On Valentine's Day (very funny) in gym class I was playing basketball. I jumped to shoot a 3-pointer, and I landed on my foot sideways. Everyone laughed because I didn't cry. I held it there for a minute. I got up and limped. I could not put ANY weight on it at all!! The nurse said I probably just bruised it. I was in a lot of pain, and everyone thought I was overreacting. I went to the doctor and i fractured my foot. I got a boot like that! People thought it was funny tho
I broke my right fibula, and dislocated my tulas, tore numerous tendons. It's been six wks this past monday and I just put pressure on it. I can wall with a limp, no crutches and it's a little sore..
that why i refused to put any weight on it lol and im fine but im not suggesting it to evreyone haha i have a cast on for about 2 months (broke my right fibula and dislocated my foot had surgery with 2 plates and 6 screws) and i could walk on it with my cast haha but i only statrted walking on it because i get a boot in 2 days lol so im pretty lucky i think but im still worried about the "rolling motion on my ankle idk if im used to it because the cast is fixed.but with a little practiceimabfine
i have a fractured ankle and i been 3 months with a cast... i had surgery, they put a plate and 6 screws in my ankle.. theyre taking it off on wednesday.. well my question to you is, after they took all the cast and boots off, how long did it take for you to walk good again? and more importantly, were you able to walk straight again?
I'm in a boot.... In a wheelchair for 18 months, I was on crutches for a month and sprained the unbroken ankle and foot it heeled but I just stayed in the wheelchair, a month in this boot my first steps were very hard they had to rush me to a rehab center (crazy huh?) to take my first steps I can now walk but at first you would have seemed to forgotten actually your leg is just weak.
Yeah, haha. I was on crutches for 4 months... I had no idea how to walk after that. It hurt so bad taking those first few steps. It's crazy how something so simple is actually so hard. I never thought I would forget how to walk, but it happened! haha.
