  • Mick's still got the tone and the licks but the song framing the solos wasn't that interesting....still I'd love to here Taylor play with Stones one more time, the 69 tour was one of their best....

  • Mick's playing flows like water. So smooth. Truly one of the very best.

  • great video.doe anyone have the rhythm guitar tabs for "a secret affair"?thanks.

  • The Stones are always teasing him for getting fat. Perhaps he saved the Stones by joining him and by leaving them. He certainly deserves to be recognized for his role. No question about it---he's a great guitar player. I wonder what color that Les Paul is? Antique cheery burst? Iced Tea? Looks quite a bit like mine.

  • Besides Mr. Mick Taylor...this band burned through this track They sound like a band not 5 muscians playing.Damn good.

  • From 6.24 shows why Mick Taylor has and always will be revered as a beautifully lyrical and soulful guitar player; whilst the Jones-Stones concocted the most fantastically f****d up pop music and nasty R&B, the Taylor era Stones was undoubtedly the most musical; Moonlight Mile Sway Winter Shine a Light...guitar playing of out-standing elegance...Ya Yas shows that MT could rock as well.

  • Man, it's really hard to play solos with that slide in the pinky.

    Heavy player!

  • Love Mick on the Les Paul with the slide.. and his choice of songs. :)

  • Honestly, this is probaly the best i have ever heard from the Mickster, keep on truckin, Wild Bill, ABQ NM

  • Love seeing him play. If God could wave a magic wand over his health and weight, the Stones would be quaking as they look over their shoulders

  • Jagger, que gran guitarrista dejaste marchar en los 70.Un poco de purismo no hubiese venido mal a los Stones.Que conste que soy stoniano enfermizo.

  • Loved Mick's playing since Crusade over forty years ago, it's great to see & hear him here with such excellent video & sound too, thanks so much for this!!!

  • Heard he cancelled the 2009 North American Tour, any details???

  • The Mick Taylor website says he is suffering from ill health that caused him to cancel his tour, but not much more than that is stated. It seems mysterious.

  • He's suffering from pleurisy and he developed a blood clot in one of his lungs.

  • Sounds serious, hope he's okay. Hey Keef, if you are reading this, pony up for a private hospital room, you OWE him that much at least.....

  • I always enjoyed his blues playing more than Eric Clapton. Besides playing Accidental Suicide with EC and John Mayall, these two cats never really played together. I wonder why?

  • le meilleur !!

  • HE still got it! give us one last tour with the Rolling Stones! ...one more Midnight Rambler!

  • That 's the only reason i'should buy an other Stones Tour Ticket...Gimme Shelter..All down the line...Time waits for no one...his last studio performance..Hey Mick let Ronnie down just for one tour!!!

  • Just to hear the greatest one more time on Gimme Shelter with the Stones!

  • Like no other. The best guitarist of our lifetime. Thanks Mick for 40+ years of guitar brilliance. Can't wait to see you at Bearsville New York in July.

  • Saw him in '83 with Mayall's bluesbreakers...still one of the best shows I've ever seen. No 2 solo's sounded the same, incredible tone. mecormany is right, the Carla Olson stuff is great, especially "Sway" off "Too Hot For Snakes".

  • Nobody else -- he's the best. The Stones went so far backward when they let him leave, I wouldn't know 90% of the songs they've done since. But i know every note of the ones he played on. And his solo stuff or the albums he did with Carla Olson are primo. A true artist. which is why he never fit in with the Stones. I love this guy.

  • Mick the "guitar stick" Taylor .Smoking hot lead. Who else can play like this?

  • the stones need this guy again

  • Great video! Thanks! Love Mick

  • The Stones were still a band after Taylor left?

  • Mick Taylor has always been my favourite Stone. Remember his first solo LP back in 1979? How that album wasn't a huge hit is beyond me, but then I'm biased......and have no desire to change! What would the Rolling Stones be like today if Mick had rejoined???

  • Thanks for posting! Great video. I know he was previously playing cherry burst 59 reissue les paul.. Looks like got a new one. Anyone know?

  • He;s a fantastic player, I prefer him over Ron Wood any day in The Stones, Ron doesn't even come close.

  • Poor boy needs to lose some weight.....but sounds damn good.

  • Wonderfull to see Mick in great creative spirits.. like around 4.00

  • Awesome. Faults and all. Poor dude has to fix his own tech problems. Doesn't matter. The great Mick Taylor needs to be brought back to his rightful place within the Rolling Stones. It would be nice to have a lead guitarist who can do a run of more than five notes without feeling the need act like a friggin' clown again. Video's like this make me wish that banana eating, camera mugging, during a solo sleeping, Russian cocktail waitressing, money squandering, lazy fool Ronnie is fired. Word.

  • Hi Max!! You rock!

  • Hello old pal. I love you.

  • Thanks for the video!!
