  • This, and You are More by Tenth Avenue North are what get me through the day! Thank you so much for posting :) This is one of the most amazing songs I've ever heard. No matter how much I screw up, God will always love me. My friends may leave me, but God never will, because he loves me MORE. :) I will always matter to him, so will you.

  • I live in Poland. I last year studying nursing. It is very hard, but I believe it will be better. I believe in God. i love God! :)

  • @1Way2LifeJesus thts what ive been doin

  • @TheBigtrev1234 Thanks for your honesty. 1) You pray and seek God's help in your struggles. 2) How's your Quiet Time? Start your day with that. A musician tunes his instrument before the concert, not during or after. 3) It helps if you have a group you are accountable to. I have peers and older men who keep me from straying.

  • Before my grandmother passed away, we always talked about whether she loved me more than I loved her, and vise-versa. It took many years, but my sister and I were eventually able to lead her to Christ. She is with the Lord now, and everytime I hear this song, I think of how much we loved each other and how much God loves both of us. :')

  • 10 people dont know what they are talking about when they rate this song and they are not rateing it right because this song is amazing and i love that work that you did on it

  • I Love This Song!

  • Truely God love`s us more, after ever thing he created; humans are the greatest creation of God.

  • I have to listen to this song at least once a day. GOD IS GREAT!

  • whenever this song comes on at K-love i feel more and more touched by God!!!

  • Whenever I hear this song, I cant help but envision Jesus just belting the words out, with his arms outstretched to me. Makes me so happy...

  • @kawana87 When I think of this song, I picture the words softly whispered.

  • For anyone who desires a biblical understanding of the gospel and salvation, I would highly recommend checking out the scribd website that is listed on my channel.

  • Yes! I receive this Word, Lord!

  • this is soo true:)

  • This absolutely amazing video should be played everytime we are feeling down. The God of the Universe loves us more than we ever could love anyone in our imperfections. How awesome that we can get such a exciting, beautiful song to help remind us that God loves us More!

  • @sonicfanrs 'lame pics' it tottally goes with the song dumbo butt

  • @aspenwood3636

    "DUMBO BUTT"?!?!?! lol

  • I love this song!..who can people belive in eveloution!?! their fools! Because in eveloution there is so many questions you can't answer like who made the sky the ggrass space us the ocean people belive it was a cemical who created the cemicle? and theres billoins more questions! and for a christian theres just 1 question who created God?

  • I live in Carolina, but i made the BEST decision of my life to go to arrowhead bible camp in Wisconsin. • Yahweh bless! Yeshua is coming soon :) May he shine on us all !

  • ::I love YESHUA FOREVER,,,MY GOD,MY LORD,,

  • my favorite "christian" song. i'm a christian but typical christian music isnt all that incredible, however this is amazing. i hear it and i can feel God's love surrounding me

  • Guggy Week 5 :) <3

  • @Lauren95M ikr?!?!? i miss it soooo much!!!

  • i'm catholic, but i don't really practice it, bc im not exactly the most religious person *cough cough* haha. but i reallyyyyyy like this song!!!

  • Thiss is mee FAVORITEE song!!

  • I don't see how this song is about God at all, sounds like he is singing about a girl

  • @unnkosher he's singing it from Jesus' perspective!

  • @unnkosher alot of christian songs can sound like that. but if you really pay attention, it is about God. I think the line about him teaching the sun and the stars how to shine make it a bit obvious. He is singing it from Gods perspective. :)

  • @vampiress222 not to be rude or anything but if you are Christian then why would your username be vampiress222 not that mine is any better superstar385

    god bless

  • @superstar385 I honestly don't see anything wrong with the username. It's something i've been into for a long time and has never been pointed out to me before. Maybe there is something wrong with it, but I don't see it.

  • @vampiress222 I hope that you don't think that I'm butting in here, but I couldn't help but notice your conversation with superstar385. The Bible tells us not to eat blood because it is the life of the body. Vampires drink blood to survive--their very existence goes against God's command. Just my two cents. :)

  • Great Song :) Amazing God ! I love You with a firey passion :D

  • I love this song..Every time i listen to it it starts to make me cry just a little bit because i have self confidence issues and i feel like im not loved...whenever i feel like that i listen to this because even if nobody in this WORLD doesnt love me i still have GOD in HEAVEN :) I

  • I was listening to this song as I was landing in an airport one night, and looking at how small we really are when we look from above the song just for some reason became more meaningful then it was before....

