  • This sounds like something from a Pokemon game.

  • Could I get the tracker order and commands you used to get the tetris theme? I mean the orignal not your mod. I wana creat some tetris dubstep with lsdj.

  • Ok, get rid of the hip hop stuff, but i think it's amazing to see how sound processing in the game boy works. I always asked myself how many synthesizer parameters you have for your composition.

I will have a look at this emulator sequencer ...

  • not all is 8 bit

  • nice.

  • woo,cool man this AWESOOoooMMMeee

  • @

    xXCr1stylToolsXx, its called LSDJ

  • [`'_']Best.Tetris.Remix.Ever!

  • the begging is epic!

  • Thanks =)

I haven't made an 8bit song in a while now...

  • dude, this is great!

  • what lsdj version is?

  • very nice

  • tetris music just became hip hop music lol

  • thts hot ayo where can i get one of thoughs music things

  • it's called Little Music DJ.

  • I think you mean "Little Sound DJ"

  • lol CHECK. DIS. OUT.

    xD

  • By the way, there's absolutely no need to lie. This is obviously an emulator, and the ROM is PD so it's perfectly legal ;)

  • LSDJ is fuckingg MINT! .. this song int bad either :DD

  • chiptunes ftw

  • @YoshiFan501 Does Kitsune^2 count? The chiptunes from that guy are epic.

  • awsome man

  • how long have you been doing this for. its so good. im after someone to teach me even if i have to pay.

  • no one can "teach" you how to make chiptune. It's something you sort of learn on your own. You develop a unique sound. You develop yourself. An image. Learning how to track is a good start though. Just experiment and you'll start to learn and understand how this works.

  • this is really cool :] turn it into an mp3! i want it! lol

  • thats really cool

  • great skills man

  • that was awesome! i want a gameboy now.

  • how do you go into the system menue for gameboy?

  • use LSDJ.

  • hey isn't that little sound dj???

  • why yes, it is!

  • How do you do that?

  • Omfg... you gotta have MADDD skillz to remix a MIDI song within a source code of a gameboy ROM! I give you huge propz! lol, im speechless, now only is the mix nice, but its a FruityLoop on a GB!! You must have skillz in both music and computing. Propz again man

  • lollll, by the way, i just saw your other titre, cracked me up. Sex sells, nearly 3x more views than this.

  • the program used for this vid is called LSDJ (little sound dj) It's a tracker written for the gameboy. Not really the source-code from a gameboy rom or anything.

You can find it on the webz. google for little sound dj

  • It's the same gameboy soundchip and tetris notes, however revisited and remixed, so in essence this is a 'source code hack', just using LSDJ as the interface :)

  • parece facil

  • i own at this game

  • That is amazing.

I didn't know you could preform gameboy music live :-D

    wish I could do that.

  • Hm, nice use of the SONG mode as if it was the LIVE one :) I'd prefered some more variety but it's OK for me. The additional end voices were plain great, and the table 05 was just awesome! Now that's a good way to make some glitch music, so thank you for the "tutorial".

I will e-mail some GB musicians about this to compile a GB-composing-how-to guide they are writing.

  • Hey, thanks!

What's the tutorial you were referring to? I can email the vid file or gameboy file if it would be of any benefit.

  • It is chip musician nitro2k01 who is compilling the guide in his blog. I think he knows about your video because I asked him once and he told me he had watched it, so you may not need to send it to him after all :)

    Keep on rockin'!

  • you could probably view the code by getting the rom and opening it in a text file, or some other viewer.

  • Precisely.

  • Teach me how to do that! lol.

    Great job!

  • Sure.

Buy a Gameboy, LSDJ and Tetris.

I'll email you the tutorial and source code.

  • hey where do you buy LSDJ?

    I can't find it...

  • taconip you can find it at littlesounddj dut comz

  • is that program free? it looks friggin complicated to! and how the hell did u hack ur gameboy? i hardly no how to use command promt ;) haha this was really awesome, ur relly good. do u make any other music with other programs besides taht one? cause u'd make a good dj on acidpro or fl studio =D great vid!

  • Thanks!

Yes I'm highly considering buying FL Studio, otherwise I've only experimented a bit with Reason 2.0.

Like warrantyvoid mentioned below I opened the tetris rom file in a source code viewer.

  • LSDJ FTW!!!!!!!!

  • I think you mean WTF

  • FTW=For the win/world

  • sweet yo!!!

  • Thx.

  • pretty nice, apart from the speed at 39 wher eit slows down..

    apart fomr that, pretty gd!

    :)

    stewart,

  • It starts at 95 BPM and then I increase it to 155 BPM, where does it slow down? Is there an auditory illusion? Or are you referring to the tetris theme interlude between 41 and 51 sec? Thanks for the comment.

  • Lol cool stuff ^^

  • Yeah, cool remix...

Who do you hack the source code? ?_?

  • Thanks!

I opened the gameboy tetris game data files and then transferred the values into a program called LSDJ (little sound DJ) thus in effect emulating the exact same sound as in the game.
