there is a really cool round for 9mm .. Ruag - Seca, its FMJ but middle of bullet has a coper cup which will depress in to the bullet under the impact and it will expand the bullet. if you have 9mm check it out :) (if you fear possible troubles with hollow points)
I've never had a hollow point jam on me in a Glock. I have a couple Glocks and to be honest I've never ever had any of them jam period. I am a 1911 guy, and yes they tend to jam with hollow points because they have a two piece feed ramp and throat, but the Glock doesn't, hence why they dont jam with hollow points.
Hollow points are VERY reliable in the Glocks as is almost anything you keep in there. You are much more likely to have a reliability issue mixing ammo.
I think Glocks are GREAT guns, but not as a concealed (as least during spring/summer (light clothing)). Too width is too thick (.40 S&W+), my opinion. I mean it could vary depending how big you are and how you dress.
But concealed to me, is CONCEALED, not the slightest indication.

nice video. I understand your opinion about fmj's in your magazines but disagree with it. I know it's expensive but buy a good quality hollow point and put at least 200rds through your gun with it before you carry them. fmj is waisted energy spent beyond your target. I want that energy spent in the target.
@stone4451 For sure, matter of fact I keep a armscores in my living room on the end table cocked and locked. 1911 pistols have proven themself over the decades to be reliable and I can hit good with mine. As far as carrying goes I prefer to carry something lighter but if the weight does not bother you then you can't go wrong with a 1911.
@matt78tv Cool thanks! I just bought a 1911 with the 3 inch barrel. It is a little heavy.... beautiful guns though! i might attement a video to show it haha who knows.
You can fill those glocks full of hollow points, they'll be fine. Full metal jacket over penetrates and does little tissue damage ask any Marine or soldier who has shot someone with their pistol in Iraq. You should have one primary handgun and a backup. Don't mix and match, train with the same gun(s) repetatively they're not a fashion statement.
@sgtbland You are right. I've been running a few hollow points through my G27 and they feed perfectly fine. Another good thing about them is I'm using 165 grain HPs and the lighter bullet weight makes the overall weight of my pistol much more comfortable to carry in my pocket.
@sgtbland lol primary handgun and back up? what ever happened to rifle and handgun for a side arm? i think a solder should have a hand gun for back up if his rifle jams, a civilan should have one for self defence but you dont need 2 handguns unless your cho seung hui

That's really not the point of the video. It's about guns, not killing... but yeah, it should never be about killing. that's not what any of us want here, dumbass.
@stone4451 Someone is threatening the lives of my loved ones, or myself, and I'm going to lay them down where they stand. What the fuck is there to dispute about that?
Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I too carry a J-frame Smith in 357(649) and prefer it to my Sig 226 .40 when it comes to concealed carry. The Sig is nice on the hip but nothing tucks like the J frame and IMHO the 38+P or 357 has plenty of power to stop an aggressor.
i agree the glocks are awesome for carry,,but the little revolver,,,i do not care for,soo still second pull triggger unless cocked,,and too small to be very accurate past a short distance.....i know,i had a s&w airlight 38+p....nice,but more of a "belly gun"
I've carried a kel-tec .380 for years and still 24/7. I now carry a pt145 also, which is easily concealable, 45ACP, and has a 10 round mag. It will even cycle 45GAP, but not recommended. Very inexpensive and so far 100% reliable with every type of ammo I've tried. I have more expensive guns, glocks, etc, but for me the little taurus in 45acp is the one I pick up when walking out the door. Anything is better than nothing, but for me, nothing is better than the 45acp. IMHO.
Not trying to sling mud but, you should only use FMJ if thats the ONLY thing your gun will feed reliably. being these are Glocks, hollow points should feed just fine. best thing to do is get a box or two and run them through your gun. FMJ are not adequate man stoppers, the only reason military use them is cause of NATO regulations. good vid though
this may be some of the dumbest shit i have ever heard and i hope no one listen to youre recomendations at all!!!!!!!!!!!! especially if they are new to concealed carry! why would you even attemt to conceal a 22 i just dont get it but to each their own i suppose. but i agree with nothing that comes outa youre mouth buddy...... no offense dont take this the wrong way!! but some guns are made for duty/home defense and some are made for concealed carry, and these days they have some better options!
