@reptongeek Yeah fine, it's an easy pick, everybody saw it... But there's a reason for that. You can't deny its greatness, its transcendent power. And Shakespeare In Love is pretty ho hum imho.
@reptongeek Lol fair enough; I won't say it's 'bad' movie. But it was nominated alongside what is, to me, one of the greatest movies of all time - Saving Private Ryan.
@BennyJayRuss I won't deny the artistry and the reverence behind the project, and I won't deny Attenborough's sincerity... But if you really take a good look at it - and not have a little snooze as I did - and compare it with the likes of Bertolucci's Last Emperor, or Spike Lee's Malcolm X, there is SO much less at stake, SO much less involvement in the Mahatma's tale... at least in the movie. The guy has literally no flaws, everything is pure, everything is quite static and emotionless.
love your videos about movies .... you know how to choose scenes very well ... and the music and everything... thanks ..... Love for the movies will never die.
I for one think this is wonderful. I will help you in all your filming. I will walk beside, behind, or in front of you, always have wont stop now. You tell me where to point the camera, I will do it. Let's get started on another project. Im so biased. lol
Titanic, 1997. That was an awesome oscar night. I feel like from 2005 to present, it kind of went downhill. Lol

Either you've made a new account or stolen this video because I've seen the exact same thing on someone elses channel...

5 movies that imho should definitely not be in this countdown (I'm not including pre-1969 winners):
- Chariots of Fire; Reds is such a better and more enduring movie.
- Gandhi; the worst winner imo... So rigidly academic and noble...
- Driving Miss Daisy; really? that's the best movie of 1989? No it isn't. 4 words: Do the Right Thing.
- Shakespeare in Love... No need to explain why...
- Crash.....................
Honorable mentions: Kramer vs. Kramer, Rain Man, The English Patient, Chicago

@julespec Gandhi is one of the greatest cinematic and acting masterpieces of all time!

@julespec Sorry but I think you do need to explain why Shakespeare in Love doesn't deserve BP
