Mk, just in response to all you people crying about rift's pve and comparing it to wow's pve. Look, rift is a new game, so its pve is going to be new. So why don't you do the logical thing, and compare it to when wow first came out. So back in Vanilla how was the pve compared to it now? Its changed a ton. So stop trying to tear a new game apart. And for the record I don't play either game anymore. If anything I'd be more bias towards wow as I've played it for 4 years.

WoW is old news and all but I can say I played WoW for 3 years and Rift for about 6-8 months. World of Warcraft is undoubtably better but its just out dated soo its Xbox360 and for me. Release King Arthur the Roll Playing Game for STEAM nooowww!!

i only got rift out of beta because of a steam sale, since beta i have gotten a new computer so i can run the high end graphics with out stutters and i can actually appreciate the game. i love it! but in the end it is still a p2p and i will lose most interest when guild wars 2 comes out because its a one time payment, it looks fantastic, the fact that a world is industrializing is awesome, everything will be victorian looking and dynamic events as well, im a wow veteran but its losing its touch

wow instead... well... the game itself works awesome and there is always new content coming, the gameplay on wow is superior compared to any other mmo game, but then again bosses are always the same and they are not dynamic at all, you just have to repeat same thing over and over again and you will win.
i tried rift, there is one starting area for each faction,ONE!, and you follow the exact repetitive path each time, okay different when you leave the start area, but hey your level 5 by that time 10% max level,
the pets and beasts are awful, and the spells, omg look at a rift mage, and the gear uurg, the characters dont look like they belong to the scenery, they cast no shadow, nothing casts a shadow, and the combat,uurg play a rift paladin, no consecration,or any spells that look cool
@killerhippo10 cant really say why..even though IT IS a wow clone it feels completely different. Probably the engine difference shows huge change. Also the "talent trees" of rift are SOOOOOOO much better. I've been studying the talents of wow and their changes throughout updates and they are messing up real bad when it comes to diversity. I started out WoW in Vanilla, now wow is too casual... Graphics are outdated by years. And the mechanics of fights are all the same, not enough new have been brought to WoW. I got tired of that way wow slowly getting less and less good as a game and I gone to rift. When Rift have bug/some problem they don't wait for month to fix it, most likely it will be fixed in few days. This is what blizz does not do. Bosses in Rift got new and refeshing kinky tricks, along the hardness which is not casual.

I visited my first dungeon for the first time without realizing it and i went through to the last boss. Then i asked my friend why it was so hard. He said it was for 4 people not one. I'm not a big PvPer, but the PvP i have done; in WoW. it get boring quick. Haven't tried the PvP in Rift, could care less honestly. Now the PvP (RvR) in WAR is fun. So all these n00b PvPers who think WoW has uber pwnage PvP, go play WARs PvP. They have a free for life trial and you can PvP from level 1.
Also. Races and Classes. in Rift. The races are equal. in WoW Alliance races have better racials. Classes. in Wow your set on certain ones. Rift you can make all the WoW classes and then some.

Once he died they started making up new things and now they have pretty much gone down the gutter and are releasing a new expansion that applies to 3 year old kids
I just started Rift, and I agree with you on all points. I've tried to go back to WoW several times over the years(quit 4 years ago) and just can't. It is so stale and depressing it seems. Nothing is new or fun. Rift is new and fun. Rift has the best concept for an MMO with Rifts. I LOVED the idea of giant rift invasions taking over zones preventing you from doing quests. You have No Choice but to band together!