@ixVENGEFULxi your entire argument is "yer dum cuz uh yer dumm", making you the idiot. Please shut up until you can string words together into a meaningful sentence which has a factual basis. Also, just throw some punctuation in there randomlly...beats WTF you have going on above. Lastly, don't take my post the wrong way.
@kenfo0 i forgot i left this comment, i just want to say sorry brother i was havin a bad day i was pissy and i just went off my bad brother really not like me. os again sorry bout bein a dick buddy hope ya can forgive me :)
@ixVENGEFULxi i don't hold grudges, especially over words. the fact you returned and apologized speaks volumes about character, which is sorely lacking today. Best wishes.
@ricosuaveG i know man, what a dick i was.. was havin a bad day and toook it out on this guy for some reason. i felt bad afterwards but what can ya do, just say sorry and try not to do it again... but you are right i made myself look like a total douche bag!
@bear022013 yeah buddy go back and read the comments you can see that i have apologized to the man!!! so why are you comin on here like a dick and comenting on something that has nothing too do with you boy..
@bear022013 your fuckin retarded ..lol i hope this is someone playin around because if not i feel sorry for you. you are a de-evolution in the human species, and for the sake of mankind i hope nature doesn't allow you to reproduce. btw it is spelled punk. and is that here as in location or hear as in sound/listening .... poor poor soul you are! that's enough from both of us i think. i was a dick to this fella then apologized then you came out of left field startin shit. give it up i have
@ixVENGEFULxi I was advised to not carry a Glock because it was impossible to conceal. I carry a Glock 23 gen 4 wo any problems at all. It is actually quite comfortable to carry, and as far a reliability goes, good luck finding a pistol that performs better. I think the 22 is a little too big, but a 23 or 27 are great carry options and a lot of people agree.
@ixVENGEFULxi I know lots of guys who leave a "big" gun in their car and carry a pocket 22lr when they want to be more comfortable, like in a movie. phoenix arms hp22 seems to be the most popular. I'm considering this method.
Believe it or not, the snub nose revolver is actually the best choice. Remember, it's not who has the biggest gun but rather who fires the first shot. I carry a S&W JFrame revolver. Why? I can draw it faster than any other gun.
@davk0613 I must correct you. It is clearly NOT who fires the first shot, but who has the first debilitating hit. Also, if you carry a small hammerless pistol in your pocket, you don't even have to draw...much faster. Carry on.
@kenfo0 I must correct you, 90% of all concealed carry altercations happen within 6ft so yes it is who fires the first shot which at that distance would result in a debiliating hit.
i carry a glock 33 .or a kimber ultra carry and a sr9..depends on the days cold i carry the 33 for more penetration which is a 357 sig... and i allways carry a lcp in my right pocket unless im in the shower
@whatsmyname252 Yeah, the shower is when you are most vulnerable and I have taken this into consideration by placing a sharp katana and S&W tactical folder in my shower hanging above my shampoo.
you guys ever see what a fmj bullet does to a person? it ricochets, and a .45 fmj can take a friggin arm off, hollow points are too nice for my taste.
@slackattack74 wrong. fmj typically goes straight through out the other side and into something else. Police carry JHP for two reasons: "knockdown" power and keeping the bullet in the perp, not going through into gen. pop. The goal is always maximum energy transfer into intended target.
I disagree with your comment about FMJ if your carrying a gun and have to use it, FMJ rounds will go through your target and could hit someone behind them, If you use hollowpoint rounds, energy is transferred into your target more, = more stopping power and reduced risk of going through and possibly hitting something else
i love how people relay shitty information that they heard from some random dickhead from the range or gun store. JHP less reliable feeding? gullible isnt in the dictionary either
Using FMJ increases the chance of colateral damage , JHP were designed with the intention of delivering all the kinetic energy to your intended target and not an unintented target behind your actual target as would hapen with FMJs
It's just my 2 cents , but IMHO you should never use FMJ for self defense , they serve a better purpose at the range for improving your accuracy.