  • @micutuv sometimes i have these....like.... visions of everything as a whole and, as you said, just how small we are...(and how lucky we are!!!)

  • I love this song:)

  • Everlasting life... This sounds awesome doesnt it? And its only possible because of amazing grace.

I love you with all my heart oh Lord!

  • @221care4u lol.aww..sorry, .i haven't read it before posting..just came from my night duty..XD

  • @221care4u Yes He is !!

  • @followerofthelord1 no i meant that we are required to study earth science and the big bang theory and things like that

  • i <33 this song! :P

  • wew

thats song is very nice huh

  • such a great song.

i love him more than the sun...

  • MOHAWKMANGOPIT, you seem to be very curious about our God. Read Matthew 3:14-15. "You will hear my words, but you will not understand; you will see what I do, but you will not perceive its meaning. For the hearts of these people are hardened, and their ears cannot hear, and they have closed their eyes - so their eyes cannot see, and their ears cannot hear, and their hearts cannot understand, and they cannot turn to me and let me heal them." mohawkmangopit, I will be praying for you. :)
  • @MohawkMangopit

may God reveal it to u.. cuz theres no way ppl here could make the blind see.. *if u understand what i mean..;)

Gbu and have a nice sunday!:)

  • Nice song =) I Love God yesterday, today & tomorrow =D My favorite part =D

  • ah i love this song. its so true. and its so touching. i hope everyone gets to feel the grace of God just as i have

  • The Big Bang Theory: God wanted to create the earth *BANG*

  • fool your self with that kind of theory, i got to learn that in high school.. BUT GOD is more powerful.

  • Comment removed

  • @221care4u

    AMEN!

  • i hate the way science goes against everything i believe in but yet i'm forced to learn it

  • we cant do anything about it..

  • @221care4u i know and we should be able to do something about it

  • No one is "forcing" you to believe evidence presented. However, the church is not above "forcing" its position - see "Crusades" or "Inquisition" or "Salem Witch Trials" or "Jonestown" or "Death of Hypatia" for a few examples.

Evidence is just there - not "forced." The moons of Jupiter were there quietly orbited the planet in direct contradiction to the bible - Galileo didn't "force" that, he just discovered it and suffered the rest of his life because ignorance is useful in a population.

  • i may not have to believe it but the state of Illinois requires us to study it

  • well do u believe it? i sure hope not.

  • no I don't, but at the time when I was 12 I didn't know what to believe. Now I know that God created the earth. Public schools can't taint me!

  • everything was a theory, but when it is proven it becomes a law, I also learned those theory when i was in elementary and in secondary educ. even that annoying evolution theory which made me research a lot about it just to defend my group in our debate class. I enrolled too in a catholic school, and sure i can't take a good grasp on our theology class. I stand firm that their is Only one God, the Father and he created everything!

  • @dhenderson124

    BINGO!!!

    =D

  • Such a powerful song :)

  • this song is so inspiring! god bless every1 and happy holidays!

  • If there is no God then what is evil?

Is there free will if God doesn't exist?

Is there purpose if God doesn't exist?

You just are scared to reply that's why you want this over with. Btw scientists did examine this with fact. For scientists to "examine" evolution/big bang, they would have to observe it, rather than theorize it.

If you have no feeling s for the supernatural or you are an atheist, than why are you listening to this *Christian* song? Aren't Christians your enemies?

    hmm?

  • great video!=]

  • Thiss sonqq is ahmazingg. It remindss mee of myyy ahmazingg boyyfrendd.(: i lovee youhh.(: o9.06.09

  • Read all of the last posts from bottom to top and let the logic soak in before you defend your point. I'd like you to challange my points if you can. However when the topic gets this deep it's hard for the atheist to not veer off and try to talk about something else. As long as you straightfowardly answer my specific questions specificly I WANT you to try. Go for it.

