  • you are a big polluter here, armenianturk why don't you kick him out??

  • You've become less blustery, I think. Maybe... maybe you're mad because everyone else is finding destinies and prophesies and generally surpassing you in every way? In the other hand you are completely incapable of independent thought and soil yourself with regularity seldom found outside the nursery. What a bloody shame!

  • Look at the dumb who does not speak our disgusting language..

There is a saying in Greek.. Malaka..

Ozellikle boyle yunan ozentisi olanlara.

  • woow we have another history professor right here

    yes Prof.nazözgün

Could you please enlighten us with real heritage of Trapezounta?

  • Only person trying to be professor is you here dear;) I gues i hit a nerve there. Maybe because your having identity problem and cant identify yourself as turk or greek. Who knows. But I can honestly say you are obsessed with racial superiority.

You show trabzon as if it was only greek. Yet when I went there i saw tons and tons of enthic diversity, from turkcomans to laz(Georgian decedents) to Pontiac.

  • Whats more Trabzon is the one of the most Turkish national place in whole Turkey.

If yu put aside history you'll see that trabzon is more influenced by Georgian-Kafkas heritage then Greek heritage.

  • nazozgun

:))) you made me laugh dear

trade, medicine, arts were brought to pontos by ancient greeks.Who had kingdoms and kings there?georgians or ancient greeks?

  • If we use that mentality then the whole anatolia is turkish since it been under seljuc controll then turkish controll for 1000-600 year and had its most prosporus age during ottoman times , no grik or georgian infuence.;)

Like i said its culture is more kafkas then grik

  • Onceden zevkliydi, artik sIkmaya basladi, ytda bisey ogrendiysem o sizin gibilerle tartimak veya iletisim kurmak sayfalarca surer.

Hade sana ve 10 ayri accountuna iyi sanslar.

  • nazozgun

    bingoooo

you made a big mistake professor.

    LAZ ARE NOT GEORGIANS

    sorry for the late answer

  • nazozgun

Identity problem??You can do better. If you want to see people with identifical problems, you can deal with lazs many of whom call themselves turks and the turks calling themselves lazs!

  • Turk is not ethnic identity but national identity in Turkey. Though some people obsses with genes and grik superiority cant understand that.

  • nazozgun

Hitting my nerves??they are so deep for you to reach babe

  • wonderful Trapezounta

  • feel free to visit it any time.

Might learn a thing or 2 about the real heritage of trabzon;)

    I did,

  • antiope11

At least we agree that it is wonderful.

As for the name of Trabzon:

You can use any name from the list below:

    Trabzon

    Trapezounta

    Trebizond

    Tramtara

    Trabzani

It will not make a difference!

  • ArmenianTurk, Trabzon holds Georgian decendents as well:)

  • nazozgun

    I know brother :):)

Trabzon was a crossroad, many come from around different regions, you name them, trade flourished under the Ottomans, so did Trabzon. Why do you think so?

  • Thank you for all commenting.

First enjoy beautiful Turkey - wonderful Trabzon.

I cant live without my Angel anymore

  • AnaMurida

What gave you the idea that makes you believe that ı hate kurds???Delusions!!!

  • Grungi please take your mother away offffff

  • Its a free world I can write what I want!.... and read some history before you write comments that don't make any sense

now go and cook for your hanoumisa hes waiting

    what are you doing here?

  • yes it is a free world, antiople, and i can teach you that u greeks took macedonia.

  • antiope

ps. my sisters husband is Pontian, i knw what a real Pontian is like.

you are a propagandist, not a Pontian.

  • beautiful Turkey indeed!

    Allah bless..

  • DaughterOfAres

    No problem.

Possibly there is a communication problem!

No, you haven't directly asked neither demanded, but only indirectly. You develop your arguments under presumptions e.g. "forget the settlers", there is "AG".

  • DaughterOfAres

You don't have to accept other views, it is your right of course, and similarly others don't have to accept and it is their right as well. We all see the same things from different angels and which make the picture different each time. There is no absolute truth. Anyway, lets discuss, as you say we are here to discuss.

  • DaughterOfAres

    You mentioned:

"I can not stand the arrogance of turkish people who think that every race is one of the turkish breeds"

  • DaughterOfAres

How did you come up with this? No, Turkish people do not think this. Please, don't accuse the Turkish people as a whole cause a couple who you encountered with expressed such opinions. And to help our discussions, Turkish people are not arrogant because some were.

  • DaughterOfAres

    You mentioned:

"It's better to say "it's under turkish ruling".That does not make a place traditionally, culturally and historically turkish. That is my point."

  • DaughterOfAres

Again, Trabzon traditions, culture and history have been developed and influenced by many settlers, people, rulers from many regions, races and backgrounds as Trabzon has been under the ruling of Greeks, Romans, Ottomans, Russians as well, but also of Turks as you say.

  • DaughterOfAres

But don't forget that its recent traditions, culture and history are linked with traditions, culture and history of the Ottoman Empire and modern Turkey as well.

Under your views, most regions in the world are then under some rulers.

  • DaughterOfAres

Well, this is the world of today developed through processes that took place of yesterday. That is my point.

  • @ArmenianTurk

Put all the settlers aside.Who created the culture, the language, the traditions and left us as a heritage? If you claim that the area is turkish, why do we keep on speaking pontian language? Why do the names of places are still in pontian? Why do the children at schools were beaten just because they spoke pontian language in the past?

  • DaughterOfAres

I am being asked to put all settlers aside.

I am being asked to accept your hypothesises about "Armenian Genocide".

See, we have to accept your terms and conditions, how it fits you all.

Yes, there was and is a Pontian Heritage in Turkey, which during the Ottoman period flourished and is now being preserved by the Turkish state.

