A similar incident like this happened at the Bridge when Cole and Terry clattered into eachother on the half-way line, and play continued when Chelsea were attacking in United''s half, but suddenly play stops when United got the ball back and was ready to hit them on the break! Fucking disgraceful decisions like this p*ss me right off.
also this was a "FAIR PLAY" charity game and chelsea still can't avoid their trademark foul play tactics & scoring illegal goals as usual & being rewarded for dirty anti-football. still bitter about the champions league final yeah?? thought so and it's 3games just this season alone against us they've needed a series of poor decisions just to win by the smallest of margins but imagine if chelsea were to win the league now...it would cause major uproar.
at the end of the day it was not only a foul hence chelsea shouldn't have scored the 2nd goal but it was also a red card offence and he got let off in both. not only that, he also took and scored 1of chelsea's penalties in the penalty shoot-out so it's just same old chelsea, they don't know any other way to play and don't have the ability to play better so they resort to this they're just a disgrace.
It actually doesn't matter if Rooney saw it or not, if the ref did register the foul, and played on, Rooney was in clear control, and was able to continue play without pressure, Carrick gave the ball away, under no pressure at all, it would not have changed anything Rooney had seen it, and the admission that he did'nt see it, make his reaction after the goal even more annoying!
I am a united fan but tbh i dont think it would have made a difference.. the ref made some bad mistakes that match and a rules needs to be made about this. But we have so many divers and fake injuries the ref doesn't always know what to do... the fact that this was a red the ref shouldn't have to think again
It was not a red card, it was a deliberate block, no elbow was used at all, his forearm was across Evra's chest, if you check one of the better vids you can see that clearly, in no world or league would this have been a red card!
Its AMAZING that some chealsea fans are so ignorant & blind to say things like samumathew said.... what an idiot.
PEOPLE ITS NOT ABOUT THE TEAM YOU SUPPORT... when something is wrong with football all teams will suffer... today might be uniteds turn but tommorow might be chealsea....
A BLIND BAT COULD HAVE SEEN THAT FOUL.. how come you cant?
fair dues to chealsea for scoring..cant fault them... but it was a clear advantage having the leftback out of the equasion. BALLACK is a dirty player.
you can't say that the chelsea players not stopping the play was a bad thing to do. Did Evra look like he was going to stop the play when he fouled Ballack?
Hit to the head, game should have been stopped simple as. I dont support Man U and tbh Don't like them at all but that should have really been stopped.

no foul....luk carefully....he jus blocked...he didnt hit his face...evra jus fell becuz of the force nthin much...he jus faked tat he hit his face...but ref was nt fooled....he said play on....and then by luck ballack went and shot a goal...
Ref's fault. Chelsea, while unsporting, did what they had to do as professionals. Utd didn't stop playing; they simply didn't have the players to cover back. Ref lacked the professionalism there to stop play consistently.
The contact came so long after Evra had passed the ball, although the ref is still looking in the same direction, I think his focus had shifted to Rooney. Like you say Utd players didn't even notice and carried on playing on, a crap ball by Carrick and suddenly they're in trouble... Personally I think it was a foul, but they cannot make out like the foul gave Chelsea a huge advantage!
Chelsea did have a big advantage because where lampard was is where evra would have been. However i know agree that united should have seen the problem and booted it out
Evra would not have been there though, as he was trying to run past Ballack, he'd have been the other end of the pitch, higher up than Rooney, and then 5 seconds later they loose possession, Fletcher (I think) couldn't even get back in time, and he was on the half way line!
Why is Martin Atkinson reffing the match tomorrow at Stamford Bridge?!?!?!??!?!? He was atrocious in this last year

if he elbowed him in the face he would be bleeding. Football players always cover there face to make it more traumatizing.

This is the first time I saw it since leaving the stadium. Despite being a Chelsea fan, I happy to admit that was an obvious foul.

well the bodycheck was a big thing, bc lampard was standing unmarked wher evra would have been tracking back.

I support neither team but Ballack should have been sent off.