  • You have made my point - not Matthew West's.

To your first comment, I choose 3, but find it remarkable that you have defined a trichotomy, but fine.

We cannot understand this yet. However, being unknown does not give infantile fairy tale explanations more weight than theories proposed and defended by say - Stephen Hawking. As the Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at Cambridge (Isaac Newton's post) I am compelled to find his "theory" more credible than rambling edited pages of iron age texts.

  • @MohawkMangopit Well obviously you could guess. And if I'm not mistaken I think most ancient cultures believed the sun to be a god that travelled through different deminsions rather than having it rise. Also, the sun DID rise right before their eyes, so there is evedence enough.

Doesn't it make sence though!? If a God is omnipotent, he does not have to be created. If he is omnipotent, he can create anything. He wants to make himself known through songs like these. He loves even you, he said.

  • No, the evidence they had LED them to think the sun rose and set, but they were wrong and only the scientists that studied it intently were correct so it wasn't "evidence enough."

Keep thinking and you'll be fine and remember, the invisible and the non-existent look very much alike.

    We're done now.

    All the best. MMp

  • What created the creator of the gasses? What created... etc. Either it was always there or it came out of nothing, which is impossible. It is against the laws of thermodynamics for something to comes out of nothing and it defys logic and common sence. *For every created thing there is a creator, and every spec of atom or even smaller is created, as something cannot come out of nothing.

We cannot understand this at the stage of our brains is bull. This is no answer to the origin of the...

  • Underestimate the word, unlimited. Has no end... Ultimate power does not have to be created, it is ultimate, omnipotent.

For # 2: For something to come out of nothing is impossible, for something to always exist is possible. Omnipotency of God has no start, no end. Pure nothing only makes more nothing. 0 + 0 = 0 (8 = infinity) 8 + 8 = 8 simple math. Now for something to come out of nothing is blatently impossible. Theory's claim that gasses were always there but what created those gasses?

  • Continued @ MohawkMangopit: Since there is no option beyond those three, I will do my best to explain this. We know that the universe was either created or was infinite from the beggining. For an omipotent God, to have to be created, his creator would have to outmatch it in its complexity, size, strength, power. So God could not be created. However, in a Gods omnipotency, he has no need for creation, he is God. Noah Webster - Omnipotent: almighty: having unlimited power we humans seem to...

  • very good! good job.

  • One must attribute some of these comments to interpretation of lyrics! I just find several of them ridiculous and try to understand the person making the comment. How any individual could take the message of any Matthew West song and flip it to the negative is beyond me. This man is doing everything possible to spread his faith and beliefs to those in need of positive structure in their lives. May god deliver a Grammy to a man who deserves only the finest things in life.

  • This is amazing to think about.

  • I'm so happy!!! God loves me!!!

    :))

  • more than the sun and the stars and the galaxies and universe. above every other creation God loves us, and prides Himself in us of all things!!!! Hallelujah!

  • AMEN.

  • Some would say this is blasphemy - after all , in these lyrics you are claiming you're a god.

Others just pure egotism - projecting the notion that you speak for a god.

I guess both would be right.

  • True, yet whatever.

  • oh geez... >_>

  • Can you say "indirect characterization"? If not, try thinking "Maybe the songwriter is showing qualities that God has by imagining what He might tell us".

  • Emphasis on "imagining."

    Muslims have entirely different "imaginings."

Son of Sam "imagined" a dog told him to murder people. That was as crazy as this but at least it was confined to one maniac rather than manifesting as the mass hysteria that this represents.

Imaginary notions are nothing assert anything, and it takes some nerve to indulge oneself in "indirect characterization" to imply that one knows "what He might tell us." That's pure arrogance.

Can you imagine believing in Thor?

  • Wow I'm sorry. I usually never comment on other people's posts, but this comment was beyond stupid... and a bit irrelevant.

You're comparing a man who murders people, to a man writing songs about God. You can't do that. At all. >_>

Besides, you are getting yourself worked up over just a little video? Just move on man. :P

  • Thanks for the "stupid" reference.

Suffice that "imagining" to know something doesn't make it so - in fact, it is damned close to insane. I don't think the dog talked to Son of Sam any more than I think the bush talked to Moses.

