This is actually my favorite Michael Jackson video of all time. Ironically, Michael Jackson was never in it. Since this song is currently number 1 on the charts, I wish they would have remade it featuring scenes from the present and the end would include MJ's memorial. It's quite interesting that during the time this video was made, Iranians were rallying against Ayatollah Khomeini and now they are once again in a state of chaos.

I am honestly not a Michael Jackson fan. I was born in the year 1990 so as I gained consciousness all I heard was his child molestation cases and his alleged nose job and bleaching. I knew he was a great artist but I was a kid and Spice Girls was what appealed to me. I hated "You are not Alone" because it sounded sappy. Besides, it was overplayed in the radio. It was only earlier this year that I started to appreciate his music and it was all thanks to Kris Allen for singing this song on Idol.

In case you misunderstood my comment, I was trying to say that all I heard while I was growing up was that he apparently bleached his skin and all other rumors about his nose job. As for "You are not alone", I thought that was his only song back then because it was overplayed in the radio at around the same time that "Macarena" was repeated over and over again.
