in Beijing they are on all lines, except Lines 1, 2 and 13. But it's necessary. The Subway there is often overcrowded and the Chinese can be very rude when getting on or off the train.

I read that the MTA is planning to put those doors on stations along the 2nd Avenue Subway. Hope not. Those doors are a mistake.
