Yeah my braces at first hurt soo much i couldn't even close my mouth right and i have them both top and bottom on since Day 1. I got those elastic things today and i cant eat an F****** cookie, its like a chastity cage? for your mouth and it hurts like hell

@camille6052 I got them done at a place called Pinnacle, and they were free cause I was under 18 so still applied for the NHS :) if you get them if you're over 18, or if they don't think you need them, it will cost like £2000 or something ridiculous x

@Jodiefication the blue things they put between your teeth before you get braces, some people get them and some people don't, i don't know if i need them:S

@calysxe No I didn't have them, I guess it depends on what needs to be done to the person's teeth, e.g. if they have fang teeth, or overcrowding, I'm no dentist but that's what 'd say :)

Braces dont hurt after a week (incluing tightenings). enjoy braces while they last because were not getting any younger ! Also they are so easy to get used to! a bad part is that simple foods can get stuck in your braces but otherwise your good to go! Brush really good and use your wax when something is bothering you. CongratsYou are ready for braces! because if you dont, you will get cavities. Not good. I hope this information helps you with your brand - new braces!

@lizzy2492 Don't be scared! There's nothing to be affraid of, it doesn't hurt, it's just slightly uncomfortable when they first put them on you and getting used to the feeling of having them in your mouth, but the end result is totally worth it :D I'd say during when then put them on you, take lots of deep breaths and have someone with you to look at for encouragement :) you'll be fine! x