if you are worried about the JHP rounds not feeding properly, I for one will say I have never had any problems and I think they should feed fine, however, if you are real concerned about this, Federal Ammunition just came out with an Expanding Full metal Jacket (EFMJ) expands just like a hollow point, and it has for the most part a very similar structure as a FMJ. Perhaps a little different, but check em out.
i like your selection but i must argue the point about reliability of feeding with FMJ vs HP. if you're so concerned about a feed jam, why are you using a semi-wadcutter style FMJ? You should be using a round ball style FMJ. Also glocks have looser tolerences so a feed jam is relitively low, no matter what style ammo you use. I usually carry a G17 and sometimes the G22. I have fired 1000's of rounds of HP with no issues.
I know this is your personal opinion but your comment about FMJ feeding more reliably then JHP in Glocks has no bearing. I've owned a 22C since early 2005 and have put well over 10,000+ rounds through it all being JHP (as that is what the police academy and police departments around here require) and have never had a jam, stove pipe, or any other malfunction. Snow, rain, dirt, mud, dirty, or clean.
If you feel more comfortable shooting FMJ then more power to you, by all means do so.
@inspector13jjf Well, you are the 1st to give me actual number for how many HP rds you've put through your gun so maybe I worry for nothing about using HP's. Actually, I've been carrying HP rds in my glock 27 since they are like 165 grain bullet instead of 180 grain like the fmj which makes the gun somewhat lighter in my pocket. Thanks for viewing and thanks for some real numbers.
@matt78tv Not a problem. But like I said if there is any doubt in your head it will make you hesitant in a dire situation.
Also I full on agree with you that the G22 is a great carry gun. It's one gun I will never get rid of. It has treated me super well and is much like a faithful close friend to me. Thanks for the video.
@matt78tv Also if you do have worries about it not feeding correclty, there are some good manufacturers that make hollow points with a jacketed around it [jacketed hollow point] For example the Hornady Critical defense Ammo, has a [i forget the material], I think its silicone? or what not covering the "hole" of the hollowpoint, which does not hinder its stopping power/damage potential. It was actually made to stop denim etc from entering in. Just some food for thought
@matt78tv what about the over penetration factor of FMJ bullets? i know its possible with JHP as well but wouldn't there be more of a chance of harming an innocent person if using FMJ?
@matt78tv I ran more than 5k home load high pressure 147gr JHP rounds through a Glock M17 with no feed issues, or any other issues whatsoever. Not even any meaningful wear. I tried to get a feed malfunction one day. Weak hand + purposefully weak grip = stovepipe jam. I would be concerned with over-penetration with FMJ. Only reason I can think of is if you plan to shoot at someone through a car door, house door, etc. One should try their own pistol w/carry ammo to check for mis-feed danger.
Your idea about Glocks not liking JHP ammo is dead wrong. Load the whole mag with JHP,,,you cannot fool a Glock. It will fire anything chambered for the gun.
You should test shoot hollow points in your guns so you know they will shoot reliably. FMJ rounds are dangerous because of over penetration. I would not carry a weapon that did not reliably feed HPs. You cannot go wrong with the .40 S&W - unless you carry FMJ. Choose a good hollow point and stick with it. Leave the ball for practice.
If you want to ease up on the tension on ur fobus take sum sandpaper ( a pretty rough piece) and sand down both ends of the tigger gaurd on the holster not the gun, thats what i did and it works great . But it is a lot of sanding..........
Thanks for making the video Matt. I have a S&W 637 Powerport for CHL and a Browning (P-35) Hi-Power for home defense and share your support of the small revolver CHL. The gun you carry always is always the best gun to have.
@jsh1284 I will agree with you on your third point though. There is absolutely no reason to avoid loading all JHP, or all FMJ ammunition. Ive owned and fired everything from a sig mosquito .22LR, to 1911's, glocks, and just about any other quality pistol you can name and Ive never had anymore issues with feeding JHP's than Ive ad with FMJ's. It all comes down to the shooter and the kind of shooting they are going to encounter!