Yes, the area is now Turkish as far as I know.

  • my sisters husband is Pontian and he loves his country, Turkey, and his people.

this is what Turks are renowned for, living in peace together :)

we are perhaps the best demonstrators of this in our time, and im proud to say it.

    peace.

  • @AnaMurida yes in this time but not from 1915 - 22. genocide needs to be recognised by the turkish government in order for the past to heal in modern times

  • ArmenianTurk

Your turkish sisters and brothers will be your worst enemy just in a second. Then they will start humiliating you just like they do to your Armenian sisters and brothers. Why don't your Armenian sisters and brothers like you?'Cos you ignore them and the things they went through in the past. The identity itself just concerns the person.I did not mean to judge you and nobody has that right to do so.

  • DaughterOfAres

Listen, I can say the same, anyone who doesn't go along with the Armenian way gets attacked and humiliated, the same goes for the opposite of your hypothesis.

No, I don't ignore them, watch my comments around youtube. Some Armenians understand, most don't.

    Your points are welcome, anytime.

  • Let's begin the discussion with your Armenian side even though it's not our real subject. How can you be both? You can be either Turk or Armenian.According to your comments so far,you seem more Turk than being an Armenian. That's why your turkish sisters and brothers like you.Just start talking about Armenian genocide subject and see what will happen?

  • DaughterOfAres

No dear, some people have ethnical backgrounds from many regions.

My Turkish brothers and sisters dont attack me but understand unlike some Armenian ones.

Many Turkish brothers and sisters have been more civilized towards the Armenians.

I am not an Historian again to express an expert opinion about events that happened 100s of years ago.

  • DaughterOfAres

Pontian propaganda extensively makes use of the term "Genocide" which has now been replaced with "good morning" in the dictionary of Pontian but also Armenian people.

    So what is your point?

That Trabzon is Greek and belongs to Greece?

  • greeks first settled there 750 BC some scholars say even earlier,

mongols came over a thousand years later

    its not hard to understand.

  • antiope11

    Greek settlers?

    mmm

    not Greek land then.

Trabzon has been occupied by Greeks, Persians, Romans, Byzantium, Ottomans, Russians etc.

No, it is not hard to understand.

  • antiope11

Most likely, the Greeks you refer to aren't the predecessors of today's Greeks.

Throughout history, movements of people, settlers, occupation etc has been the norm. And btw if Greeks had rights to settle, so may have others. It is not a first come first serve process. Now, Trabzon is part of Turkey. The rest is history. Lets enjoy the video, lets enjoy beautiful Trabzon.

  • 5*****'s!

  • spotswoodthenewt

    Thank you brother!

  • Trabzon soyca rumdur.

    Sövenin sıfatına tüküreyim.

    Fakat çoğunluk İslamı kabul etmiştir.

Bizim dedelerimiz değilmi ruslara kan kusturan çeçenistandaki kardeşlerimizle omuz omuza gavura karşı kurşun atan.

Irk Allah'ın takdiridir değiştiremeyiz fakat din kulun takdiridir.

  • ya birak git soyca rummus, nerden biliyon?? arastirmayi kim yapdi??

rum yasamsidir ve islama gecen rumlardan bi ikitanede vardir dogru, ama Karadeniz Türkdür, orta asyadan gelen Türkler neoldu?? buharlastimi?? biri irkciliky apiyor sen irkciliga karsi birsey dicem diye ayni irkcilgii yapyirosun dikkatli ol. benim soyum rumdur, kendi soyun endir bilemem

  • sen zaten ortaokul tarih kitabında yazan Türklerin orta-asya'dan gelip 8000 senelik anadolu halklarının arasında bir anda çoğunluk olması dalaveresine inanıyorsan tartışmaya gerek bile yok.

  • Bloodaxe, hayir kardesim, Trabzon soyca Rum degildir.

  • @ArmenianTurk

I have a question for you also. When will ı meet your Armenian side?

  • DaughterOfAres

Anytime my friend provided you are willing to.

My Armenian side is expressed throughout youtube. My Turkish brothers and sisters have no problems with my Armenian side unlike my Armenians brothers and sisters. That is a big difference for me.

  • @ DofAres

what does it mean to be Armenian then?

u have hatred towards Kurds too, afraid they will take the spotlight of victimhood

pls, lets enjoy this beautiful video of Turkey

  • AnaMurida

Thanks, yeah lets enjoy beautiful Turkey, wonderful Trabzon.

  • @ArmenianTurk

Pontian Greeks lived in Pontos for 3000 years who are now scattered all over the world because of the Genocide inflicted between 1916-1923.Pontos will keep its culture and its greek roots as long as we live here. Any more question?

  • DaughterOfAres

    You mean Greek settlers?

Trabzon has seen many settlers throughout the years.

Any war has disastrous consequences for the populations involved, and yes many people were killed, but not only Pontian Greeks but also Turkish people who you ignore to refer to.

  • DaughterOfAres

Pontian propaganda extensively makes use of the term "Genocide" which has now been replaced with "good morning" in the dictionary of Pontian but also Armenian people.

    So what is your point?

That Trabzon is Greek and belongs to Greece?

I'm sorry, but it is Turkish now!

  • my brother-in-law is one of you but he has no hatred, he is different to you.

  • Don't worry antiope,it is still greek land

  • yes nice land, Greek land that you took from us.

  • antiope11

    Thank you.

  • antiope11.. ehehe.. oh.. is that so..? why is it in Turkey then ? x)

  • grunge im not going to bother.

  • antiope.. maybe because you cant bother pLus if you arent going to be botherred then why do you make such provoking comments? x)

  • antiope1, with ur mentality, i can argue, 'macedonian land you (greek) took from them'.
