Beautiful car.I met someone today that has a 71 that needs alot of work but does have a good running 440 in it...he wants to trade it for my jeep..he is asking $7800 for it..so it must need a few things right?..if it is not rusted to bad I am going to make the deal..I really have been craving a muscle car recently...oh, and my colors of choice is black with black wheels...your car is better than gold, dont sell it....
@rtmike70 That's no exhaust leak. That's the hemi whispering to me "stick your foot in me and drive me like you used to, you wimp." The "wimp" part, though true, really made me sad. So I turned off the heat in the garage!!
My 69' Charger R/T SE is loaded with options, but was or dered with a column shift... Weird for the HP cars and RT's to be column, But kind of cool for the rareness .
Im pretty sure the last hemi charger built is the yellow car used in the Richard petty challenger commercial. It's in Tim Welbourn's collection. Check it out, he has the first and last.
a lot of 71 cars of any brand had the good pre 71 options. they WERE plenty.but a lot of them got wrecked.. crushed. and are not out there anymore. good to see someone has still got one
dodge was scrapping the hemi engine in 1970. but the guy who ordered it ordered it in 71. that was when cars where built to the owners spec. the numbers match because of the build sheet. i have only seen one actual Z28 with a column shift with a bench seat. it was ordered that way.but that's what makes any muscle car extremely rare especially a 426 car. on the column. those are survivor cars
that car is extremely rare to be ordered with an automatic ON THE COLUMN... they are very rare. usually on the floor. the hemi was one of the leftover motors from 1970. you could order anything they had left on the shelf when you purchased a new car. if they had a hemi you could order itand because dodge was doing away with the hemi in 70 the original owner probably got it at a steel. THAT IS ONE AWESOME RIDE. that thing is priceless

LOL, Thirty mile an hour and got rubber on drive by, Thats awesome and i see why you treat your car with some respect, Hell mine is an original slant six i converted to 318 and painted, etc. etc. wouldnt know how to act with a car like yours!!! I would probably sleep in it HaHaHa, thumbs ups to you!!!!
Half those people on the freeway probably don't even know what kinda car that is! More than half! Long live the old MOPARs!!! When was the last time a stocker sounded like that right outta the showroom??? Simply awesome. Enjoy that car!

What's ugly about this generation of chargers? They were they had the best looking bodies of any thing on the road at that time.
