I have managed to get a folding bed for my parents for when they got there grandchildren over night, and i've been very very lucky to have got myself a ikea victorian daybed with thick mattress. So i am a total convert for free cycle, and when you have oap parents they really need all the help they can get. So keep up the good work Freecycle

I got a sony dvd recorder rdr-gx120, But the person said the disk drive was giving a error, All i had to do is replace the DVD drive and it works a treat. Saved myself £150.

Freeycle Is A God Place To Get Stuff,But The Frecycle Groups In New Jersey Seem To Be Wealthy Democratic Animal Lovers In Their 30s And 40s That Give Away Junk From The 1980s And 1990s.They See It As A Way TO Ge Rid Of Junk In A Digified Way,But I Recieve Some Good Things Like 78 RPM Records From The 1930s-1950s Off Of Freecycle Over Th Years.

I want to share my recent experience with the San Antonio Freecycle group. Immediately upon submitting my info to join the group, I was spammed by the group moderator with a totally off-subject solicitation to donate to another cause. The link on the email took me to a page full of FOX news clips. Un-fucking believable. I received 2 a day of these! I forwarded to the org and received no acknowledgment whatsoever. What is up with that?

I thought this was an excellent video. Freecycle is great although I have found the number of emails offering/requesting items clogs my Inbox up. More recently, I've been involved with a FREE UK project called vSkips (virtual skips). It's attracted 6000 members since April 2007 and now it's being taken back to America as vDumpsters, and to Australia as vSkip Bins.

Having been a member of various freecycle and now Ex-FC groups I have seen the groups go from being autonomous to heavily regulated and controlled by Mr Beal and his associates. He doesn't like "competition" either. In Mr Beal's mind, FC should be the only recycling movement on the Internet. There are/have been yahoo groups which expose what is happening with Freecycle.
