@anupchowdary Completely different shows how can you compare the two? Takeshi's Castle is such a laugh with obstacles and this is about playing games to win crystals. They both are great in their own right!

@keith23uk Offcourse you are right. But, its not what I meant. Takeshi makes me laugh like hell and Crystal Maze is a true reality with all suspense. There are many other reality shows which are trying to make better shows like Takeshi though it tops in this Genre. But there is no show in recent days like Crystal Maze. In Takeshi, Winners are those who avoid Human Errors and common sense. In Crystal Maze, you should avoid Human Errors and use mind. 90's shows were awesome.

I have emailed Itv pleading with them that if they must insist on bringing this fantasstic show back then they must keep the elements that made it great. They need to get Richard back! This show was great but so irritating too. See a contestant lose the ability to think for himself as his teamates shout out unhelpful instructions from behind the door!

The Indian woman falling out of the boat and fully into the water before they'd even got to begin the challenges was perhaps the funniest thing to happen in the history of the show! O'Brian nearly wet himself too - trying not to laugh! Brilliant.

The Crystal Maze was light years ahead of saturday night television today in terms of imagination and entertainment value. However the show had its time and to remake it now; it would just look crap. But the main reason it wouldn't work? No Richard O'Brian. It's only now when I rewatch it that I realise just how integral his presence was to the show's success. Somehow his chirpy, subtley sardonic manner manages to bind the thing together.
