It has to be something seen in some sort of visual obscurity plus the added effect of human psychology. Never seen a ghost myself, but then again I don't even see the man in the moon, and placebos don't work on me.

This was the creepiest episode I ever saw as a kid but its also my favourite. The atmosphere and creepy music was very chilling as Big Mac is going past the empty buildings showing nothing but darkness in their empty windows. I've just noticed that when Big Mac sees the Ghost Tugs and that eerie singing starts, you can hear a heartbeat in the music and the heartbeat keeps going until Big Mac makes it back at the docks. Spooky eh?
