my life has been ruined by prozac,i have so many of the symptoms in the video, they should ban ssris.i would never have taken it if i knew what id go through for one day, never mind 4 years!watch my video ,danger projac to see what ive been through.
My dumb bitch of a phychiatrist put me on antidepressents (I'm not depressed) and my mom made me take them but they made me feel awful so i just stopped taking them i felt bad for a few weeks fortunatly I wasnt very dependent on the medicine so the withdrawls not as bad as hers but I still feel like shit.
Even though this video was released to the public a couple of years ago, doctors still providing an huge amount of anti depression drugs to their paitents and the media just don't give a damm about this. I wish there was an alternative ways to stop depression, but no.. people just want the easy and the short way to deal with their problems.
If you're new to antidepressants and you're doctor has prescribed them to you, let me give you some advice... All of what's said in this video is true, but it's also true that these drugs are life-savers for some people. Some people respond better to ADs than others, and I came off Effexor in one month with no problems. I can't foresee the long-term effects, but without AD medication I gradually get worse mentally and Zoloft is now keeping me stable. Only take them if you really need them.
@dannyboidj1 I think I've always been pretty brain-dead, so im not so worried about brain damage :P They aren't devastating, but they prevent you from getting REM (in deep sleep) and thus they cause memory loss, because sleep is what solidifies your memories. ADs trap serotonin within neurotransmitters, so you produce less in the long-term. Serotonin is needed for sleep. I demanded melatonin (body turns it into serotonin) to regulate my sleep. I want to avoid ADs when im not neurotic/psychotic.
About a week and a half ago I stopped taking my Wellbutrin. For the past week I have been planning how I will be killing myself next week. Although u would think that I would have put 2 and 2 together and figured out it was the withdrawal that was making me suicidal, but it wasn't until today that I finally figured it out..
I'm sensing out a huge FUCK YOU!! out to all the drug companies who have profited from my pain! I wish you all the worse, assholes!

