour of the hospital/ healthcare system and you can personally interview folks on their experiences. :) Every night I see people suffer because they are not well to do. :(
theresaruf 4 years ago
Well, be strong. Don't let the system break your spirit.
Magnulus 4 years ago
theresaruf 4 years ago
By the way, the only place legally where healthcare providers are FORCED to provide care whether someone can pay or not is in an actual emergency room. One visit to the ER can bankrupt you. In CA, our trauma system is shutting down. You can only go to an ER for all your treatment if cannot afford cash upu front for a doctor/specialist. And ER services are ONLY and EXACTLY that. You have a serious illness and no ability to pay, yer done.

not being a smart ass, but im curious to your answer. what do you think america could do to solve this problem?
lgfuad4lyf 4 years ago
Thank you for asking...:::G::: :) Like every other civilized nation in the world, we need to have universal healthcare. Either that, or the insurance companies need to be reigned in but that's not likely to happen being that they are so deeply in the pockets of all of our politicians. Obama managed to get insurance companies in Illlinois to provide a plan for ALL UNINSURED CHILDREN. But it's likely only universal healthcare will work at this point. Insurance companies do not.
theresaruf 4 years ago
Yeah, what resaruf said. I don't really know much about this...
Magnulus 4 years ago
I can't handle scary movies :(
And I have to believe you mean it that Brother's Solomon was bad, because you walked out of that and you sat ALL THE WAY THROUGH BRATZ.
hahaha
snotpokkit 4 years ago
Exactly! Bratz is incontrovertible proof that I don't bullshit!
Magnulus 4 years ago
resident evil 3 was horrible. the ending is what made me want to throw popcorn at the screen
lgfuad4lyf 4 years ago
Heheheh, it's very heavy on the cheese, I'll admit that. It was no worse than the first one, though. Well, maybe a bit. It didn't have Michelle Rodriguez for one! ^_^
Magnulus 4 years ago
lol yea. i honestly couldnt stop laughing in that movie, like that part when the guys lefft the man in the enclosed room with the zombies, halarious!
lgfuad4lyf 4 years ago
Heheheh, yeah. It's all good fun. ^_^
Magnulus 4 years ago
Love you!
ZenithXLT 4 years ago
Well, the hat is open to interpretation. I'll let you decide yourself, which is always a good option, since people always assume the worst. ^_^ Thanks a lot!
Magnulus 4 years ago
Thanks for warning me about saw 4.
this was awesome to watch btw. I really liked it!

You're welcome! I endure these things so you don't have to! ^_^

You are a natural at movie reviews I like your style. You are also very funny.
xmrbojanglesx 4 years ago
Glad you think so! Thanks a lot! ^_^
I hope I'll be able to keep making them, but I'm starting to feel the burn after reviewing 45 films.
Magnulus 4 years ago
30 Days of Night wasn't bad, but the vampires in the comic were more fleshed out so I felt that was one thing lacking in it.
bobomcgraw 4 years ago
I'm really looking forward to the comic. The art looks awesome. Really gritty and messy. Just the way I like it.
Magnulus 4 years ago
Templesmith's art is awesome. It looks messy but it really isn't, you can still make out everyone in perfect clarity.
You may want to read on in the series after that, I'm waiting for my local comic store to get the third collection in.
Also, Ben Foster is made of win.
PS. Have you seen the new trailer for AvP Requiem?
The unedited one I mean.
bobomcgraw 4 years ago
Magnulus 4 years ago
Unedited... er, uncensored?
bobomcgraw 4 years ago
*applauds* ^_^
Magnulus 4 years ago
Ooh, aren't we all sarcastic like?!
Anyhoo, AvP Requiem, looks bloody.
bobomcgraw 4 years ago
Bloody can be quite good. Have you ever played God of War? Maaaaan, that is an awesome game. It just makes me all warm inside. ^_^
I'll check out the AVP trailer at some point.
Magnulus 4 years ago
People keep recommending it but my Playstation is a 3 hour bus ride away.
bobomcgraw 4 years ago
Wait was that hat first on your head or...
^_^ Leave it - I don't really want to know...
nonigold 4 years ago
Hmmm... Now that IS an interesting question! ^_^
Magnulus 4 years ago
You get extra points for the pirate hat!!
Ow i see Alaska is why there is 30 days of night! Clever. Are the vampires like Dusk till dawn types? I think this is the one im more likely to go and watch.
I think you are picking up a few hints of a scotish accent sneeking in there!
Lol u love to flash :P
ravenlillysoa 4 years ago
Heheh, yeah I cerainly do. ^_^
Well, I'd recommend just going to IMDB and look at the pictures there. They don't have the stupid exaggerated facial features that Buffy and Dusk 'Till Dawn have, but they have a lot more pointy teeth than any other vampire design I've seen. They're just very visceral overall. I like 'em.
ARRRR!!!
Magnulus 4 years ago
haha I KNEW there was going to be nakedness!!
30 days sounds like a cool film. I'll have to check it out

Heheh, just you wait 'till JackyBoyz sees this one. He's going to blow his top completely! ^_^

Magnulus 4 years ago
Holy crap. One of the best videos of this series. You always put yourself out there, love it. Anyways, I'll skip the horror films but I still need to watch Sicko. Btw, your Solomon reaction was funny, but I would never leave a movie mid-way no matter how bad it was. It seems like a waste of money to me. Take care.
jabazzy 4 years ago
Yeah, if I didn't have CineWorld's unlimited card and actually had to pay for each film, I wouldn't have left during the movie, but if I hadn't had that card, I wouldn't have SEEN most of the movies I review here. I will make many sacrifices in order to give you your reviews, but that was too much.
Thanks a lot, babe! I do try to make it interesting.
Magnulus 4 years ago
Is that unlimited card expensive or free with your schooling?
And do you wear glasses from all that youtubing and movie watching? haha
jabazzy 4 years ago
I pay 11 British Pounds (about 20 USDs these days, I suppose) a month for unlimited access, so I'm quite happy. ^_^ I've already more than had my money's worth of films as I've watched 45 films already, and for the entire pre-paid year to pay off, I would have had to watch 30. And that's after little more than two months! ^_^
Magnulus 4 years ago
wow wow. One movie here costs almost 10 dollars. You really are getting your money's worth. I'm freaking jealous!
jabazzy 4 years ago
Oh! By the way! Feel free to add your Saw 4 trailer reaction as a response to this vid. I think it fits very nicely.
Magnulus 4 years ago
That reaction is so embarrassing. I'm shaking and slurring my words, or maybe that's just the way I am? haha I haven't stepped into that realm of adding my videos to others where it's not directly answering to it. But I guess that's how I should network?
jabazzy 4 years ago
Well, my view is that I'll post an old video as a response if it feels relevant to the video I'm watching. It gives people a "youtube trail" to follow. Your video is still relevant to my video, so I really wouldn't mind at all.
Magnulus 4 years ago
We'll see ;)