I agree that Rift is new and a bit shockick for us wow gamers. But i personally love rolling Battel for the Gilneas or Alterac Valley and just faceroll around on my enhancement shaman. Rift is kind of dark and a bit mroe realistic while wow is kind of "jumpy" and cartoonish and its kind of fun to play :), In rift i think all the melee and casting spells sound the same and i just think rift aitn that "dynamic" like wow.
In my opinion, I think the reason why rift isn't selling the best is because of the high graphics requirement. Yes, we can all agree rift has better graphics. But most people who play on the PCs are casuals, who will not pay so much money to get a computer to run high quality games like RIFT.
Rift has Novelty, fresh content. WoW has staying power.
As per the "Dungeons". If you played back in vanilla the dungeons were horrendous. Strat, Blackrock Spire and Scholo were raids but later turned them into five mans from 10/15 man.
WoW is itself the final nail in its own coffin. Ghostcrawler admitted that they can't get Vanilla players to stay, so they have been trying to get new players to subscribe. Unfortunately, that means killing everything good in the game and making it easy, boring, and childish. The new Pandaren expansion is proof of this. I mean, pandas?? Really???
/disagree. Played Rift for a month after release. Any good players who played it left after realizing how bad it was. The world feels empty, which I hate in a game that is supposed to be an mmo. Dungeons were easy, laughably so. Good graphics count for nothing when the content can't back it up.
rift is alot different i play both not year around just when i have time or money but i have experence with both more in wow than rift do NOT! get me wrong wow is amazing but it is a rut when you play all classes have a best way to go for them like ur spec tree will look exactly the same as the next guy but rift your character is how you play its your skill not stuck in a rut with the same tree as the other guy but both are 10 out of 10 games just rift is more how you want to play.

WoW has regular content comming out which keeps it going, I admit I get bored of it once i have cleared all the raid and hc content, looking forwards to the new expansion early next year. cant wait.

Rift has bad mount animations, shite models and textures on many things, reminds me of certain parts of DaOC. I have played many mmos in my time, and WoW is the only one I have played constantly.. I loved lotro, thought it was excellent, but it just didnt take off..although its doing much better now its f2p. I hop Rift improves, as I want a new mmo to play..but its still WoW for me at the mo

Rift hates multicore processors... I have endgame toons on both games, all of which are retired for now (waiting on swtor like 10k billion other dweebs, here). Burnt out on WoW, played Rift for a bit but the only really sweet thing I can say about it is that the rifts rock. Way too many other bugs to mess around with, though.
I ran out of space, but the old Alterac Vally was, indeed, awesome. As were the ability to grind out the best possible items for twinks (pre-heirloom - this is gear that is even more annoying to new players doing bgs for the first time) that would be able to stay in the same queues as other non-twinks indefinitely were the highlight of the game. Rift, however, lacks any arena play to prove skills. The battleground scoreboard shows a lot more info, though. So, you can take screenies of those.
Coming from 5 years on a pvp server, playing both factions, from joining mid-BC, and leaving after first few bosses in 25m firelands, and 12k+ achievement points (from sheer boredom), everything you mentioned in the video about pvp, graphics, and dungeons is pretty accurate. The only qualms I have with the game so far (after playing RIFT a little over a month (and already rank8 because of the half birthday)) is the look of the armor on the characters; pvp rifts are not thrilling, but unique.
rifts do get repeative aswell omg i was 10 mins away from leveling now entire towns disapeared AGAIN did same thing 10 days ago i mean dont get me wrong its a good game but its only dynamic and new coz ur new to it give it few months ooo it not really dynamic it same thing just lil bit more random

If you get destroyed in a Rift dungeon you suck. My friend Joe SOLO'D the first Rift dungeon at the minimum level to get it. WoW if you screw around you'll fail.

i tried rift, there is one starting area for each faction,ONE!, and you follow the exact repetitive path each time, okay different when you leave the start area, but hey your level 5 by that time 10% max level,
the pets and beasts are awful, and the spells, omg look at a rift mage, and the gear uurg, the characters dont look like they belong to the scenery, they cast no shadow, nothing casts a shadow, and the combat,uurg play a rift paladin, no consecration,or any spells that look cool

@killerhippo10 cant really say why..even though IT IS a wow clone it feels completely different. Probably the engine difference shows huge change. Also the "talent trees" of rift are SOOOOOOO much better. I've been studying the talents of wow and their changes throughout updates and they are messing up real bad when it comes to diversity. Rift DemandS diversity.

I started out WoW in Vanilla, now wow is too casual... Graphics are outdated by years. And the mechanics of fights are all the same, not enough new have been brought to WoW. I got tired of that way wow slowly getting less and less good as a game and I gone to rift. When Rift have bug/some problem they don't wait for month to fix it, most likely it will be fixed in few days. This is what blizz does not do. Bosses in Rift got new and refeshing kinky tricks, along the hardness which is not casual.

@Isakulol Duuude i played WoW for a little and i'm not saying that WoW sucks, i like it. But i played a palading up to level 20. I visited my first dungeon for the first time without realizing it and i went through to the last boss. Then i asked my friend why it was so hard. He said it was for 4 people not one. But i did all the rest alone.
It's an easy game compared to Rift now. It used to be different though.

