I'm 1st generation american.. My parents speak to me in KorEnglish (part Korean and part English) and I reply in English. I didn't know this was common for kids of mixed parents and 1st generation americans. You taught me something and I definitely feel less weird about explaining how I understand some Korean but don't speak it. Thanks much. :)
