the only thing nice about this car is the back end. the front looks like the million other bmw that are made. Nothing really distinct about bmw, unless you have a V8 version, the rest, common old cars like the escort was 20yrs ago everybody had one bit like robots off a production line.

I think this vehicle looks awesome, at least in person, i think it will make good sales for bmw however the styling of this vehicle ain't very original, it reminds me too much of Infiniti's FX which i think looks hotter than X6 and Nissan does deserve credit for it's originality in design. FX was launched way back in 2002. The FX inspired most car companies (Buick, bmw, Audi, Ford, Lincoln, Toyota, Chrysler) to start making crossovers with resemblances of the FX. Kudos to Nissan.

YES!!11! About time BMW show 'some' of its true colors! I hope that in the near future, BMW make their cars look even better. In my opinion, they could do more with the 7series - even with the facelift, its still not as 'hot' looking as S-class MB. 5series could do with a facelift as the head and taillights look like Dane Edna's glasses. Finally, the 3series Sedan could do with an even better taillight facelift; despite one coming for 2009 - still not as perfect like the 3er Coupe taillight.

I just got to drive a x6 just two days ago, and it was extremely smooth and luxurious. Where ever I drove people just stared at the car. Also inside it reflects the speed limit on the drivers side windshield so you don't have to look down.

You are right! from the front it looks very much BMW (6 series); the back competes with the ugly Porsche Cayene and even the Lexus. Visibility backwards is zero! that is why the X6 comes with a video camera for that purpose. It will be lauch in Germany, beginning of May, basis price... EUR 78000! OUCH!