Hey everybody, Jesus is the answer, pray and receive/invite him to come into your heart as your Saviour and Lord, he can heal you, do anything! with Jesus im steadily doing much better despite this pills i take, hopefully i'll get off all of them, but having Jesus in your heart is all that matters.............
My mom was 100% in good health. Physically and mentally. She went to a fruit loop phychitrist and she prescibed her Geodon. Its a mistake that has about killed my mom. She now weighs 115 lbs and cant even drive. She is now has to be with a family member 24/7 because it has (destroyed her mind!)
It makes you loose your mind and will destroy it. The peaple in the FDA that allows this and the Doctors prescibing it should executed and burn in hell! It destroys minds and famlies.
I started tapering in Nov. Finished my last perscription in Dec. Had no brain zaps or side effects. 3 months later tho in March i got sick, following that i've had brain zaps since...cept the brain zaps feel different now, it feels more like a strong quick DULLING feeling rather than a "jumpy" zap..I KNOW they're brain zaps tho cuz they're trigged by the same thing taht used to cause them when i'd miss my paxil for a day or 2 (sudden anxiety or any sort of strong emotion causes it)
I also feel it in the same part of my head. I would deffinately prefer the old zaps i'd get over these, at least with the old zaps i felt some sort of emotion along with it, even if it be anger or anxiety. Now when i get these "zaps" my emotions disappear and i feel dull and dead inside. My body seems to be screamin for paxil, anytime i think about taking it when i get these zaps i feel a strange comfort, like my body is telling me that's what i need and that's what it wants. I hate it.
@Wallychans i totally relate to you, i hug you, love you in Jesus' name, i should pray for you, my pills have given me all kinds of frustrations, hey i'm here for you and everyone - David at- emailperson8@gmail.com
Brain zaps are gone. It took three months. My sex drive is starting to return. However, I still have sexual side effects. I can't maintain an erection easily anymore. I am not even 20.
TO PEOPLE SUFFERING WITH ANXIETY/DEPRESSION: I recommend taking vitamin D supplements, or at least having more of it in your diet in some form or another. . .
@CodeofVideos Good suggestions. Sunlight is a good source of vitamin D. I walk outside 60-90 minutes a day. It's very hard for me to gain weight or feel depressed.
Three months, if that. No brain damage, but sexual side effects still. I am not depressed anymore. My depression actually subsided after I went off the drugs, but I give zero credit to the drugs. I made a lot of environmental changes in my life during that time, which I attribute to my current happiness.
My anxiety is returning though. . . :/
Also, I am now on a serious drug for some other problem I have, and it can cause depression. I can only hope I hang in there.
@CodeofVideos Your side effects remind me of what it was like when I was on effexor (venlafaxine). You should give credits to the drugs because if you were chronically depressed you wouldn't have been able to make those changes in your environment. ADs are far from perfect, but can save you in the darkest days. Ironically, some ADs, like effexor substitute depression for anxiety. Try natural solutions to build up your defenses, then use these as coping resources when you come off them.
Ugh,I hate Zoloft I feel like a zombie I want to stop taking it but i heard
if i dont ake it for 1 day ill throw up,be nauses, dizzieness and basically be put through a living hell, not to mention the fact I Have POTS(Postrial Orthistatic Tachycardia Syndrome)! Thanks Zoloft Thanks alot!!!
@cman86s Amen! and maybe even ban psychology and psychiatry in general! i think there are other countries that dont have this crap, i'm so angered i was deceived.................it's like when a woman is raped, the rapist takes something from her, we all feel we've been tricked and had a part of us taken from us, but Jesus can put it back............
ive been on meds for about 7 years now.. since i was 18/19 .. now im 25.. i went off it on my own.. which was fucking difficult but im really really proud of it.. anyways its fucking tough............... its really really tough.. ppl don give mental illnesses enuff credit!!
@stripedsockxx GET OFF THAT SHIT.The younger you are, the more suscpetible you are to having HUGE withdrawal symptoms. You think you're gonna die, you can't eat, you become afraid of EVERYTHING, nothing excites you and you ponder your own existence like 23 hours a day. GET OFF IT NOW. ppl WILL say "don't do it" , would you rather ween off now or spend an entire lifetime in terror? I took Zoloft for 2 1/2 months, took me 3 to beat withdrawal. do. not. fuck. with. meds. you dont wanna go there.
going off cymbalta slowly right now. Think carefully before you go on antidepressants, coming off is a scary and difficult process and the side effects are much worse than my initial situational anxiety. debilitating headaches, weird or poor motor control, and those unbelievable brain zaps - and Cymbalta is supposed to be easier than other anti-depressants.
Why don't the Doctors notice? are they all stupid and thick and untrustworthy and incompetent. Don't they notice all the patients having the same shit getting off? Valium 20-30-40 years... Don't trust me I'm a Doctor.
you want to try cold turkey on anti-psychotics, the shocks knock you into a half conscious half asleep state and build up like feedback before they totally zap you into alternate states of consciousnesses. all the time the drug pushing shrinks try to get you back on them.. hard core! (18 months, nearly normal)
went cold turkey on Zoloft because it literally made me depressed, fatigued and non stop vertigo. BAD IDEA.week 3 of withdrawal and condition is improving. the fear is still there; that maybe it's me and not the withdrawal. my family has a history of mental illnessess. I've never felt the things I feel until withdrawal came. Doctors don't understand the shit we go through, the hell that we can't control. I hope the withdrawal will wear off soon.I'm 2 young 2 die like this.I'm done wit anti D's.
@FreakyKong Wow. Its so sad to hear people feeling like this. I wish more people knew about the importance of diet and lifestyle on the mood. Our brain is literally made up of what we eat, 2 weeks without enough omega 3 and our brains changes its structure. 75% (or so) of criminals lack vitamins and minerals, and those who recieve vitamins and minerals after coming out, of those 90% never turn back to crime (from Dr. Russel Blaylock), where others return in almost the same numbers i believe.
@FreakyKong These drugs keep the brains chemicals that sends signals from one braincell to the other between the cells, depression is lack of one of the 4 mood chemicals in the brain and lack of vitamins/minerals. Stress and junkfood kill our minds. Julia Ross says "Junk foods create junk moods" feel free to write me personally for any further help
@FreakyKong Som foods to avoid: Refined sugar, anything you can be allercig to or have an intolerance to (that can be just anything you have eaten too much of, milk, bread, so on), tablesalt, soy (its not that healthy no), vegetable oil (except for olive oil, and coconut oil is okay too, caffein, ALL LIGHT product = aspartame. Dont overcook vegetables and meets, and drink WATER, plain water. Feel better
@famnel1 Thanks, that helps. I was taking Z for a panic attack last year and it did nothing but make me worse, I never had a good day on it. I'm only 20 btw. It was natural for me to panic in my situation, didn't know how to cope and seeked help.I had one panic attack and he thought I was loopy.. I ended up in the ER after taking the Z. my doc didn't monitor me, nor did he bother to help when It messed me up. short version: fired his ass, 4 months later feel AMAZING off the Z, never going back.
@FreakyKong Welcome. Often people produce less of the neurotransmitters when they come off the medicin, so its even more important to eat and live healthy after quitting the drugs. Caffein alone can start a panic attack, but few bother to chek for sleep quality and quantity, food and water intake and food intolerance, also, i would chek my adrenals if i were you. You can find James Wilsons questionaire on the internet, also Dr. Michale Borkin has some good videos here on youtube on adrenal
@FreakyKong fatique. Try eating some liqorice root, adding some celtic sea salt to your drinking water just enough to give it some "bite". Chek your pupils in the dark, stand in the dark in front of a mirror, after 1 minute flash the light into your pupils, if your pupils fail to keep contracted it is a sign of adrenal fatique. If running a pen across your stomach leaves a white mark (instead of a red) for some time, its a good indicator too. All the best
I took Paxil for 9 years. I had no idea of the side effects/withdrawal symptoms. If I did I would have found another way to deal with my anxiety. About a month ago I decided to quit and succeed. Thank God I didn't get the head zaps so many people talk about. I know other people are more sensitive and have to wean off for much longer. If you are thinking about or in the process of withdrawing talk to your doctor first and come up with a plan. Cold turkey is never the way to go. You can do this!
I've had almost all medical checks in a hospital, told them i stopped taking my drug venlavaxine. That i've passed out and had zapps and shivers and all the problems related to not taking this drug. They just told me that it wasn't related to the drug. But found nothing. After 2 months i started the drug again because i could not live normal anymore without it. Now 2 years later. I've stopped in cooperation with my doctor. And the zapps came back. I'm now completely sure to get off this drug.
