I agree-poor things -missing the great books and some of the great TV dramas. i wish they would put it out on DVD

Joy oh joy! I have read this book with my students for over twenty years. Each year, I said, "They should make this book into a movie." And, they had already! I do not think this made it to the states, though.. Pity. We're reading it now and I wish I could share the video with them. The story helps my TV/video game infused children think and image. The book is magic!

Thanks so much. I love this story - and its been ages since I've seen this one. We have it on video somewhere, but who knows if it'd even play anymore. I love stories like this, was raised on them. I agree with txoria07. Kids are missing out on a LOT nowdays. Wish they would release these on DVD so those of us who love it could buy it. Thanks so much to the poster!

I have to second that! I remember it well myself feels like being a kid again just watching it now lol! but it was so well made! You don't get programs like that anymore I think kids are missing out on a great deal nowadays