@jsh1284 Cont., When HP bullets strike solid objects they tend to fragment and do not penetrate well if at all, giving the FMJ round better performance if you are dealing with body armor and or a barricaded subject. Here are my credentials: State of WI police academy student(firearm certified), Seargent in the US Army, hardcore firearms enthusiast, in an average week I put over 1000 rounds downrange. Please do your research before you play expert. I am in no way an expert but Im on my way.
@jsh1284 I just love it when idiots spout off about how everyone else is misleading, when they havent gotten the facts themselves. First of all, bullets arent cars, and therefore the force they impose is not measured in foot pounds of torque. A bullets energy dispersion is measured by a combination of bullet weight and terminal velocity. Second of all the target varies. A hollow point is designed to work ONLY when the tip becomes hydrolocked by the high water content of flesh.
glocks will shoot jhp and fmj just fine..u have a good gun...if u had a cheap gun then what u said would apply...heck my kel tec p3at feeds hollow points just fine.
@jsh1284 no im in the military...the reason the military doesn't use hollow points its against Geneva conventions law...its "unnecessary suffering" in their book. Besides we are more likely to encounter body armor which jhp wont affect...and besides that we all mostly use m16s or m4s. cost has nothing to do wit it.
Just fyi sir, I can tell you that Law Enforcement all over the USA carry Hollw points. If you buy quality ammo,i.e: Speer Gold Dot, Hornaday,Winchester LE, Federal LE. These are all substantially more than a standard package FMJ round. I assure you the hollow point will create more trauma to the assaillant than an FMJ. Just factual info. for you sir not criticism. Thank you for the video
If Glocks didn't cycle HPs I wouldn't carry them and use them exclusive to all other handguns. You should try IWB on the baby Glock. I carry a 19 IWB in the summer and OWB in the winter.
Your crazy to use ball ammo. Glocks are made to cycle hollow points. shooting ball ammo for defense is wreckless and dumb. ever hear of over penetration?
@Letsmakeasamich Never jammed but I have to say the military don't use hp's for a reason and the reason being they are more apt to jam no matter the quality of the weapon. My favorite hollow points are the hornady critical defense rds and I do keep those rds in my 9mm glock because they have such a sharp cone but I've not seen the cone of the 40 cal yet.
I don't think that's why the military doesn't use HP, it has something to do with Nato policy, I don't know all the details, but I'm pretty sure glocks run fine on HPs
@matt78tv The reason the military does not use hollowpoints is because they are against the Geneva Convention, not because of reliability issues. Were it not for that restriction, all handgun ammo the military used would be JHP.
@matt78tv Thats not why the military does not use HP's... The Hague Convention prohibits the use of them, well those nations who are members of NATO, which the United States is.
Actually the military doesn't use hollow points because it's against the Geneva Convention. I don't know WHY it's in the Geneva Convention, but it is.
@matt78tv You're right, the military doesn't use hollow points for a reason. However, you're wrong about the reason. The reason is that hollow-point ammunition is banned by the Hague Convention.
@matt78tv You are an idiot. The military doesnt use hollowpoints because of NATO agreements and hollowpoints dont penetrate armor as well. So you need to get your stuff figured out before you talk like you know it all. Just so you know .40 cal was a kneejerk reaction to the 9mm being an insufficient round. You want someone to crumple in a heap buy a .45 or a .357 sig. I'm tired of watching people who know nothing lie to people about what should be used. You want the truth, message me.
@silverado1590 You are just brainwashed. What has happened to common sense? The hollow point gimmick has worked on you sir. I hate to inform you that just because they look meaner don't mean they are better. Actually clothing clogs up the hp rd anyway therefore making it more like a fmj rd. .45 is too slow and .357 sig is just too fast, talk about over penetrating. The .40 is in the goldilocks zone with just the right amount of mass and velocity making it the best round.
@matt78tv Ok sir... I have seen first hand how to two rounds I listed work. Also why would our fine special forces gentlemen carry JHP instead of FMJ??? Seems to me our best would carry the best. I happen to know a few people in SF units such as MARSOC. Go on and bash .357 sig. Too fast?? My question to you sir... Poke holes or leave incredibly massive wound cavitys? I happen to own a sig p226 9x19. I have shot many +p jhp rnds through it. Never a FTF. Go f#$% yourself, you f#$%ing child.