= the general public is 'too stupid' and we want to do their thinking for them. poor souls, they feel depressed? just pop a few pills, it'll be ok... while we get filthy stinking rich.
I forgot to call in a refill. It's been about four days and I FEEL LIKE SHIT. Anxiety, bowel issues, dry mouth (and a bad taste), vivid dreams the past three nights, and foul-smelling sweat. At least I haven't been gettig those 'head zaps'.
I agree, we should sue these fuckers. If for nothing more than to get more information released.
I've been experiencing electric-zap/shock sensations throughout my whole body, not just my head my WHOLE LIFE! I remember being a young kid, maybe 8 and feeling these sensations and thinking it's completely normal and everyone experiences them. These 'shocks' come and go, i go through periods of weeks where i don't experience anything, i feel normal and then go through a phase where i experience HUNDREDS of zaps in a day; constant feelings of electric shock. Does anyone else experience this?
@fixxxer928 FLUORIDE<FLUORIDE<FLUORIDE!!!! Its all fluoride. I have had zaps ever since i moved into a public water system, i dont take antidepressants, & when i started to reduce the fluoride intake i could hear the buzzes getting less intense. Now if i eat a Mcdonalds cheesburger or drink pop, i hear it. This is NOT a joke, this is real live research that i have been doing over 2 years. I tested the public fluoridation & steam distillers are the safest method for removal. Not osmosis
i've had it before when i get off of other so-called "anti-depressants"
psychiatric "doctors" are just street-whores for the Pharma-Industrial-complex. they have no fucking clue what they are doing. they're only trained to take money from pharamceutical companies, and dole out their product.
my so-called "doctor" experimented on me with pharma-drugs, and fucked me up beyond all description
@lerch25 I had withdrawals from Effexor,I know exactly what these people are saying. It's like your brain has been detached from your skull, and my mouth was detached from my brain too for a while.
I found the CURE for addiction and I have proof for this claim. Click on my name and witness Powerful Stories of Freedom. I personally know and have witnessed over 100 addicts who have found True and Lasting FREEDOM after being enslaved by their addictions for so long. I have been through many programs for my addiction, but have never found so much Hope, Joy, Peace, and Love than I have in the program I am in now. And the people I know who have given their stories are experiencing the same!
SSRI's damage the CNS permanently by make it super-hyper-excitable, shrink brain, damage neurotransmitters. Visible symptoms are deep depression, extreme anxiety, paranoia etc. Symptoms people never had before. SSRI's cause perm brain zaps, perm head/body pains. SSRI's damage mind, body, soul, in ways no one can understand you. Psychiatrists are aware of the damage. They laugh. You cry.
I find individual accounts much more useful and balanced than these high-budget "news" orgies of paranoia and fear vending. Someone who has or is experiencing what I am and presents it in a sincere fashion not only gives me information, it doesn't stress me out needlessly and contribute to my already existing problems.
Good bye antidepressants, hello exercise... Been up for 30+ hours straight now with only 3 hours of OK sleep. It was never like this before I started taking these kinds of medicine.
Brain zaps and short term memory loss is clearly brain damage. You can make up whatever euphemistic explanations you want but a normal brain does not do this only a damaged brain does this. THAT IS BRAIN DAMAGE PEOPLE AND DOCTORS! Apparently some people can recover while others are left permanently disabled.
@nickistheman12345 You are extremely fucking inconsiderate. A lucky bastard, but completely inconsiderate. Most people going through Paxil withdrawal have to go through HELL for anywhere from 1 week-5 months. Thankfully I was only on 10mg, so I only had one week of torture.
@Zarfurius Fuck you shithead. I took 20mg a day for over a year and I had these withdrawals otherwise I wouldnt have found this youtube video. Its annoying as hell about as annoying as your stupid ass but this video blows it out of proportion.
anti-depressant usage/anti-depressant withdrawal cause serious neuro-chemical reactions to put it bluntly. if you thought you were imbalanced before, trust me you were better off than you felt....and, paxil is one of the worst. haven't they begun mass-tort lawsuits on this one?...have you lost a loved one via induced suicidal ideation? i think paxil was one of the big ones that most quacks have stopped prescribing. notice how ridiculous the placebo percents are in the clinical trials. fraud!
I took paxil years ago...then I got to a point where I felt like I didn't want a pill to control me so I just quit. Years later....here I am on citalopram.
I've been on Anafranil (Clomipramine) since the age of 12 I am now 34 & I'm going through the process of withdrawal it IS hell my legs ache I'm nauseous I am determined to do this!
I regret every day for taking SSRI, I just had anxiety before, and after I stop taking sertraline I developed obsessive compulsive disorder and depression that I never had before, I am a 7 month free and I still have consequences.
I freekin out nw, iv jst started takin prozac for my depression '' jst lyk no dr told me to'' iv been feelin sick and my depression aint gone away yet, hope this shit dnt happen to me wen i cum of them!
BTW, you don't have to just discontinue the drug to get zapped. If I forget my Effexor for one day, I get brain zaps. This has been happening for years, and I thought there was something wrong with me. I would have liked to know that this was in-fact very common. Screw the Drug Companies.
Still on antidepressants. Psychiatrist perscribed me paxil when I was a preteen, but took me off of it after a year or so after they started finding out about this stuff. I'm glad he took me off of it, and I'm glad I never fully realized the risks of me taking it. Oh yeah, and don't get me started on ritalin...
I got off Pain meds with THC . I stopped at 40 Ml 4 Perks a day instantly - no shakes and no withdrawal symptoms... Im not for Smoking BUD for partying but it can help so many ppl out there to get of MEDS !!!!!!
All I have to say is fuck antidepressants. I went from 150 MG to zero. My withdrawal symptoms have not ceased for weeks!
But I refuse to give in to these head shocks! I hope someone sues the SHIT out of ALL of these antidepressants. They deserve it. No one was told it was this bad!
hey i'm taking pexeva and the generic name is paroxetine i only took half of one so far you think its a good idea to stop now or is it to late already does this mean i will become addicted?
@CodeofVideos My friend, look into your diet. The 4 chemicals in your brain that run your mood are made up of amine acids, serotonin is made mainly in the GUT, so a healthy diet is key to a healthy mind. Also you need mineral and vitamins for the chemicals to be made and function properly.
@CodeofVideos Amen Hallelujah brotheror sister! I'm real angry too, I was tricked, Lied to by a so called psychiatrist, Code, they have messed up 18 + years of my life, these shrinks, psychologists, psychiatrists should be in jail, and brought to justice, because they are hurting people with their poisons, the blood of thousands if not millions is on their hands, their god is money, they don't care who they hurt, When is somebody gonna hold these psychiatrists accountable!!!!!!
But listen no matter how bad it might get don't ever consider suicide! I know it's hard and these fucking doctors are liars. I hope everybody the best of luck and "working out/exercise" will give you the same results of the "anti-depressant" but the doctors aren't gunna tell us that b/c then we wouldn't need their medications! But try to stay calm over it just as I need too! Find strength in God and Jesus! I'm stuck I don't know whether to go back on the meds or stay far away from them!
I am trying to wean myself of lexapro.....i heard u need to do it gradually......but even so......im finding it really hard....i feel like im not in my body anymore...dizzy.....lightheaded...cant sleep......can these symtoms actually kill?
@farza85 I dont think they can kill you- but u'd feel like the only answer is suicide :/ I am 22 years old and was on zoloft for the past five years. I just weaned off of it 9 months ago and am noticing the withdrawl symptoms NOW. I can't think as quick as I could before I started taking the pills. I feel more confused and it's hard for me to formulate words in a normal daily sentence. My heart races and am short of breath! I'm scaird that this might last my whole life!
9 out of 11 people closest to me are on these damned things! Doctors are always trying to increase their dose, while I'm trying to decrease their dose. very awful "2nd hand-side effects" from SSRIs have made my life Hell. Those around me no longer see consequences and don't care about anything outside themselves! My sister was caring, now won't help her own elderly Mom& is angered by anyone asking her for help at all. SSRIs should be Sched. II controlled! Then Dr. wouldn't be so careless!
omg..i cannot believe this. I have been trying to put into words my symptoms for years. If i miss a dose or take it late of Zoloft I get the same zapping feeling. With every step just like she said. I have been wanting to get off it for years but I cannot stand the withdrawal symptoms. I also get very thirsty and horrible headaches.

