He just arrived from abroad right? The immigration officers (both abroad and in the Philippines) acknowledged that the person holding the passport as well as the person pictured in that passport was Mr. Fajardo. Immigration officer needs training again.
Mr. Fernandez was simply aware at that time of the importance of a passport as a valid ID. It was not his fault though. DFP have taught them that passports can be accepted as ID's., Mr. Fernandez only following the SOP of the credit card policy that always have a signatures of the card holders. To avoid forgery.

Yes, I agree that this should be settled in court. In my opinion, it is the only way Mr. Fajardo can regain what he has lost. He should not in any way approve or offer any monetary settlement/s with Mr. Fernandez. And as I have said before, Mr. Fernandez already got his retribution and I am really hopeful he will file a case so Mr. Fajardo can also acquire his share of justice.

f006612000, please pardon my ignorance but I believe Mr. Fajardo was not able to provide several valid ID's with SIGNATURES. The most important ID he was able to provide was his present and valid PASSPORT w/out the signatures.
He just arrived from abroad right? The immigration officers (both abroad and in the Philippines) acknowledged that the person holding the passport as well as the person pictured in that passport was Mr. Fajardo. Immigration officer needs training again.

Signatures can, almost all of the times, be forged. And criminals using fraud credit cards are masters of forgery. If Mr. Fernandez purpose that time was to verify Mr. Fajardo's identity, the latter's passport could have sufficed the former's requirements.

I just hope and pray that the Employees' Union will fight this case to the very end until justice is served and lessons shall be learned. To the DFP Manager (Ms. Susan), i think you have to undergo more trainings on how to handle situations like this and i think you deserve to have one.

I highly suggest that DFP will encourage their employees to take this seminar. Unless of course they simply do NOT care about their employees protection.
Union leaders, force the DFP management to give your members the seminar for free. Unless of course you are not interested in educating and training your people.

Frankly, if I was the defense counsel, this case would have been dismissed long ago.
And honestly, with your debates and arguments, I wouldn't wonder why you dropped out of Law School. It was a good decision on your part, really.

NeutralConsumer, I dropped out of law school in the Philippines BUT finished somewhere else where I felt the institutions to uphold the law were stronger. I don't practice law because it is not my chosen vocation. As to free speech, that depends on the limits of what I can or can't say..a prisoner arguing through a cell door is still a prisoner..the same prisoner is a man with an argument without the bars. By trying to mold/influence the landscape, you have placed "bars" on true free speech.

swzarsa, as you previously claimed to be Non-Catholic and reading a different Bible. Maybe try reading the Catholic's Bible, I believe it is the original and unedited version. It does not contain as you say in writing "manipulate God's will for their gain". The unedited and original version, I presume, would have not been "MANIPULATED" for the gains of some individuals or religious sectors.

Your "catholic" bible contains the apocrypha which translates to "additional" or "that which is added to the original." When something is added to something "post facto" that something is no longer original. As former Agustinian, I have had a deep exposure to Romanism and the politics which played up to Council of Trent. I'm sorry, but the facts are that what you propose to be original is hardly the case.

Whatever Bible that you read I think we both believe that "Christ is the King of Mercy". whatever sin/s anyone has committed, everything will be erased if he repents and believes in God. Ever wonder why the Death Penalty is up to now NOT ACCEPTED by the Church? Even heinous criminals are given the chance to repent in prison so their souls will be saved.
Again, I believe our Lord Jesus Christ came NOT to DESTROY anything or anyone, but to SAVE everybody especially the sinners who repents.

There is still a separation between Church and State right? Or am I dreaming of another time and place. The Church approving the death penalty is a moot point. We all know that the penalty is whimsically reinstated or suspended to suit the ruling administrations political whims and doled out as favors. When there was a death penalty, how many "rich" folks actually got frizzled on the chair? I can only recall the Maggie Delariva rape case and the rumor was that the "payment" came late.

You see swzarsa, financially incapable people act, talk, and behave like that because they chose to do so. They are satisfied with what they already have thus there is no more need for them to want more. A jeepney driver would rather teach his son how to drive rather than encourage him to do his best in school.
It is very disappointing to think that the majority of our underpriviledged citizens usually depend on the rich (elite) for employment, yet they consider them as their enemy.

swzarsa, in any Democratic Country I believe there is no ruling elite. Poor people are given equal chance/s to make it big just as rich people are given the chance/s to make it even bigger. The problem really is EDUCATION, the illiterate majority still dwells and focusses on the spanish era's stereotype that it is better to become an oppressed poor (inaapi) citizen rather than being a wealthy (matapobreng) citizen of this community.

swzarsa, I am NOT an apologist, I am NOT a lawyer, and I do NOT work for anybody and I have NO clients.
Yes, I agree that this should be settled in court. In my opinion, it is the only way Mr. Fajardo can regain what he has lost. He should not in any way approve or offer any monetary settlement/s with Mr. Fernandez. And as I have said before, Mr. Fernandez already got his retribution and I am really hopeful he will file a case so Mr. Fajardo can also acquire his share of justice.

swzarsa, slaves then really cannot contradict the ruling elite. But do you believe we are still in that era? We are in the modern age now my friend, and slavery has long been buried and forgotten. In this Age, only the illiterate will think that he is owned or a property of somebody. Either poor or rich, everyone is free. A poor person can shout back or wrestle with a rich person if he desires to do so. Unless of course if he/she is unaware that under our laws, everyone has equal rights.

Read the Bible my friend, Jesus Christ came to save the sinners (and that includes most of us) and NOT solely the believers. I deem He never came to destroy anything but to save everyone. Wrong! Christ came to destroy the man-made institutions who sought to manipulate God's will for their gain..Christ teaches us to be bold and to confront the usurpers of truth. I do read my Bible, unfortunately, it's not the same one you read. In the end days, when everyone is called to account for the lives they've lead, Christ himself will judge as to who was the obedient servant and who misused his words for their own gain..better leave the Bible out of this as you're digging a deeper hole..

swzarsa, my opinion with regards to the blindfolded matron is same as yours. The majority's opinion regarding this topic had been biased due to the overwhelming media exposures Mr. Fajardo had. If justice would be blind-folded, then those exposures will not be considered, right? making the court-battle equal for both sides. For me that is just and quite fair.

Again..I argue for responsible free speech. Even the hate-mongers, homo-phobics, insane and just plain haters need to be able to say their piece. As I explained previously, Youtube is one of the few venues left where one can anonymously rail against the insanity of reality. Refer back to my previous thread about this subject. Lastly, swzarsa, I know you have a very good idea why the lady holding the scale of justice is blind-folded. Try not to be influenced with what you see, instead try to weigh the evidence/s as they may have been presented. The question why Mr. Fajardo acted that way is yet to be known, admittedly no one seems to be interested with what preceded his actions. Everyone's concern is focussed only at an edited CCTV video, and for me, that's not fair. And judging using this video only is NOT just.