@silverado1590 I don't care who carries hp's that don't make them better. Who's to say the SF who have lost their lives was not due to a jam? Simple common sense that a round ball will feed better no matter how reliable a certain HP is the FMJ is always going to be more reliable.
You are sad..do u not have any self preservation?tell ya what when none of the bad guys have guns I'll consider not packing...but for some reason I don't think that will happen..I pray that trouble never finds you
It just amazes me how people are so against the right to keep and bear arms. All I know is no matter how much of a gun hater someone may be, if they were to find themselves in the process of becoming the victim of violent crime with no adequate means of defending themselves, it would unfortunately be way too late to re-think their position on the matter.
Law enforcement typically shows up *after* the damage has been done. You can't rely on them to protect you 24/7.
@rcarp711 Firearms give an advantage and level the playing field against an intruder or attacker. 90% of the time police will be too late to assist you. I agree with you. Keep our right to bear arms! And if they take it away, we will be like pawns in a chess game. Fuck anti gun people(sheep).
You should NEVER mix loads in a defense pistol. They will pattern differently, and will get you in a whole mess of legal trouble if you ever actually do shoot someone. That's a total rookie mistake, ask any cop if you don't believe me. Besides, Glock pistols are famous for feeding any ammo you put in them with no trouble. That's one reason why over 50% of all law enforcement agencies in the US use them as duty pistols.
I agree. For someone who really likes Glocks, this may be a good review. Personally, I find Glocks too bulky for concealed carry. Sure they're dependable, but it's not like there aren't any other dependable brands on the market.
americans are so lucky to be able to buy guns legally, here in the uk we cant just 'buy a gun' the only gun we can get is a hunting rifle and anyway i think that if they sold handguns some chav (english gangsta wannabe's) will go around shooting everyone.
Lol what do you think? There is no mention of other guns, but there are tons of options out there. It will always come down to personal preference. That being said, all these guns are great choices in firearms, but carrying in those outside waistband holsters isn't true concealed carry.
If memory serves it's a model 342. It is the titanium version which weighs less than 12 ounces. I keep the aluminum blazer 38+p rds in it because those a lightweight shells. I really like the centinnial version too because there is no hammer to get in the way and I like it better than a bodyguard too because a piece of lint or anything can cause a bodyguard to hang. I got the grips at a gunshop a few years ago.

i agree the glocks are awesome for carry,,but the little revolver,,,i do not care for,soo still second pull triggger unless cocked,,and too small to be very accurate past a short distance.....i know,i had a s&w airlight 38+p....nice,but more of a "belly gun"

Believe it or not, the snub nose revolver is actually the best choice. Remember, it's not who has the biggest gun but rather who fires the first shot. I carry a S&W JFrame revolver. Why? I can draw it faster than any other gun.
davk0613 1 year ago
@davk0613 I must correct you. It is clearly NOT who fires the first shot, but who has the first debilitating hit. Also, if you carry a small hammerless pistol in your pocket, you don't even have to draw...much faster. Carry on.
kenfo0 1 year ago
@kenfo0 I must correct you, 90% of all concealed carry altercations happen within 6ft so yes it is who fires the first shot which at that distance would result in a debiliating hit.

you guys ever see what a fmj bullet does to a person? it ricochets, and a .45 fmj can take a friggin arm off, hollow points are too nice for my taste.
slackattack74 1 year ago
@slackattack74 wrong. fmj typically goes straight through out the other side and into something else. Police carry JHP for two reasons: "knockdown" power and keeping the bullet in the perp, not going through into gen. pop. The goal is always maximum energy transfer into intended target.
kenfo0 1 year ago
I disagree with your comment about FMJ if your carrying a gun and have to use it, FMJ rounds will go through your target and could hit someone behind them, If you use hollowpoint rounds, energy is transferred into your target more, = more stopping power and reduced risk of going through and possibly hitting something else
Smacky52 1 year ago 7
i love how people relay shitty information that they heard from some random dickhead from the range or gun store. JHP less reliable feeding? gullible isnt in the dictionary either
joeratti 1 year ago
Using FMJ increases the chance of colateral damage , JHP were designed with the intention of delivering all the kinetic energy to your intended target and not an unintented target behind your actual target as would hapen with FMJs
It's just my 2 cents , but IMHO you should never use FMJ for self defense , they serve a better purpose at the range for improving your accuracy.
