RDX 2013 is coming out.... with a V6 engine instead of L4 turbo. I currently own a 08 now. Pretty sporty car. But high speed mpg(around 75mph) really sucks...
@bmh1234567 The RDX will get the CR-V's electric power steering and all-wheel-drive system for less weight and lower cost. it will look more like its big brother the mdx in the roofline.
@rwcmick Then it will be a completely upgrade version of CRV.....Or we should say it is a CRV with a pilot engine and leather seat.... The turbo engine and SH and ELS are the things attract me mostly. Acura should keep SH on rdx actually. Put a turbo on ZDX, release an S type of it. BTW, do you keep your engine on for a few moment before turn it off since it is a turbo engine which may need a period of time to cool down?
@bmh1234567 I was surprised about the sh-awd being pulled out, but they said that customers really just wanted the security of awd and didn't necc. want/need the weight and expense of sh-awd. Acura is rethinking its whole new business plan of how they going to approach the luxury market. As for the engine, I remember that older turbos used to coke up if they didn't have some cool off, engineers say that isn't a big deal now but it doesn't hurt to be cautious.
@rwcmick Well, if they really do so. It means Acura will not trying to have the battle with Lexus and Infiniti, they are picking up the battle with Mazda and Toyota. Putting a small V6 engine in CRV, marking it as V6 version CRV will be better than downgrading the RDX.
Thanks for the review. Anyone have experience with the amount of wheel and seat adjustment, and legroom? I like a wheel that's close, and a low driving position, at least in relation to the wheel. Don't like to stretch forward to the wheel, because I feel unbalanced. 6 ft tall, 32 inch inseam here.
@clubtc05 it's a heavy ass SUV, what do you expect? I drive one and once it does kick in.... talk about speed. Let it spool and you'll see what I'm talking about. Racing at stoplights is so 10 years ago
@fearedinpubs I do let it spool up, but Ive gotten used to it, the weight does play a factor in it but its the turbo mostly because its big. What Acura shouldve done is made the 4cyl a little more powerful and added a smaller turbo and it would,ve been much better in my option. Dont get me wrong though still a badass car especially when we had bad ice storms :)