People have "imagined" thousands of gods and it's beyond preposterous (see: stupid) for anyone to assert that they can "imagine" how god would "feel." It's been the source of a lot of misery - see: Inquisition.

You should keep to your conviction of "never comment."

  • I agree with you entirely when you say imagining something doesn't make it so. However, this was not previously stated before in your earlier post that I commented on.

But back to the point: The artist wasn't imagining what God "feels" (as you put it). He knew that he loves us when he wrote the song. He does NOT, however, know what exact words God would precisely use to describe his love for us, so he therefore used his imagination to convey the feeling of His Love.

  • Okay, but I contest that you or he "knew that he loves us" when all he can demonstrate is strong emotion. Schizophrenics have strong emotions that tell them the government planted chips in their brains, but we don't simply take their word for it.

So much human suffering has been caused by what people "knew that he" wanted. Burning heretics for instance. Then it's all cloaked with piety people swallow it out of fear of death.

In Iraq one might strap on explosives from an identical motivation.

  • God says that he loves us. He says it plain and simple that he loves us. Now just like almost everything else you can either doubt he said it or believe it. There is no middle ground. Back to the original argument the Artist did not imagine any of that.

Sometimes people wear masks to hide their true intentions. In this case they disguise that they don't listen to God. (Also, yes burning heretics is evil). When you say Iraq though, you're talking about a whole different religion.

  • I see.

I'm delusional because I DON'T have an imaginary friend.

It's an unsubstantiated claim - just like the Muslim's flying horse or Apollo's chariot. It's all someone's fancy - pretend to believe it, but you can't really believe it.

Why do people wail with grief when a loved one dies? They should be overjoyed! Their loved one is going to eternal bliss!

They wail because they don't, in their heart of hearts, believe it either.

So, stop insisting it's true and don't expect me to buy in.

  • Right. We know. We, or at least I, do rejoice fo THEM. It's only human to shed a few tears, though. For us. And if you think about it, evolution is more crazy than a designer. I mean, the odds of all of these amazing designs goes way beyond the odds of a supernatrual creator. If I have more characters left, I would go on.

  • Clearly, you do not understand evolution. The process of natural selection IS the designer. If you're not too threatened by it - if your belief isn't too flimsy, read The Blind Watchmaker by Richard Dawkins.

The process, unlike belief, stands up to logic and the evidence so strong that you have to be delusional to deny it. Did you know there are identical gene sequences in dandilions and humans? We all descended from one life form. More astounding is the Clay Theory.

    Can you handle it?

  • but how do you know those people arn't making it up "like" the Bible is and why are you watching this and just dicrediting our belief.

  • Two words: hard evidence.

Belief is no justification for the terror inflicted by religious people. All this piety holds no sway. It is that piety that evil people hide behind and apologists give them cover. You have no more evidence of your god than does Islam, Hinduism,Zoroastrianism, Satanism or any other such construct of man. All these unsubstantiated claims of the origin of life stand in the way of the truth - incomplete as it may be, science backs up all claims with hard evidence.

  • you still didn't answer my second question

  • @MohawkMangopit But you don't have hard evidence. In order for there to be evidence than you need to have an account of physical proof before you make a claim. The big bang theory is not evidence, it is a theory. Science does not have an explanation for the beggining of the universe. You have to take 1 of 3 sides here, there is no other option than 1 of these:

    1. A diety that created the universe and was not created.

    2. The universe that created itself.

    3. We cannot understand this yet

  • "In order for there to be evidence than you need to have an account of physical proof before you make a claim."

    ??

In ancient days before "hard evidence" man claimed that the sun would rise. And, there it was each and every morning. That claim stood for eons until mathematics showed with certainty - the earth was spinning and orbiting the sun. The "hard evidence" of that didn't come for thousands of years and the church fought the "theory" every step of the way.

    Today it's evolution.

  • You see, it's the "I'm speaking for a god" attitude that I find so grating.

The Aztec priests told their flock they were speaking for a god as they cut out the beating hearts of innocents - it's that arrogant attitude that "god works through me" that I can't tolerate. If you can swallow that, you prostrate yourself to the machinations of someone that's either delusional or egotistical or both!