Again just my 2 cents.
omegaken 1 year ago
rule of thumb, NEVER use fmj for self defense. unless you want to hit the person behind your attacker!

if you are worried about the JHP rounds not feeding properly, I for one will say I have never had any problems and I think they should feed fine, however, if you are real concerned about this, Federal Ammunition just came out with an Expanding Full metal Jacket (EFMJ) expands just like a hollow point, and it has for the most part a very similar structure as a FMJ. Perhaps a little different, but check em out.
ABorell12 1 year ago
i like your selection but i must argue the point about reliability of feeding with FMJ vs HP. if you're so concerned about a feed jam, why are you using a semi-wadcutter style FMJ? You should be using a round ball style FMJ. Also glocks have looser tolerences so a feed jam is relitively low, no matter what style ammo you use. I usually carry a G17 and sometimes the G22. I have fired 1000's of rounds of HP with no issues.
captainkaos131313 1 year ago
I know this is your personal opinion but your comment about FMJ feeding more reliably then JHP in Glocks has no bearing. I've owned a 22C since early 2005 and have put well over 10,000+ rounds through it all being JHP (as that is what the police academy and police departments around here require) and have never had a jam, stove pipe, or any other malfunction. Snow, rain, dirt, mud, dirty, or clean.
If you feel more comfortable shooting FMJ then more power to you, by all means do so.
inspector13jjf 1 year ago 17
@inspector13jjf Well, you are the 1st to give me actual number for how many HP rds you've put through your gun so maybe I worry for nothing about using HP's. Actually, I've been carrying HP rds in my glock 27 since they are like 165 grain bullet instead of 180 grain like the fmj which makes the gun somewhat lighter in my pocket. Thanks for viewing and thanks for some real numbers.
matt78tv 1 year ago 2
@matt78tv Not a problem. But like I said if there is any doubt in your head it will make you hesitant in a dire situation.
Also I full on agree with you that the G22 is a great carry gun. It's one gun I will never get rid of. It has treated me super well and is much like a faithful close friend to me. Thanks for the video.
inspector13jjf 1 year ago
@matt78tv Also if you do have worries about it not feeding correclty, there are some good manufacturers that make hollow points with a jacketed around it [jacketed hollow point] For example the Hornady Critical defense Ammo, has a [i forget the material], I think its silicone? or what not covering the "hole" of the hollowpoint, which does not hinder its stopping power/damage potential. It was actually made to stop denim etc from entering in. Just some food for thought
jeffjuice3886 1 year ago
@matt78tv what about the over penetration factor of FMJ bullets? i know its possible with JHP as well but wouldn't there be more of a chance of harming an innocent person if using FMJ?
richslayerbc08 1 year ago
@matt78tv I ran more than 5k home load high pressure 147gr JHP rounds through a Glock M17 with no feed issues, or any other issues whatsoever. Not even any meaningful wear. I tried to get a feed malfunction one day. Weak hand + purposefully weak grip = stovepipe jam. I would be concerned with over-penetration with FMJ. Only reason I can think of is if you plan to shoot at someone through a car door, house door, etc. One should try their own pistol w/carry ammo to check for mis-feed danger.
kenfo0 1 year ago
Your idea about Glocks not liking JHP ammo is dead wrong. Load the whole mag with JHP,,,you cannot fool a Glock. It will fire anything chambered for the gun.
zigzagg321321 1 year ago
How about you girls stop arguing and buy some Pow-R-Ball ammo, feeds like a ball round, is a hot load, and expands very reliably :)

pjicleanair420 1 year ago
You should test shoot hollow points in your guns so you know they will shoot reliably. FMJ rounds are dangerous because of over penetration. I would not carry a weapon that did not reliably feed HPs. You cannot go wrong with the .40 S&W - unless you carry FMJ. Choose a good hollow point and stick with it. Leave the ball for practice.