Depakote 500mg
Remeron 15mg
Thorazine (I don't remember... maybe 75mg?)
I'd taken the Depakote on and off for 4 years, Remeron about 1 year, and Thorazine a few months. I have effectively quit all of those on June 1, 2008. Surprisingly, I haven't had any kind of seizures or debilitating illness, although in withdrawal, I have, and continue to endure many things that no human should have to endure.
Looking at that drug profile you took them for short periods of time. Not compared to me which is 17 years of all kinds of SSRI's and Antipsychotics at max doses. Of course though, i would imagine you had terrible withdrawals. Mine was beyond ones imagination, thus the reason why i have permanent Neurological damage and take the Big Guns of Narcotics for my Headaches/Brainzaps it caused. Yeah you suffered some withdrawals but you were on them a very short time. It's got nothing to do with me.

Those are just my LAST three pills. I've taken 25-30 different medications from the ages of 7-20. Those were just the pills I was on BEFORE I quit taking those accursed fucking drugs.
Needless to say, I don't post on PaxilProgress, because I would probably end up banned, because I would say far, FAR worse about those psychiatrists and big pharma than what got you banned on there two days ago.
You're right... my withdrawals have nothing to do with yours. We're two very different people.
I too was on many AD's over 18 years. Have been off of all meds for 6 yrs. It has been very difficult and am still dealing with some issues... like insomnia but hope to complete the turn around in the next year.
Over the course of research about these drugs and the damage they cause I learned that they do a number on your hormones and your hormones affect your neurotransmitters.
Just recently tested (urine) for hormones and started on the naturals. You might want to look into this :-)
I get pains in my heart area when i took SSRI's/SNRI's, and now when i take Opiates for the condition i got from SSRI'/SNRI' withdrawal damage. Its very hard to live when there is painful suffering of the nerves daily which are damaged, which could have been avoided/prevented but i was intentionally harmed by psychiatrists. I don't know how to explain to you my hatred for psychiatrists and what i would like to do to them. It penetrates my soul what i want to do to them.
I'll get to it . I been feeling very sick lately and have problems with my mobility due to SSRI withdrawal damaging the nerves in my body as well as my head, face, mouth, neck. I developed Tardive Dyskenisia, Neuralgia, Neuropathy, CPS all from SSRI's/SNRI's i took for 17 years. Going to a psychiatrist is the most DANGEROUS thing one can do.
I have to go into a pain clinic next week for a Lidocaine Infusione to help stop my chronic head pains from SSRI withdrawals. I got permanent central pain from SSRI/SNRI's. At the moment i take Oxycontin, Lyrica and 1 mg Paxil. Pain is so severe its spreading to my face, neck, jaw, chest. All this serious damage from psychiatrists. If i knew then what i know now, i would have NEVER taken these neurotoxins.
Judging by your posts, the Oxycontin, Lyrica and Paxil are likely fucking with you, and all of those pills CAN cause physical pain. Maybe you should wean yourself SLOWLY off them. Try to cut each of your medications 5% every few weeks or something. Then again, I'm no expert... I'm just roughly following what I've learned from PaxilProgress.
Though you REALLY piss me off with your arrogance and insults, I just want to know... Why do you still take these pills if you know they may be causing it?
Chronic head pains since weaning 1mg per month from 20 after i was on 2 max doses of AD's. 3 years have passed, the head pains didn't go away it got WORSE = PERMANENT.
They aren't pains that one can handle with Omega 3's. They're head pains so severe it will lead to death. Thats why i was put on Narcotics to help stop the most severe pains. I had no choice. I didn't want Narcotics. You wouldn't believe the head pains i have. It will scare you as it scares me. Its a nightmare.
Those that want the truth about SSRI's can read my posts. This is my story and experience. SSRI's do cause permanent damage. Neurologically. I have 17 years experience with psychiatric drugs as well as the system. Psychiatry is for the sucker, the naive, the vulnerable. don't be fooled by psychiatrists. My last words to the wise.
I have 13 years of experience with psychiatric drugs and the system, from the ages of 7 to 20, and I DEFINITELY despise everything regarding big pharma and psychiatry. I'm almost 18 months into withdrawal, and although recovery takes a long time, I HAVE gotten slightly better within those 18 months.
The difference between me and you is this: I'm not trying to FLAME people just because they are on medications. You, however, call those who criticize or question you EVERY name in the book via PM.
You love psychiatry thats why you blame me for bashing it and bashing those who support it. Its that simple. I sympathize those who didn't know the risks, dangers, and method of diagnosis and fell in trap. But i do NOT sympathize those that knew the ins and outs of the system and took the risk.
God- what idiot put you on drugs at the age of 7?? And where was your family when they were doing this? I commend you for having such a positive attitude. That's basically all of your childhood you' ve been on drugs. Hope you're getting the support you need...
My family was basically FORCED to do so by the school system. The school system threatened to take me away or some crazy shit. In effect, they had NO control over the fact. One of the reasons I loathe living in CT. I was a pretty wild kid beforehand, but then again, who isn't at that age?
I DON'T have a positive attitude. I'm pretty much one of the most angry people I've ever known right now. I ALWAYS have rage towards the psychiatrists that put me on those pills. Rage of the violent kind.
I don't blame you for having RAGE against the psychiatrist who done this harm to you. You have the right to be enraged. I'm sorry and sympathetic that you were brainwashed and victimized by those evil psychs. Try to sue their BALLS OFF.
And also, I tried to look for a therapist, but after basically being told that I would have needed to see another psychiatrist in order to do so, I didn't want to take the chances of ending up back on their drugs. I had long since filled out that chapter of my life, because I knew those pills would either be responsible for me dying or ending up in prison one day. So, I decided, I needed to try to get better myself.
To stop the damage of what i had is to wean off very very slow and i mean 1mg to 1/2 mg every month or two. Rapid withdrawal or cold turkey will kill you or cause permanent damage like it did to me. I may have to have DBS (depe brain stimulation to stop the painful neurological central pain caused by SSRI withdrawal damage.
I know you're a complete ass that LOVES to flame everybody who criticizes or questions your little opinions, but I would like to have proof of antidepressant withdrawals causing permanent damage. I mean, I've gone cold turkey off of several medications, particularly because those pills were driving me literally insane, and it was a matter of life and death, and yet, almost 18 months after that, I'm still alive and well, albeit with quite a few withdrawal symptoms.
I wasn't on SSRIs at low doses for 3 weeks, otherwise I wouldn't even be on here fighting with you right now, because I wouldn't have suffered enough because of psychiatry to even CARE about psychiatry. I was on SSRIs from the ages of 7 through 20. That's 13 years... 156 months, 676 weeks, or 4732 days, whichever time measurement you prefer.
Doesn't change the fact that if you AREN'T trolling, you're at least an arrogant ass that acts better than everybody else.
You want proof of antidepressants causing PERMANENT damage. I AM ONE. Hows that?. If you withdrew from antidepressants and didn't have severe withdrawal or long term or even perm nerve damage, then you took very low doses of the drug or for a very short period of time. Long term users at high dose and abrupt cessation will cause permanent damage as it did to me. i am 3 years and diagnosed with Central Pain Syndrome and on Narcotics. THATS PERMANENT.
Pardon my language but Effexor is one nasty m'fer. I went cold turkey on this drug too so I can tell you that you cannot undermine it's significance on how you are now feeling. How long ago did you rid yourself of this poison? If not too long, it may be a factor in you coming off benzos...you could have some underlying w/d going on from it. Not to minimize a/d withdrawal (it can rip your head to pieces) but it traditionally doesn't last as long as benzo w/d.
