Demon's Mail is a holy bitch to steal.

Best way to kill this shit is on disc 2 when you have to rescue Dagger from Zorn and Thorn.

Have Steiners max and current hp diff between 200-150, and use Minus Strike, since Tantarian is between page 150-200 ( the damage you deal to him determines the page he will reveal to you). Then spam him with Vivis Fira (with 4x focus).

= win.

@TheCloudofDarkness When I fought him the page appeared to be random (and yes I tried hitting in that range). It only took about 3-4 attacks to find him though.

Beating him is easy. Stealing the demons mail is not. He just won't let go of it.

i have no problem beating this guy.. my only problem is how to steal successfully the demon's mail.. i have no problem stealing the first two items its just the last one.. in order for u to not to be annihilated in this battle is just by simply equip that auto-life skill to anyone on your party..

ah....what i normally do is wait until he comes out, have everyone with antibody and auto-reflect on, steal everything he has, and then, sometimes after a focus or two, use bio on all of my teammates, this normally does 9999, but that's because i like to grind alot so i fight the grand dragons, my current playthrough, all my characters are lvl 50 and steiner's 31 so i just have to worry about Doom and that stupid timer

when i fought soulcage i used phoenix on him and no was revived and all my party died

@soraultimate99 i think phoenix revives your party sometimes, not always. i think i read somewhere that the amount of phoenix pinions (can't remember, haven't played in awhile) increases the percentage of it happening.

@soraultimate99 When you fight soulcage just cast life on him and he dies :P Or a phoenix down and then attack him (since he has 1 hp)

This was one of the hardest bosses for me! (The other being soulcage with his damn mustard bomb!)

I always thought the Tantarian was cute but never knew what its name meant so being curious, I looked it up. Closest thing I could find is "Tartarian".

If you are having problems with Soulcage, try throwing a phoneix down on it; Soulcage is undead.

You can fight him on disc 2. when you leave Clyera and return to Alexandria to find dagger in the 30 minute time frame. Im on it right now

I went 3 hours trying to steal demon's mail... I eventually gave up and killed him. =[

Why did he close at 5:57 after Vivi cast Bio? He's only meant to do that if you physically attack the main body.

My guess is that there's a set amount of turns that the book will stay open, untill it closes, reguardless of a physical attack, but yes this boss was fun ^^

I remember fighting this asshole by accident, it scared me because I didn't expect that there would be a boss iin one of the bookshelves especially under all the commotion, I was just checking tha castle so I don't miss a treasure, and boy did I get a treasure?

I stole one in the optional battle with Master Quale -- pinched it right off him with the Thief Gloves. Other than that, I am not so sure where you can get those on the cheap.

I figured this out mostly by trail and effect. I find that fighting almost all of the battles will get you to the proper level and also getting abilities. To use the guide.....well you can find out what to do next and what you should equip for boss fights. Playonline doesnt have the information any more so you cant exactly use that. E-mail me if you're stuck or have a question.
