Nice Video! I hope I can pass the tests to become a pj! Why are you carrying barrels aroung 2:30? Is it to train for when your carrying someone or a lot of supplies? Again, nice video.

The barrel  is to represent equipment i beleive. Theres times youll have to lower your excess weight on a rope to maintain control, Ive usually seen it done once they get closer to landing.

its a atraining its fulled with heavy stuf.. that barrel can be like 40 punds so its to train how it is to jump when your full armed

im doing air force rotc at cu to be a pilot but if i dont get the ticket im doing para rescue or combat control, so can you enter that mos as an officer or do you have to enter as enlisted? thanks

CU being Colorado University? I'm at the Academy right now. My dad's in charge of the STO selection course where you can become a combat controller or a PJ as an officer. So yes you can.

Depends what you want. If you want to be the team leader and then desk job after 5 years max then got o college first. If you wanna actually do your job for at least 10 years then be a PJ first.

my mother said i should go in the air force after high school it sounds good but i mite want to go to college and do rotc but then my family dont have that much money for college i dont know what to do if someone give me some advice that would help alot

My parents say the exact opposite. They want me to go to college. Don't let your parents or girlfriend or anybody get in the way of what you truly want to do. You only got one-shot at life, make the best of it.

i would say go for it man. or you could look into the Air national guard thats what im doing i leave in may. its a pretty good deal they'll pay for most of your school and you can be in the air force. but do what you really want to do cause you might regret it if you dont

do 4 years in any branch pref a challengeing MOS after 4 years if you like it go to college and become a mustang

I wanna go AF or marines for sure but after college or before college is a killer question enlisted is kind of an ass job unless you do something like this from what I hear but at the same time if you can get a rotc scholarship i would take that fo sho!!

personally im workin on goin the USAFA or possibly ROTC route gotta a year to see where i am. good luck

Hey, I'm a skydiving noob, so please forgive me, but what is the large oil barrel they use around 2:25 to 2:30? is that to stabilize them, or to prepare them for heavy weights?

not to stabalize them, the drogue does that. the barrel is to simulate heavy weight. the barrel can weigh an amazing amount of weight..up to 500lbs. in a real world scenerio they can tandem an ATV, a crate full of ammo, or whatever. just another way of insertion

i've been here at the 342d for a good while now, i did 5 weeks of indoc and when they handed me a medical sheet i knew i didn't want to be a medical special operator so now i'm TACP, i go to florida for TACP pipeline soon, the class starts sept. 6th, i got lots of info about indoc though i went through everything they do except ditch&dons
