@GalagaKing Good point. You can install a version onto a USB Key from a few sources or compile your own build. I got one from Dell's site and it runs much faster than what you see. I'm installed it on a Dell Mini 1012.

@Athos523 I've been using Chromium OS on my netbook for a while now. For all practical explanation, it's simply the chrome web browser running on a very light version of linux. When you log in you will only see the chrome browser. If you close the browser tabs it kicks you back to the login screen. Linux-wise, If you click CTRL-ALT-T the chrome will slide over and give you a console. You can do your average light linux version commands, (ssh, wget) and switch back and forth via ALT-TAB

Mac apps are packages which appear to the user as a single file. This makes it very convenient to move apps to a new folder or a new computer. @DLOWSHIT I use ChromiumOS and get your point. Keep in mind, Chromium was not designed to replace a full OS. Rather, it's replacing someone having to run a full OS on hardware when they don't need to.  I like it because it's quick to boot, sleep, wake, uses less hardware resources, maximizes battery life and serves my everyday needs. When I need to do games, work, web design, photoshop, I go on a bigger computer. For simple web stuff, it's fun to be different.

But for other netbooks a good portion of peeps use Hexxeh's build (google it). You can burn Hexxeh's onto a CD or you can burn an img to a USB and boot. In fact you can just run it off USB and never install it on the local machine. I did that and finally took the dive and committed it to my netbook.