That last post of mine is a direct reply from an SSRI and Benzo addiction survivor / BenzoIsland staff. She went through a lot worse than you and I have mate, believe me. Her hair fell out, she had excruciating zaps for 5 years, regular seizures, DPDR, EVERYTHING. She is now 99.9% better.
Brain zaps are painful. Some say they aren't, some say they are. The reality is they are painful. Those that says they aren't don't have brain zaps. If you want to see real suffering of ssri users read PaxilProgress users. Benzoisland is for benzo users and strictly for benzo users. Nothing to do with ssri withdrawal.
Draz, you say you're on Paxilprogress yeah? And that people there say it can cause permanent damage? Then why did i find this...?
...buddy, you aren't being consistent here, the guys on that site do not confirm what you are saying, they oppose it. Please stop scaring everyone. You are NOT OFF paxil yet, so you DON'T KNOW the way you feel is permanent.
C'mon man, I know ur hurting but sometimes u gotta listen
What are you talking about?. Did you read the long post called "Protracted Withdrawal?. It gives permanent damage. The evidence is there. There are people suffering tremendous protracted withdrawal 8 years later with alleviation.
but that's 8 years, not 'permanent' is it? I recognise 'protracted' as what you are going through and i already said mine wasn't protracted, that i consider myself lucky. Mate you're doin my head in a bit now, you simply do not listen. U aint gonna get better while you're bent over and taking it up the ass about this 'permanent' shit, it's all nonsense. If u've resigned urself to it, and u won't listen to the options i've proposed, then stop fuckin whining about it and stay like that
Dude, you dont know the pain and what i feel. This ssri withdrawal in my case has caused permanent damage. If it wasn't permant i wouldn't have CPS pain for 3 years consistently. Your withdrawal is easy as you took the drug for a very short time. 8 years of protracted withdrawal? thats PERMANENT. What person has unrelenting damage for 8 years and still have hope for recovery? i smell BS. You gotta listen to me , your'e not being rational. There are many who have perm damage.
actually mate, i don't have to listen to you, ur a stranger, all i was trying to do was offer you some hope. U've clearly decided not to take it so let's just leave it at that. You have permanent damage? Ok. Believe that if u wanna. Your withdrawal is worse than Benzo w/d? Lucky me. I got my own hell to get through and i don't need to hear your negativity popping up every 2 minutes in my e-alerts, nor does anyone else you're scaring with all this shit. So please, no more replies to me. Thanks.
Mate, you told me to listen to you. You can't say that. You don't know the pain i feel from SSRI damage. As much hope you can give me, i appreciate it., but i can assure you i am damaged for life. I am a rare case in a rare situation. I'm telling the truth of what i experienced with these drugs. I'm sorry but we can't come to a mutual agreement and understanding. We have to terminate our debate. Taking psych drugs for 17 years is dff than a few months or 1 year.
I believe what you're saying about the CPS pain. I came off the drugs suddenly after 6 years and several months after developed neuropathy in my arms, legs, hands and feet and pelvic area (painful to sit! And very annoying). It's worse when I don't sleep but gets better when I'm in a good mood and eating well. It started 3 months after I stopped and it's been going on for 8 months. So, how
do you cope with the CPS pain? Do you work at all?
Now you understand that SSRI's cause permanent nerve damage. It causes Neuropathy, Neuralgia, as well as other nerve related disorders thats permanent or long term. But most nerve pains are permanent since it gets into (memory pain). Psychiatry destroyed you like they destroyed many. Its time to fight back.
I know all about neuropathy and neuritis etc from a book I bought on pain. It also says one of the ways to fight back against the nerve pain is by increasing natural endorphins (through laughter, doing things you enjoy, being positive) and excercise. It must be true because I notice the nerve pain goes away when I'm happy and comes back during times of stress or lack of sleep. As for fighting back. Yes, I fight back- through knowledge, acceptance and spiritual growth.Grieving is a process.
Severe Nerve disorders caused by SSRI drugs are usually long term or mostly permanent like i got it. SSRI/SNRI's are serotonin/norepinephrine blockers. They damage brain cells directly designed. What i meant to fight back is to fight back against the psychiatrists and psychiatric industry before they brainwash, kill and injure more innocent people.
Hi Draziom203. Before I can take on the psychiatric community, I have to take on my health first. The system isn't going to change overnight.I have to make sure first and foremost that I'm alive in a few years/decades when the industry is held accountable to be able to testify! I've only been off the drugs for 1 year (the drug I stopped suddenly). So it's a little too early to call anything permanent. Just as the drugs cause brain damage there's also such a thing as neurogenisis.
You seem like a rational person and i agree, your health comes FIRST. When you feel better and if you do get better FIGHT THE PSYCHS with us. There are hundreds of thousands of psych victims like me and you who've been brainwashed and damaged by psychiatrists. Their time for justice will come. God will not forgive them. WAR TO PSYCHIATRY.
Neurogenisis also works more when you keep your brain active and healthy. Thanks for the information on cchr- I've been looking for something like that for ages. About the drugs- I was on Prozac first along with lithium and olanzapine, then Effexor, then Fluvoxamine, then Zoloft which I stopped suddenly last year. I've been on a french drug (stablon) to manage the side effects since then which I tapered off 5 months ago. I was on the highest dose of all of these for 7 years in total.
P.S I came of a high dose after 6 years really suddenly because of my circumstances. I didn't taper, which I regret. I think this was really the problem. Plus, my nerves got strained more because I live next to loud neighbours who blast their music at 6:00am in the morning and I had insomnia from the withdrawal for months on end. I think this contributed. Not everyone will have the same experience- which I guess is what makes these drugs even more weird and unpredictable.
These drugs are unknown to doctors how they work in living human brains. Taking them are risks. These risks are never told by the prescriber who is usually a psychiatrist. Many also get these drugs prescribed from regular doctors, but act of matter is its psychiatric designed, psychiatric advertising causing psychiatric deaths and cripples. The government allowed this chaos too occur as they work hand in hand with psychiatrists.
Draziom203. I will decide for myself whether psychiatry destroyed me. I will also decide whether or not this nerve pain is permanent. Like I said in previous posts- it disappears when I'm happy and content. This is more of a reason to focus on being content instead of angry and stressed all the time.Like I said- the brain and body is complicated and everyone's journey is different. PLEASE RESPECT THAT. Anyone who's been prescribed these drugs doesn't need to be convinced that psychiatry is bad.
I didn't think you were being rude at all. Your thoughts and attitude are normal for someone going through the hell you're going through. I'm not surprised that you're crawling out of your skin. If anything, I feel for you. I personally can't think very constructively when I'm angry. I make the best decisions when I'm calm and focused.
For example- I've tracked down the location of the psych that put me on the meds and I plan on letting him know how irresponsible his decision was and also write to the superiors where he works. Also, as opposed to condemning the psychiatrists 24/7, I collect the data and information to back it up e.g there's was a recent news story about how the makers of prozac were fined 1 billion dollars (the highest amount yet) for bribing doctors (and psychiatrists) with resort stays and other perks
to encourage them to dispense with the medication. Then I share this with other people. I also recommend books people can read if they want to know the dangers of psychiatry e.g the fact that psychiatrists used to treat schizophrenia with LSD (which was first developed by the same ppl that brought us prozac). So by all means, lets be friends but I'm not going to dedicate all my time and energy wishing death to psychiatrists.
my life has been ruined by prozac,i have so many of the symptoms in the video, they should ban ssris.i would never have taken it if i knew what id go through for one day, never mind 4 years!watch my video ,danger projac to see what ive been through.

