Yeah I pretty much hit the shitter in high school too, I went partying, got drugged, moved out of home 2x cos of family issues, got an abortion 2x with an abusive boyfriend and I didn't want to wait til I was 21 to go to college and party on for 3 more years so I re-did high school, got a job, balanced school, work and school/sport activities and I'm now in my third year majoring in Human Resources Development...while living with my grandpa and mum in Thailand.

my mom is the youngest of 6 kids and her dad is an alcoholic she has struggled with moving out on her own, having a kid with a guy that ditched her, and many others... she started working in a video store, she worked there for 5 years and she finally said the hell with it. she went to a trade school, two years after that she went to lpn school, after that she became a R.N. Now she is making close to 100,000 a year and its just bc she wanted the same things you want. never give up, you got this.
ever considered the army? my parents work in the army and its tough for my brother and i. we dont get what we want all the time, but my parents do their best and try to make due. my dad was an awesome athlete in HS but he didnt get the best grades so he didnt get a scholarship to any college. so he joined the army. he flies helicopters and all that other stuff. my mom was in a family of 9 and only had a 1 bedroom house. her parents didnt care. she dropped out. its a option
the pressure school put on me was immense so just like you i dropped out, that decision made me notice that taking the easy way out is really the hard way to live. what im saying is my past bad experiences give me the motivation to do what is needed and get what i want/need. if i didnt drop out i would have no life experiance, i wouldnt know what its like to not have alot. im quite glad i dont have alot of money or happiness, it makes me who i am

This has helped me so much. I am going to give the same advice I to everyone that my parents game me. Live each day happily with no regrets and so you can always look back knowing you made the best decision you could. I have lived my life drama free, very little enemies, great friends, and know with a girl friend that loves me. I am only 18 and so far living by the advice I was given with no regrets.
I have always had a few goals for my life as well. 1) Graduate High School; 2) Be the first in my family EVER to go to collage; 3) Be the best Husband I could ever be; 4) Be the best Father I could ever be and and give them the same great morals my parents have raised me with; 5) Be able to look back at my life with a completed list knowing I did good. So for step 1 is done and working on step 2.

Screw ups happen, but successful people make it a priority to right them. If you don't give your best effort in school, you are disappointed by the lack of success you have, and you feel like your effort is worth. So you give less and less and blame it on others. my mom is the youngest of 6 kids and her dad is an alcoholic she has struggled with moving out on her own, having a kid with a guy that ditched her, and many others... she started working in a video store, she worked there for 5 years and she finally said the hell with it. she went to a trade school, two years after that she went to lpn school, after that she became a R.N. Now she is making close to 100,000 a year and its just bc she wanted the same things you want. never give up, you got this.

ever considered the army? my parents work in the army and its tough for my brother and i. we dont get what we want all the time, but my parents do their best and try to make due. my dad was an awesome athlete in HS but he didnt get the best grades so he didnt get a scholarship to any college. so he joined the army. he flies helicopters and all that other stuff. my mom was in a family of 9 and only had a 1 bedroom house. her parents didnt care. she dropped out. its a option

the pressure school put on me was immense so just like you i dropped out, that decision made me notice that taking the easy way out is really the hard way to live. what im saying is my past bad experiences give me the motivation to do what is needed and get what i want/need. if i didnt drop out i would have no life experiance, i wouldnt know what its like to not have alot. im quite glad i dont have alot of money or happiness, it makes me who i am

This has helped me so much. You just changed my life. 7th grade was a rough year for me. This was the first year of going to a magnet school, and I had trouble keeping up with the more projects, and papers. We just didn't do that type of stuff at my public school. To be honest, it didn't care. I almost flunked out, and didn't care. I liked it better at the public school because it was easier, and you had lower expactations. But now, thanks to your inspiring story, im going to take advantage if this opprotuntiy. Thank you.

Its one thing to commit everything to something and fail, its another to make a poor effort and quit because of lack of results. Screw ups happen, but successful people make it a priority to right them. If you don't give your best effort in school, you are disappointed by the lack of success you have, and you feel like your effort is worth. So you give less and less and blame it on others.
