He was overwhelmed not touched. Try it sometime before you judge. I have gotten emotional just being part of a screaming crowd.. how many fangirls faint and throw up and cry when they see him? Can't you imagine a real person, someone who isn't stuck on himself and jaded, getting overwhelmed with emotion?

See most actors are so superficial and self-absorbed they wouldn't feel the emotions coming from those screams. They would be more concerned with their "appearance".. Rob is just real.. sweet

Yes at first the crowds were overwhelming but he's doing a bit better with it all now. He also woke up finding that he'd been crying in his sleep while filming where there was very little sunshine. Others in the cast were experiencing similar difficulty. I think it's actually better that he'd cried than holding in all that emotion and then going mental later on. Rob is a really good, stable guy, with genuine feelings, a real person finding himself caught up in the success of his career.

I think it's both.

1.) He isn't used to fame, so he was overwhelmed and joyed by the fact, but that wasn't why he teared up.

2.) He probably was scaredly happy. With all them worst case scenarios runnning through his head, and stuff.

Yeah I don't think he was saying he was "moved" by his fans' devotion...more like he's just a humble, down home kind of guy who FREAKED when people started screeching at him from all directions. He's a shy guy from what I can tell and he didn't expect this at all. I think he's in fear of his life in the sense that it's never going to be the same...and that can be daunting for anyone. I hope he gets to maintain some peace through all of this madness.