I'm not a big PvPer, but the PvP i have done; in WoW. it get boring quick. Haven't tried the PvP in Rift, could care less honestly. Now the PvP (RvR) in WAR is fun. So all these n00b PvPers who think WoW has uber pwnage PvP, go play WARs PvP. They have a free for life trial and you can PvP from level 1.
Also. Races and Classes. in Rift. The races are equal. in WoW Alliance races have better racials. Classes. in Wow your set on certain ones. Rift you can make all the WoW classes and then some.

I just started Rift, and I agree with you on all points. I've tried to go back to WoW several times over the years(quit 4 years ago) and just can't. It is so stale and depressing it seems. Nothing is new or fun. Rift is new and fun. Rift has the best concept for an MMO with Rifts. I LOVED the idea of giant rift invasions taking over zones preventing you from doing quests. You have No Choice but to band together!

I agree that Rift is new and a bit shockick for us wow gamers. But i personally love rolling Battel for the Gilneas or Alterac Valley and just faceroll around on my enhancement shaman. Rift is kind of dark and a bit mroe realistic while wow is kind of "jumpy" and cartoonish and its kind of fun to play :), In rift i think all the melee and casting spells sound the same and i just think rift aitn that "dynamic" like wow.
Wow will allwasy rule in pvp :)

In my opinion, I think the reason why rift isn't selling the best is because of the high graphics requirement. Yes, we can all agree rift has better graphics. But most people who play on the PCs are casuals, who will not pay so much money to get a computer to run high quality games like RIFT.

As per the "Dungeons". If you played back in vanilla the dungeons were horrendous. Strat, Blackrock Spire and Scholo were raids but later turned them into five mans from 10/15 man.

Rift has bad mount animations, shite models and textures on many things, reminds me of certain parts of DaOC. I have played many mmos in my time, and WoW is the only one I have played constantly.. I loved lotro, thought it was excellent, but it just didnt take off..although its doing much better now its f2p. I hop Rift improves, as I want a new mmo to play..but its still WoW for me at the mo

Rift hates multicore processors... I have endgame toons on both games, all of which are retired for now (waiting on swtor like 10k billion other dweebs, here). Burnt out on WoW, played Rift for a bit but the only really sweet thing I can say about it is that the rifts rock. Way too many other bugs to mess around with, though.

I ran out of space, but the old Alterac Vally was, indeed, awesome. As were the ability to grind out the best possible items for twinks (pre-heirloom - this is gear that is even more annoying to new players doing bgs for the first time) that would be able to stay in the same queues as other non-twinks indefinitely were the highlight of the game. Rift, however, lacks any arena play to prove skills. The battleground scoreboard shows a lot more info, though. So, you can take screenies of those.

Coming from 5 years on a pvp server, playing both factions, from joining mid-BC, and leaving after first few bosses in 25m firelands, and 12k+ achievement points (from sheer boredom), everything you mentioned in the video about pvp, graphics, and dungeons is pretty accurate. The only qualms I have with the game so far (after playing RIFT a little over a month (and already rank8 because of the half birthday)) is the look of the armor on the characters; pvp rifts are not thrilling, but unique.

If you get destroyed in a Rift dungeon you suck. My friend Joe SOLO'D the first Rift dungeon at the minimum level to get it. WoW if you screw around you'll fail.
WoW graphics are meant to be cartoonish.
WoW PvP is alright, Rift was boring.

@FateOfMaldek I played WoW for a while in WOTLK and half way through leveling, I got bored, and tried new classes, still boring, Rift is definently better.

@FateOfMaldek I hope you're joking....... you can't solo any of the dungeons in rift. The only soloable thing in rift is quests and rifts....... lol

@FateOfMaldek LMFAO did you just say WoW requires skill?? I've been playing since its release and the only part of it that was hard was ''Vanilla'', Bc was alright... WOTLK was A FUCKING JOKE and CATA is just as fucking bad. Pve is mind numbingly boring now, i can do firelands in pvp gear lol! And pvp in WoW died so long ago if u signed up after BC then you rly shouldn't say anything about WoW becuz u have no idea what WoW was and what it is. The game is meant for casual fucking noobs like unow