@Flamestar1989 how long have you been taking them for are you worried that people say they cause brain damamge? do u know if this is true or not?
dannyboidj1 2 weeks ago
@dannyboidj1 I think I've always been pretty brain-dead, so im not so worried about brain damage :P They aren't devastating, but they prevent you from getting REM (in deep sleep) and thus they cause memory loss, because sleep is what solidifies your memories. ADs trap serotonin within neurotransmitters, so you produce less in the long-term. Serotonin is needed for sleep. I demanded melatonin (body turns it into serotonin) to regulate my sleep. I want to avoid ADs when im not neurotic/psychotic.

I started tapering in Nov. Finished my last perscription in Dec. Had no brain zaps or side effects. 3 months later tho in March i got sick, following that i've had brain zaps since...cept the brain zaps feel different now, it feels more like a strong quick DULLING feeling rather than a "jumpy" zap..I KNOW they're brain zaps tho cuz they're trigged by the same thing taht used to cause them when i'd miss my paxil for a day or 2 (sudden anxiety or any sort of strong emotion causes it)
Wallychans 8 months ago
I also feel it in the same part of my head. I would deffinately prefer the old zaps i'd get over these, at least with the old zaps i felt some sort of emotion along with it, even if it be anger or anxiety. Now when i get these "zaps" my emotions disappear and i feel dull and dead inside. My body seems to be screamin for paxil, anytime i think about taking it when i get these zaps i feel a strange comfort, like my body is telling me that's what i need and that's what it wants. I hate it.

dannyboidj1 2 weeks ago
@dannyboidj1
CodeofVideos 2 weeks ago
@CodeofVideos Your side effects remind me of what it was like when I was on effexor (venlafaxine). You should give credits to the drugs because if you were chronically depressed you wouldn't have been able to make those changes in your environment. ADs are far from perfect, but can save you in the darkest days. Ironically, some ADs, like effexor substitute depression for anxiety. Try natural solutions to build up your defenses, then use these as coping resources when you come off them.
Flamestar1989 2 weeks ago
@Flamestar1989
No.
The changes in my environment were simple tweaks. It had nothing to do with what the drugs did to me.

Russel Blaylock), where others return in almost the same numbers i believe.
famnel1 8 months ago
@FreakyKong These drugs keep the brains chemicals that sends signals from one braincell to the other between the cells, depression is lack of one of the 4 mood chemicals in the brain and lack of vitamins/minerals. Stress and junkfood kill our minds. Julia Ross says "Junk foods create junk moods" feel free to write me personally for any further help

SSRI's damage the CNS permanently by make it super-hyper-excitable, shrink brain, damage neurotransmitters. Visible symptoms are deep depression, extreme anxiety, paranoia etc. Symptoms people never had before. SSRI's cause perm brain zaps, perm head/body pains. Brain zaps and short term memory loss is clearly brain damage. You can make up whatever euphemistic explanations you want but a normal brain does not do this only a damaged brain does this. THAT IS BRAIN DAMAGE PEOPLE AND DOCTORS! Apparently some people can recover while others are left permanently disabled.

anti-depressant usage/anti-depressant withdrawal cause serious neuro-chemical reactions to put it bluntly. if you thought you were imbalanced before, trust me you were better off than you felt....and, paxil is one of the worst. haven't they begun mass-tort lawsuits on this one?...have you lost a loved one via induced suicidal ideation? i think paxil was one of the big ones that most quacks have stopped prescribing. notice how ridiculous the placebo percents are in the clinical trials. fraud!