I go back to the Son of Sam analogy - do you believe his dog spoke to him? Why validate this pulp?

  • so your problem is how we do it and if so what is wrong with it

  • Read again - religions "stand in the way of the truth".

Christians burned the single greatest store of knowledge in the Library of Alexandria - thousands of years of accumulated wisdom up in smoke and, given half a chance, they'd do the same thing today. Modern Christians want science rejected from schools and superstition put in its place exactly as the mullahs in Afghanistan impose their belief.

THAT is what's wrong with it. So - do you believe in Aplollo? Or do you find that preposterous?

  • So, yes. I admit it - you have me there. My "problem is how (you) do it." If that isn't hitting the nail on the head, I don't know what is.

Exactly right - this type of drivel and tripe serves to prop up the bullies of religion and the transparent and infantile piety that's used to justify it is a most despicable aspect. These songs themselves seem unassuming and harmless - just as sweet as the nectar that feeds the hornet nest.

  • I never called you delusional. I said "you can either doubt it or believe it", not that you're crazy. And there is written accounts that show where God has said that "he loves us." You don't even have to think real hard about it: It's The Bible, so my claim is not unsubstantiated.

In fact, responding to your other post, God has more evidence than the Evolution Theory by a long shot, because the Evolution Theory has not been proved by Real Science...(continued)

  • Lil Fact: The Bible is the only book with over 10,000 authentic ancient manuscripts in existence. It's the only book where all ancient manuscripts agree on all main points. Scientists have also confirmed the Bible by finding lost cities and records of people, like Nineveh.

Today scientists say "I have a better idea. It all just happened!" and everything just popped up at random. The Earth is too complicated in design to be just randomly exploded into existence.

  • Very "Lil"

"All main points"? WTF is that?

It's supposed the word of a god. What malarky. Why is he so obscure with all that power? Sadism?

Mankind has fabricated thousands of gods and they've all been infallible.

No scientist says "it all just happened" they say - we don't know how it happened but we're working on it.

You have it EXACTLY backwards. Religion says "it all just happened" and that's the end all be all and we call it a god - just like every ignorant culture before us. Poof!

  • Main Points: Like chapters in a book (which is what the bible is), those 10,000 different manuscripts all agreed with each other on main events in the bible. (I had limited characters, give me a break)

But...you know what? I don't think either of us are really getting anywhere with this. Rational discussion doesn't work with people who have decided what they believe, so I'm just gonna drop this here and have people get back to enjoying the movie. But remember that I am still praying for you.

  • You miss the point.

I haven't "decided" to "believe." I merely demand evidence before I waste my time - time is all we have and damned little of it. So, don't waste YOUR time praying for me to this illusion that seems to bring you solace. Put away such childish things and don't infect the next era with this folly. Let it succumb to truth and evidence and die out like every religion before it to take it's place in the pantheon of myths.

There is more grace in mortality than make believe.

  • There is complete historical evidence that Jesus was a real person, he was crucified on a cross, he was buried in a tomb, and in 3 days the tomb was empty.

  • Oh, and the old testament gives hundreds of prophecies which have mostly all been fulfilled in the new testament, which btw was written over 2000 years later, and the ones that have not been fulfilled are still being fulfilled today.

  • You are delusional and I'd wager it's because of your lineage, but while that's the norm, it is by no means certain. Were your parents Christians? Grandparents?

Faith is more often an accident of birth circumstance. Were you born in the Middle East, you'd most likely be a Muslim or Jew; in Asia, you'd be a Hindu or Buddhist. The point is, you were taught this gibberish - perhaps if you were born in California, you'd be a Unarian. Check out the uncomfortable parallels there.

    Prophecy - ha!

  • You want proof? I'm limited to characters so I can't put the whole verse, but you can look it up. Isaiah 41:12-14 says: "Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them. Those who wage war against you will be as nothing at all. Do not be afraid... for I will help you." Israel was re-established in 1948, which btw is also a prophecy. Since that time Israel has been attacked by much larger countries and always prevailed.

  • Isaiah 41: 18-20 says that Israel would prosper,