It all comes down to the shooter and the kind of shooting they are going to encounter!
subiedude07 1 year ago
@jsh1284 Cont., When HP bullets strike solid objects they tend to fragment and do not penetrate well if at all, giving the FMJ round better performance if you are dealing with body armor and or a barricaded subject. Here are my credentials: State of WI police academy student(firearm certified), Seargent in the US Army, hardcore firearms enthusiast, in an average week I put over 1000 rounds downrange. Please do your research before you play expert. I am in no way an expert but Im on my way.
subiedude07 1 year ago
@jsh1284 I just love it when idiots spout off about how everyone else is misleading, when they havent gotten the facts themselves. First of all, bullets arent cars, and therefore the force they impose is not measured in foot pounds of torque. A bullets energy dispersion is measured by a combination of bullet weight and terminal velocity. Second of all the target varies. A hollow point is designed to work ONLY when the tip becomes hydrolocked by the high water content of flesh.
subiedude07 1 year ago
glocks will shoot jhp and fmj just fine..u have a good gun...if u had a cheap gun then what u said would apply...heck my kel tec p3at feeds hollow points just fine.
antwan17 1 year ago
@jsh1284 no im in the military...the reason the military doesn't use hollow points its against Geneva conventions law...its "unnecessary suffering" in their book. Letsmakeasamich 1 year ago
@Letsmakeasamich Never jammed but I have to say the military don't use hp's for a reason and the reason being they are more apt to jam no matter the quality of the weapon. My favorite hollow points are the hornady critical defense rds and I do keep those rds in my 9mm glock because they have such a sharp cone but I've not seen the cone of the 40 cal yet.
matt78tv 1 year ago
Most .40 cal hp's are sharp because the .40 was designed to be truncated and in most quality handguns they function like a hardball, very smooth.

gaylordperrycheats 1 year ago
@matt78tv You are an idiot. The military doesnt use hollowpoints because of NATO agreements and hollowpoints dont penetrate armor as well. So you need to get your stuff figured out before you talk like you know it all. Just so you know .40 cal was a kneejerk reaction to the 9mm being an insufficient round. You want someone to crumple in a heap buy a .45 or a .357 sig. I'm tired of watching people who know nothing lie to people about what should be used. You want the truth, message me.
silverado1590 1 year ago 2
@silverado1590 You are just brainwashed. What has happened to common sense? The hollow point gimmick has worked on you sir. I hate to inform you that just because they look meaner don't mean they are better. Actually clothing clogs up the hp rd anyway therefore making it more like a fmj rd. .45 is too slow and .357 sig is just too fast, talk about over penetrating. The .40 is in the goldilocks zone with just the right amount of mass and velocity making it the best round.
matt78tv 1 year ago
@matt78tv Ok sir... I have seen first hand how to two rounds I listed work. Also why would our fine special forces gentlemen carry JHP instead of FMJ??? Seems to me our best would carry the best. I happen to know a few people in SF units such as MARSOC. Go on and bash .357 sig. Too fast?? My question to you sir... Poke holes or leave incredibly massive wound cavitys? I happen to own a sig p226 9x19. I have shot many +p jhp rnds through it. Never a FTF. Go f#$% yourself, you f#$%ing child.
silverado1590 1 year ago
@silverado1590 I don't care who carries hp's that don't make them better. Who's to say the SF who have lost their lives was not due to a jam? Simple common sense that a round ball will feed better no matter how reliable a certain HP is the FMJ is always going to be more reliable.

You can't rely on them to protect you 24/7.
rcarp711 2 years ago
@rcarp711 Firearms give an advantage and level the playing field against an intruder or attacker. 90% of the time police will be too late to assist you. I agree with you. Keep our right to bear arms! And if they take it away, we will be like pawns in a chess game. Fuck anti gun people(sheep).
The870Express 1 year ago
You should NEVER mix loads in a defense pistol. They will pattern differently, and will get you in a whole mess of legal trouble if you ever actually do shoot someone. That's a total rookie mistake, ask any cop if you don't believe me. Besides, Glock pistols are famous for feeding any ammo you put in them with no trouble. That's one reason why over 50% of all law enforcement agencies in the US use them as duty pistols.