TheUnpromisedOne 2 years ago

TheUnpromisedOne 2 years ago

Draziom203 2 years ago
I'll get to it . I been feeling very sick lately and have problems with my mobility due to SSRI withdrawal damaging the nerves in my body as well as my head, face, mouth, neck. I developed Tardive Dyskenisia, Neuralgia, Neuropathy, CPS all from SSRI's/SNRI's i took for 17 years. Going to a psychiatrist is the most DANGEROUS thing one can do.
Draziom203 2 years ago

I have to go into a pain clinic next week for a Lidocaine Infusione to help stop my chronic head pains from SSRI withdrawals. I got permanent central pain from SSRI/SNRI's. At the moment i take Oxycontin, Lyrica and 1 mg Paxil. Pain is so severe its spreading to my face, neck, jaw, chest. All this serious damage from psychiatrists. If i knew then what i know now, i would have NEVER taken these neurotoxins.
Draziom203 2 years ago

Draziom203 2 years ago
Your head pain is due to taking the ssri, so when you stop taking it these pains will slowly subside as you heal. Think about it.
spacks77 2 years ago
They aren't pains that one can handle with Omega 3's. They're head pains so severe it will lead to death. Thats why i was put on Narcotics to help stop the most severe pains. I had no choice. I didn't want Narcotics. You wouldn't believe the head pains i have. It will scare you as it scares me. Its a nightmare.
Draziom203 2 years ago
Those that want the truth about SSRI's can read my posts. This is my story and experience. SSRI's do cause permanent damage. Neurologically. I have 17 years experience with psychiatric drugs as well as the system. Psychiatry is for the sucker, the naive, the vulnerable. don't be fooled by psychiatrists. My last words to the wise.
Draziom203 2 years ago
I have 13 years of experience with psychiatric drugs and the system, from the ages of 7 to 20, and I DEFINITELY despise everything regarding big pharma and psychiatry. I'm almost 18 months into withdrawal, and although recovery takes a long time, I HAVE gotten slightly better within those 18 months.
The difference between me and you is this: I'm not trying to FLAME people just because they are on medications. You, however, call those who criticize or question you EVERY name in the book via PM.
TheUnpromisedOne 2 years ago
You love psychiatry thats why you blame me for bashing it and bashing those who support it. Its that simple. I sympathize those who didn't know the risks, dangers, and method of diagnosis and fell in trap. But i do NOT sympathize those that knew the ins and outs of the system and took the risk.

Draziom203 2 years ago
God- what idiot put you on drugs at the age of 7?? And where was your family when they were doing this? I commend you for having such a positive attitude. That's basically all of your childhood you' ve been on drugs. Hope you're getting the support you need...
lovejoypain 2 years ago
My family was basically FORCED to do so by the school system. The school system threatened to take me away or some crazy shit. In effect, they had NO control over the fact. One of the reasons I loathe living in CT. I was a pretty wild kid beforehand, but then again, who isn't at that age?
I DON'T have a positive attitude. I'm pretty much one of the most angry people I've ever known right now. I ALWAYS have rage towards the psychiatrists that put me on those pills. Rage of the violent kind.
TheUnpromisedOne 2 years ago
I don't blame you for having RAGE against the psychiatrist who done this harm to you. You have the right to be enraged. I'm sorry and sympathetic that you were brainwashed and victimized by those evil psychs. Try to sue their BALLS OFF.
Draziom203 2 years ago
And also, I tried to look for a therapist, but after basically being told that I would have needed to see another psychiatrist in order to do so, I didn't want to take the chances of ending up back on their drugs. I had long since filled out that chapter of my life, because I knew those pills would either be responsible for me dying or ending up in prison one day. So, I decided, I needed to try to get better myself.
TheUnpromisedOne 2 years ago
To stop the damage of what i had is to wean off very very slow and i mean 1mg to 1/2 mg every month or two. Rapid withdrawal or cold turkey will kill you or cause permanent damage like it did to me. I may have to have DBS (depe brain stimulation to stop the painful neurological central pain caused by SSRI withdrawal damage.
Draziom203 2 years ago
I know you're a complete ass that LOVES to flame everybody who criticizes or questions your little opinions, but I would like to have proof of antidepressant withdrawals causing permanent damage. I mean, I've gone cold turkey off of several medications, particularly because those pills were driving me literally insane, and it was a matter of life and death, and yet, almost 18 months after that, I'm still alive and well, albeit with quite a few withdrawal symptoms.
TheUnpromisedOne 2 years ago
Yeah, took SSRI's at low doses for 3 weeks?. Try more than a decade at HIGH doses and get off it then come talk to me.
Draziom203 2 years ago
I wasn't on SSRIs at low doses for 3 weeks, otherwise I wouldn't even be on here fighting with you right now, because I wouldn't have suffered enough because of psychiatry to even CARE about psychiatry. I was on SSRIs from the ages of 7 through 20. That's 13 years... 156 months, 676 weeks, or 4732 days, whichever time measurement you prefer.
Doesn't change the fact that if you AREN'T trolling, you're at least an arrogant ass that acts better than everybody else.
TheUnpromisedOne 2 years ago
You want proof of antidepressants causing PERMANENT damage. I AM ONE. Hows that?. If you withdrew from antidepressants and didn't have severe withdrawal or long term or even perm nerve damage, then you took very low doses of the drug or for a very short period of time. Long term users at high dose and abrupt cessation will cause permanent damage as it did to me. i am 3 years and diagnosed with Central Pain Syndrome and on Narcotics. THATS PERMANENT.
Draziom203 2 years ago
Hi Dizz,
Pardon my language but Effexor is one nasty m'fer. I went cold turkey on this drug too so I can tell you that you cannot undermine it's significance on how you are now feeling. How long ago did you rid yourself of this poison? If not too long, it may be a factor in you coming off benzos...you could have some underlying w/d going on from it. Not to minimize a/d withdrawal (it can rip your head to pieces) but it traditionally doesn't last as long as benzo w/d.
dcSENTIENT 2 years ago
That last post of mine is a direct reply from an SSRI and Benzo addiction survivor / BenzoIsland staff. She went through a lot worse than you and I have mate, believe me. Her hair fell out, she had excruciating zaps for 5 years, regular seizures, DPDR, EVERYTHING. She is now 99.9% better.
You DO get through this.
dcSENTIENT 2 years ago
Brain zaps are painful. Some say they aren't, some say they are. The reality is they are painful. Those that says they aren't don't have brain zaps. If you want to see real suffering of ssri users read PaxilProgress users. Benzoisland is for benzo users and strictly for benzo users. Nothing to do with ssri withdrawal.

