Of the 44,000 casualties, 4,416 are DEAD, about 39,500 are wounded. Of the wounded, some are blind, other had their penis shot off, some burned, paraplegics, amputees, lost sight/eyes, deaf, etc.

Also, in your language I don't know what casualty means, but in English it includes the wounded. Many of our wounded WISH they had been killed because they are in wheelchairs for life with very poor medical care.