Draziom203 2 years ago

Dude, you dont know the pain and what i feel. This ssri withdrawal in my case has caused permanent damage. If it wasn't permant i wouldn't have CPS pain for 3 years consistently. Your withdrawal is easy as you took the drug for a very short time. 8 years of protracted withdrawal? thats PERMANENT. What person has unrelenting damage for 8 years and still have hope for recovery? i smell BS. You gotta listen to me , your'e not being rational. There are many who have perm damage.
Draziom203 2 years ago

So please, no more replies to me. Thanks.
dcSENTIENT 2 years ago
Mate, you told me to listen to you. You can't say that. You don't know the pain i feel from SSRI damage. As much hope you can give me, i appreciate it., but i can assure you i am damaged for life. I am a rare case in a rare situation. I'm telling the truth of what i experienced with these drugs. I'm sorry but we can't come to a mutual agreement and understanding. We have to terminate our debate. Taking psych drugs for 17 years is dff than a few months or 1 year.
Draziom203 2 years ago
I believe what you're saying about the CPS pain. I came off the drugs suddenly after 6 years and several months after developed neuropathy in my arms, legs, hands and feet and pelvic area (painful to sit! And very annoying). It's worse when I don't sleep but gets better when I'm in a good mood and eating well. It started 3 months after I stopped and it's been going on for 8 months. So, how
do you cope with the CPS pain? Do you work at all?
lovejoypain 2 years ago
Now you understand that SSRI's cause permanent nerve damage. It causes Neuropathy, Neuralgia, as well as other nerve related disorders thats permanent or long term. But most nerve pains are permanent since it gets into (memory pain). Psychiatry destroyed you like they destroyed many. Its time to fight back.
Draziom203 2 years ago
I know all about neuropathy and neuritis etc from a book I bought on pain. It also says one of the ways to fight back against the nerve pain is by increasing natural endorphins (through laughter, doing things you enjoy, being positive) and excercise. It must be true because I notice the nerve pain goes away when I'm happy and comes back during times of stress or lack of sleep. As for fighting back. Yes, I fight back- through knowledge, acceptance and spiritual growth.Grieving is a process.
lovejoypain 2 years ago
Severe Nerve disorders caused by SSRI drugs are usually long term or mostly permanent like i got it. SSRI/SNRI's are serotonin/norepinephrine blockers. They damage brain cells directly designed. What i meant to fight back is to fight back against the psychiatrists and psychiatric industry before they brainwash, kill and injure more innocent people.
Draziom203 2 years ago
Hi Draziom203. Before I can take on the psychiatric community, I have to take on my health first. The system isn't going to change overnight.I have to make sure first and foremost that I'm alive in a few years/decades when the industry is held accountable to be able to testify! I've only been off the drugs for 1 year (the drug I stopped suddenly). So it's a little too early to call anything permanent. Just as the drugs cause brain damage there's also such a thing as neurogenisis.
lovejoypain 2 years ago
You seem like a rational person and i agree, your health comes FIRST. When you feel better and if you do get better FIGHT THE PSYCHS with us. There are hundreds of thousands of psych victims like me and you who've been brainwashed and damaged by psychiatrists. Their time for justice will come. God will not forgive them. WAR TO PSYCHIATRY.
Draziom203 2 years ago
Neurogenisis also works more when you keep your brain active and healthy. Thanks for the information on cchr- I've been looking for something like that for ages. About the drugs- I was on Prozac first along with lithium and olanzapine, then Effexor, then Fluvoxamine, then Zoloft which I stopped suddenly last year. I've been on a french drug (stablon) to manage the side effects since then which I tapered off 5 months ago. I was on the highest dose of all of these for 7 years in total.
lovejoypain 2 years ago
P.S I came of a high dose after 6 years really suddenly because of my circumstances. I didn't taper, which I regret. I think this was really the problem. Plus, my nerves got strained more because I live next to loud neighbours who blast their music at 6:00am in the morning and I had insomnia from the withdrawal for months on end. I think this contributed. Not everyone will have the same experience- which I guess is what makes these drugs even more weird and unpredictable.
lovejoypain 2 years ago
These drugs are unknown to doctors how they work in living human brains. Taking them are risks. These risks are never told by the prescriber who is usually a psychiatrist. Many also get these drugs prescribed from regular doctors, but act of matter is its psychiatric designed, psychiatric advertising causing psychiatric deaths and cripples. The government allowed this chaos too occur as they work hand in hand with psychiatrists.
Draziom203 2 years ago
Anyone who's been prescribed these drugs doesn't need to be convinced that psychiatry is bad.
lovejoypain 2 years ago
I didn't think you were being rude at all. Your thoughts and attitude are normal for someone going through the hell you're going through. I'm not surprised that you're crawling out of your skin. If anything, I feel for you. I personally can't think very constructively when I'm angry. I make the best decisions when I'm calm and focused.

For example- I've tracked down the location of the psych that put me on the meds and I plan on letting him know how irresponsible his decision was and also write to the superiors where he works. Also, as opposed to condemning the psychiatrists 24/7, I collect the data and information to back it up e.g there's was a recent news story about how the makers of prozac were fined 1 billion dollars (the highest amount yet) for bribing doctors (and psychiatrists) with resort stays and other perks
lovejoypain 2 years ago
to encourage them to dispense with the medication.
